But her words were bold. “ I would rather f*uck your father than give you another chance!” In anger and pain, she had an encounter with a stranger. Sawyer, her one-night stand. Hot. Gorgeous. Every woman's dream even in his early forties. “ I'll f*ck you, Vanessa. I'll make you forget everything else.” “ Do it, hunk…I want you, deep inside me” she said provocatively. The next morning, she saw the same face in the board meeting and Justin cheerfully calling Sawyer. “ Dad!” Vanessa was stomped. She actually f*uvk his dad! She regretted it. What would happen when Vanessa saw Sawyer in another light and person? Will she open her heart once more to the father of the man who once shattered it? Will this forbidden love triumph over Sawyer's hidden identity or will it shatter every hope of love between them?

She Regret it

Vanessa was engrossed in her charts, trying to meet up with the deadline given by her boyfriend, Justin. It was finally going to be over after all these years working through experiments.

But just as she just finished wrapping up, her phone ding. A familiar sound customized for the hospital's storeroom.

She frowned as she reached out for her phone. " It seems someone is in the storeroom."

Recently, the head nurse had placed her in charge of the storeroom. Chief Ripley had warned her to be careful about the things kept there, or else she was going to pay for any missing items. Due to the threat, Vanessa had secretly hidden an Ai security camera to capture intruders movement.

" Let's see who had the guts to go–"

Vanessa's grip on the chart tightened as she watched the footage. She clutched the stacks of files, breathing in. This wasn't what she was expecting. Her eyes were glued to the two familiar people in the video, stripping and caressing each other.

Vanessa couldn't stop herself as she picked up her phone and walked down the hospital hallway, her eyes flashing with anger. Her white coat fluttered behind her. She clutched the phone as her eyes scanned the area.

As she approached the door to the storeroom, her grip on the phone tightened again. Just then, she heard it. Almost like a confirmation, a faint moan drifting out of the storeroom.

Vanessa's heart shattered. The video was real. Her brows furrowed as she pushed open the door open, her hands shaking at what she was about to see.

It was so real. Her boyfriend and her best friend, Brooklyn were entangled right there in the storeroom. The same as the clip from the footage.

She thought the video was probably doctored. She knew she was lying to herself, yet she hoped fervently it was, but alas, one look at her boyfriend shattered that illusion.

Her boyfriend, Justin's eyes were screwed shut, his jaw tight as he drove his cock into Brooklyn from behind. She was braced on her toes, knees wide, squatting low with her palms flat on the table.

Every thrust made her tits swing and her breath catch in short, wet gasps. His hips slapped against her ass, his fingers digging into the meat of her thighs as he positioned into her pussy without rhythm—just forceful, desperate need.

Brooklyn’s head was tilted back, her mouth open, when she noticed Vanessa standing pale and still in the doorway. A slow, wicked smirk curled her lips even as a moan slipped out.

“Fuck… Justin…” She rolled her hips back to meet his next thrust, driving him deeper, and let her eyes stay fixed on the other woman, a silent dare.

Justin was lost—completely absorbed in the heat and slickness of Brooklyn’s cunt, the way she squeezed him with every grind. He let out a low, groan, his balls slapping against her wet skin, too far gone to notice anyone else.

His fingers tightened, pulling her back harder onto his cock. The only sounds were the wet, rhythmic thwack of their bodies colliding and their broken, pleasure-soaked noises.

“Justin…” Brooklyn voice was faint. Her heartbeat sounded louder than her voice.

Brooklyn smirked while moaning. Justin, engrossed, let out pleasurable noises.

His voice was filled with pleasure, “I can't seem to get enough of you, Brooklyn. Unlike that stiff wood Vanessa who hardly has time for me.”

Vanessa's medical chart and files clattered to the ground. The engrossed Justin opened his eyes in haste. He saw Vanessa, her eyes digging into their escapades. They sprang apart as guilt flickered across Justin's face for a split second.

Brooklyn giggled nervously or at least pretend to be, hiding behind Vanessa's so-called boyfriend.

Vanessa's eyes locked onto Justin's. Her hand stilled on the doorframe.

“Justin, how could you?”

One was the man she had given her body, her work, and her three years to without blinking. The other was her best friend. With fury burning through, Vanessa was about to confront them when Brooklyn's voice broke through the air.

“You have yourself to blame. Stop guilt tripping us." Her voice was soft and pleased.

Justin who had maintained calmness after the initial guilt just shrugged too,“ Brooklyn is right. If you hadn't been so engrossed in your residency, I won't be sex starved. I hope this stays within this wall. Brooklyn can't afford to miss her residency."

The Residency.

That was it. That was all she was worth to him. The perfect girlfriend to push his career.

The three years, the late nights she had spent trying to breakthrough every experimental challenges and his promises… none of it mattered. Not compared to Brooklyn’s future.

Vanessa’s vision blurred with rage, her hands clasped tightly while biting her lips so hard it ticked with droplets of blood.

“So that’s it?” Her voice was low now, dangerous in a way she’d never used with him before. “Three years, and I’m just the inconvenience you have to silence? And you—” She turned on Brooklyn, voice shaking. “You’re my best friend. You knew. You knew and you still—”

Brooklyn cut her off with a lazy shrug, pulling the shirt tighter around herself. “You were never enough for him, Ness. Face it.”

The words hit harder than the sight of them together.

Vanessa stared at the two of them — the man who’d promised her forever and the friend who’d clapped at her engagement party. Both of them standing there, clothed in excuses, while she stood in the doorway with nothing but the ruin of her life.

She didn’t cry. She wouldn’t give them that.

Instead, she laughed coldly and hollowed.

“Keep it a secret?” Vanessa almost laughed, stepping back, one hand still on the doorframe like it was the only thing keeping her upright. Then she showed them the video,“ Not when I have this in my possession. Just kiss goodbye to your residency!"

For a moment or less, Justin was caught off guard looking at the video. He finally realized that Vanessa must have planted CCTV in the storeroom.

" Fuck, Vanessa. You just have to meddle?" A smirk played on Justin's face. He walked toward Vanessa, half-clad but fully clothed in dangerous aura." You wouldn't dare do that, would you?"

Vanessa's heart skipped with fear as she stared at Justin who had murder screaming all over his face. What the hell was he trying to do?

" What–what are you trying to do, Justin?"

She took a step back, her face drained of all colors.

Justin continued moving towards her, his hands stretched to her," Give me your phone. I want that video deleted, Ness."

Vanessa shook her head, the video was her only leverage for revenge. She wasn't going to be so dumb as to delete it. She shook her head, refusing to let him have the phone.

" It seems you want it the hard way, huh?" Justin was just two steps away from her.

Vanessa made to run, but her heel caught the edge of a loose floor tile. She saw Justin reach out. His hand extended toward her. Whether to grab her or the phone, she didn't know.

She stepped back again to avoid him. Her body twisted. Her foot slipped on the tile.

She fell backward. Hard.

Her head struck the metal edge of the supply cabinet behind her. The impact cracked through her skull. Her neck bent at an angle that made a wet, brittle sound.

Vanessa's vision blurred. The hallway tiles. The white ceiling lights. The outline of her own body on the floor. No blood yet—just the dark spread of it beginning to pool beneath her head.

Justin stopped. He stared down at her. His hand still extended. “Fuck. I–I never wanted her to–”

Brooklyn stepped around him. She looked at Vanessa's body. At the head, twisted and limp. At the growing puddle of dark red.

“Well,” Brooklyn said. She bent down and picked up the fallen phone. She opened it and quickly deleted the footage.“That solves that.”

Justin didn't move. His eyes stayed on Vanessa. On her fingers, which had curled once against the tile and now lay still.

“Someone's going to find her,” he said.

“No, they won't. Not tonight. We'll move her.” Brooklyn tucked the phone under her arm. She nudged Vanessa's hand with her toe. The fingers didn't move. “Clean up. I'll get a cart.”

Justin wiped his hands on his pants. He looked at Vanessa's face. Her eyes were open. Unseeing. Mixed with tears and blood.

He turned away. She only have herself to blame. She would have just handed over the phone and she would still be alive.

As Vanessa watched the two people in her last moments, her thought wasn't fear. It was rage. Three years of lies and his betrayal. And when she had approached him to confront him, she had only wanted the truth.

Now her blood spread across the cold tiles. The files lay scattered. The door clicked shut. The hallway went silent.

And the memories of being killed by the one she trusted most, lingered as regret filled the little life left in her. With eyes slowly embracing the death, her words echoed faintly in her heart.

" No more foolishness, Nessa. If ever I get a second chance, I will live for myself and deal with these two scumbags."

And the darkness claimed her.
