Intro
Hey there, I’m Ray. And this is my introduction. I live in Miren, and that pretty much sums up my entire existence. In this too-ordinary town, the most exciting thing that happened was watching Mr Apseid lock himself out of his own house the third time.
From the big dragon on the cover of the book, it’s a Yes! It’s another dragon story! Not a normal dragon story though, if you consider a dragon that chews everything extraordinary. Yes, I have a dragon, Frost. As obvious as it is, Frost is an ice type. He’s smart enough to freeze entire lakes, but not to stop chewing table legs of furniture wherever we go in Miren. Speaking of Miren, if you’ve never heard of this place, I’ll save your efforts of asking me. It’s a fairly ordinary town with fairly ordinary weather. It gets a little warm during summer, but nothing too terrible. A cool breeze is always welcome, though. Finding Frost here in a place like this was about as surprising as finding a fish outside of water.
Anyway, in this ordinary town, right on Merley Street, is the place I call home. My mom always said we were a little short on money, and I also felt that it would be a great adventure, and that’s when I decided to join the guild. (Spoiler alert: it was a bad idea) What’s a guild, you may ask? A guild is a place where dragon owners gather to fight by using the respective gemstones of their dragons to earn money. As for a gemstone, they contain the powers of an elemental dragon. I like to call them Gemmies. Everyone else calls them gemstones. Everyone else is boring. If you have the nerve to ask what a dragon is, I’m charging fees for explaining them.
