THE FAKE ACCIDENT

Chapter 1:

People say blood is thicker than water — but no one ever told you about the bond formed at 2 AM over cold chai, shared deadlines, and borrowed hoodies. Some friendships run deeper than family, deeper than blood, deeper than any tie you were born into. And for seven students at the University of Lahore, that kind of friendship was the only religion they truly believed in.

Their names were woven into each other's stories like threads in the same fabric.

Zara Malik — the quiet storm. She had sharp eyes that noticed everything and a mouth that said very little. Her friends joked that she could read a room the way others read novels — cover to cover, spine and all. She was the one who remembered your coffee order, your mother's name, and the exact date of the argument you had two years ago that you thought everyone forgot.

Ayesha Siddiqui — the loudest laugh in any room. She was warmth in human form, the kind of girl who hugged strangers at parties and meant it. She kept the group together on their worst days with nothing but food and terrible jokes.

Sana Tariq — the planner. Spreadsheets, calendars, colour-coded sticky notes. Nothing in the friend group happened without Sana's approval and a shared Google Doc to go along with it.

Ali tariq— the dreamer. Art student, head always halfway in another world. He painted portraits of the group from memory and once cried at a sunset so beautiful he couldn't finish his chai.

Rayan Ahmed — the clown. Tall, ridiculous, and annoyingly charming. He could make a funeral feel slightly less heavy just by existing in the room.

Bilal Hassan — the responsible one. The designated driver, the one who remembered to pay the bill, the one who checked the weather before a road trip. He was the group's anchor.

And then there was Omar Shafiq.

Omar was the kind of person who made you feel like you were the most interesting human alive when he was talking to you. Dark eyes, a quiet confidence, and a habit of disappearing for hours only to return with an elaborate story about where he had been. He was the mystery of the group — beloved, trusted, but never fully readable. Not even to Zara, who prided herself on reading everyone.

So the summer vacation has started and Omar Shafiq decided to go on a vacation in Murree but he didn't wanted to go alone so he asked from his friend group "can you guys come with me to murree for a trip we all will enjoy alot " everyone told their own excuses however ali tariq agreed to come with Omar Shafiq. They decided to go at night time. But the sadest thing was that their parent were strict and they didn't allow them to go to murree alone. But they decided to go to murree secretly without telling their parents, which was their worst decision. ali told their parents "I am going to Omar's house for studying as he was good at studying and I can learn some concepts from him" while Omar told his parents that I am going to ali's house because he need to understand some concepts and both of their parents agreed. They planned their trip for 5 days,just a small trip.they went at night Omar drove the car.The road felt scary as there was no cars,no lights and the motorway was very old. It was very hard for Omar to drive as he could barely see the road. So he decided to take a break in the middle of the motor way "ali I will be right back I am driving for hours and I am so hungry stay in the car I will find some food from somewhere" ali agreed and waited in the car while Omar went to find food but he took hours ali got a little scared as he could hear some noises.so he decided to call Omar to ask him that when will you come but he he called him he realized that he left his phone in the car now hw got very scared hours passed but their was no news of Omar so ali decided to search for Omar he saw everywhere in the night alone but the roads were becoming even more scarier. He took his phone with him so that he could on the torch but the battery was low so after sometime the phone battery died. He saw bood drops on the road so he got so scared and start making fake stories in his head "may be some one killed omar" " What if he died" " maybe there is a gost that's why there is no one over here I should leave and I will come make tomorow in the day time to search for him" after thinking all the fake stories on his head he left Omar and drove the car he stayed at a 4 star hotel but he could not sleep as he was thinking about Omar the whole time so he decided the tell his friend group when everyone came to know about it they got so worried "how could you left Omar in the motorway alone at night" ayesha said

Everyone was so disappointed with ali. Ali said " I will search for him in the morning. "We will also come in the motor way in the morning with you " zara said

"Yeah we will manage to come to search for our friend: rayan added

In the morning they all gathered in the motorway to find but there were no signs for him so they all decided to call the police

Bilal called the police the police came after sometime and start searching for omar with them there was only blood over near the petrol pump and omar's jacket so almost everyone start assuming that he is died

the police said " I think your friend died you guys should go we will find his deathbody don't worry we will find him alive or death but you guys should go as there is a rumor that there are some gostin this motorway" everyone got scared and left the motorway thinking that omar died. But zara didn't agreed with them she said that "who can we believe that he died without any evidence" but there was blood and omar's jacket in the motor way which is a big prove

"But maybe he is alive maybe he is just injured "

Almost everyone started crying

"I think we should tell Omar's parent the truth that he is not in ali's house they both went to murree for a trip and now he died"sana said.all of them agreedWhen they told there parents they were in shock they started crying but zara said "don't cry maybe he is alive the police is searching for him" but even there parents didn't believed in him they said " how can he be alived all the proves showed that he is death. But zara was determined when no one believed in her she decided to find him by herselfwhn omar's famly and all of his friends believd that he died zara believed that he is not.
