Senior year
It's Monday morning. or otherwise known as; Dylan's first day of senior year.
It is 5:30 when Dylan's bedroom door suddenly opens, revealing his mother: Cassie Woods.
"Dylan Xavier Woods. You don't have that long until it's time for school, get up now." Cassie explained to the still sleeping figure underneath the covers.
"But, mom. It's so warm under here," he stated in a child-like manner. "Do i really have to go to school today ?" He proceeded to question her foolishly.
"Yes, my dear I'm afraid so." She confirms before leaving, leaving him to get dressed for the day.
Dylan got out of bed and walked over to his closet after a few minutes of staring at the clothes hanging up , he finally decided on an outfit for the day.
A simple pair of jeans and a white v-neck t-shirt, he paired that with a pair of white Nikes.
"Good morning, Dylan. How did you sleep?" My mother asked me when she saw me entering the kitchen.
I had sandy blonde hair like my father but my eyes were like my mother's, crystal blue.
Our kitchen and dining room was one big area. The kitchen was painted an eggshell White whereas the dining room: had been painted a bright sunshine yellow.
My mother's idea.
I noticed she had cooked pancakes so I grabbed a plate in the dishwasher and piled a stack onto the plate. After placing my plate onto the table I go to the cabinet to grab a glass, pouring myself some orange juice.
"Jackson should be on his way to get you for school, I'm leaving in an hour for work." My mother explained to me.
"Okay." I confirmed before digging into my stack of pancakes.
10 minutes later we heard the front door open. "Good morning, Mrs Woods. Good morning, Dylan!" Jackson greeted us both, kissing my mother on the cheek before sitting at table with me.
He reached over to my plate and grabbed a piece of pancake before sticking the fork into his mouth, taking a bite.
My mother just smiled at the action while I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
Deciding to just give up, I walked toward the cupboard to get another plate, filling it up with what was left of the pancakes.
I also poured myself another glass of juice.
After that we ate our breakfast in silent.
"Oh, crap! We're going to be late." I exclaimed once I noticed the time on the clock running down the hall back to my bedroom, I grabbed my backpack that was that in the floor by my computer desk before running back to the kitchen.
"Bye, mom! See you tonight." I said as the three of us exit the house together her going to her car, while Jackson and I go to his.
Before we head to school we have to pick up Madison. Madison Garcia, our other best friend. We met her and kindergarten when we were five.
She lives just down the street from us and we all lived twenty minutes from school, so it was an easy commute.
"Hi, guys. Are you ready for our last year of high school?" She asked us in an upbeat tone of voice as she got into the backseat of the car.
Madison had long dark, wavy hair. Big brown eyes, and flawless tan skin.
She was wearing a purple t-shirt with a butterfly on the front of it, paired with a pair of black pants and boots to match.
It only took us a total of twenty minutes until we were parking in the school parking lot. Fairview high or as I like to call it, a teenagers version of hell.
"This is going to be a great year, I just know it!" Madison exclaimed enthusiastically.
