THE WESTCOTT PROJECT: PART THREE OF THE BLUE FLAME TETRALOGY

THE LAND

They’re called the ‘leatherbacks’ .. noted by their husk and insignia distinctly bearing hues ancient-green and dark-brown representative of their longstanding association with the terrestrial terrain.

And now the elite ground organization had inducted Baen 'Ichnaea' Westcott into their ranks.

In equivalence [to earthly realms], Baen Ichnaea Westcott was born on July 4th, 2006.

‘Cause see what you had to understand was that for most of the initiation phase Boone Takach was seen as the front-runner of prospects and cadets noted for his extrasensory (almost bordering on clairvoyant) sensibilities and propensities.’

‘However over time, Baen’s remote apparatus’s and antennas proved to be just as sharp and penetrating an asset (if not even more discerning than the innate tools and sensors that Boone was in possession of) .. and certain circumstances, instances and situations proved this twicefold over the term of this duration.’

LINEAGE

Its also in his lineage, his older sister Keira Westcott was also a participant and his younger sibling Trinity Westcott (a ‘rebel’ purportedly who had defected to become an esperian underling) were also groomed seemingly from genesis to hold rank/have affect within [the hub].

ABOUT THE [META]

- Oh yes we can touch on the metaentheogen briefly, cause in this guise/as of currently due to modern updates in manufacturing processes, the meta was now conveniently consumed in capsule 💊 format.

- Which was a quite significant development actually .. for see what you had to understand was that some orbsters .. some specters, when they consume the [meta] attain certain ‘attributes’ .. or that certain special imbued properties are unlocked potentially.

And that’s what the upper-units look for .. 1. those select orbsters and then 2. to see if their purported transfiguration(s) can be an asset to them at the higher-end of the spectrum potentially.

'For one would have to note however that the leatherbacks don't simply just have access to [the meta] but furthermore they also possess 'advanced husks' or even as noted [over] lord Zeth Entejer stated .. 'the best metallurgist in the business.'

UNLEASHED

‘And the potentialities of Baen when endowed with [the meta] and [the husk] can’t be overstated enough.’

‘Notes gleamed because the overlords had seen what Westcott had been able to accomplish in the undercircuit this past go-around without the advanced machinations and machinery that the top-tier organizations possess.’

- Specifically when he [Westcott] got good is when he was able to catalogue/collate the ‘sequences’ or mosaics and intuitively apply them to situations which were occurring in and throughout [the hub].

A VERY IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION

Oh yes .. and just for clarification purposes .. the official pigmentation of the capsule housing the [meta]entheogen is (steel-blue) and (harbor-grey) officially designated by The Council and [The Hub's] City Commission

SEQUENCE-1

In the first sequence he heard a weeping at the docks nearest the freight containers .. he thought it was an infant at first but then upon further exploration found it to be a small mewling salmon-colored feline ..

'So essentially He was running through the sequences without mecha, armaments .. anything?'

ZETH ENTEJER (while sipping a fermented nectar, laced with stimulants of course): Well that's obviously about to change.

QUINT IMPSTON: Yeah a lot is about to change for the kid!

(Zeth Entejer and Quint Impston are the chief lieutenants of the 'leatherback' outfit.)

- And technically speaking the leatherbacks are a 'lower-end Alias outfit at that.'

* But still a proficient force to be reckoned within [the hub] [specter isle] and the other localized regions/spheres under Alias/Esper(s) spatial jurisdiction.

SEQUENCE-2

Baen's second 'mosaic' or sequence was blurry presenting like what seemed to be some(one)(thing) tinkering with a radio or transmitter of sorts.

Furthermore what they also liked was that during the 15th-circuit Baen Westcott was a member of a semi-faction of sorts who'd assisted ALIAS in investigation of ruins, runes, excavation sites and vaults from The Prussian conflict using his unique form of presentience.

THE THIRD

In the third sequence, while souped up off of [the meta] of course he found a raven-black feline with emerald optics looking to traverse the excavation site .. possibly slightly discombobulated but still navigating the ruins with a certain 'confidence' and degree/disposition of certainty.

OTHERS

- Even though over time Baen's mosaics were found to be the most astute, he wasn't necessarily alone .. for their were others apart of his semi-faction who also assisted him on these side-quests and treks throughout [the hubs] underpinning.

Them being like for instance most notably Garrison Alcantar, Ulla Laux, Ivan Cantos and Felicia Ducote.

And similarly most of these others had been recently integrated into Alias strongholds and upper-ranks/units.

For instance the compass segment of the Alias conglomeration (noted for usage and implementation of gyroscopic rotators for navigating their orbs around the spheres) had integrated Garrison Alcantar into their ranks.

ATEMPORAL

- And the knights [noted for their asymmetric (though still coalescent) and atemporal modes of configuration] had upgraded Ivan Cantos into their ranks.

QUAD

- Oh well the fourth sequence was found to be nothing more than a sign of sorts -

[MISSING SPECTER]

** last noted bearing his orb, thistle-purple **

And then the transmission trails off/fades …

- See cause what it was is that some of their antennas induced mosaics when under the [meta] trance ., others had a more satellite-like effect when under the guise -

The dome of the [freighters] headquarters resembles a pentagram in structure.

MOLTEN

It resembles almost lava-flow in essence .. 'like an emblazoned mandala of sorts' as described by some when overlooking the peak from a skyline-view.

It's stated I think now that the chief 'flamethrower' in charge of the counter-unit at the moment is Finn Alessandro.

'Also hear that he's currently being courted by esperian faction ‘the merchants’ (the notable band of bandits who loots stockpiles and ancient vaults of significance.')

THE SIGNIFICANCE

Notable because He [Westcott's] fifth-sequence revealed what was thought to be a thermal feline [pigment: (redwood and burnt-orange)] trapped on the roof of the headquarters and prancing around almost in a state of frenzy or panic.

Baen was now trying to transmute to his peer in the form of a ticker, currently pointing the peer northwestern now in his navigation.

THE HEX

- Usually predisposed to felines he was, the sixth installment had led him to a seemingly distressed faun in the wooded shrouds of the isles.

And the compensation awarded to Baen and the initiates allowed the semi-faction the ability to fund their own hut to put resources together/counter the freighters and most importantly try and find/trace the source of those transmissions.

JUST IN CASE

And feeling potentially that the situation was getting away from them the souls upper-hands [knights] and [archangels] had apparently reached out {over protected, discreet channels of course) offering their more vast resources and tracking capabilities however the cadet in charge now Rosette Wakeman pushed them away.

ROSETTE: No, no we've got this.

However Dituri and the souls conglomerate did allow the upper-hands to reissue a compensation for retrieval and safe return of the lost specter upping the bounty threefold to its current amount of ¥2331-nodes.

Cause see what you had to understand was that Westcott and the clan trekked the hub via aerial 'scooters' .. [used most notably/recently for their previous retrieval missions of the felines and (a faun)] .. Baen's implement was notably prussian-blue but the others had raven-black gliders.

What was also throwing off Baen and Garrison was trying to decipher if the specter was perhaps 'out of reach' they'd say .. at some liminal point of non-communication and transmission-range, scattered along the coordinate grid.

JAMMING

They'd speculated that Alessandro and the freighters headquarters had some type of satellite jamming capabilities which was preventing other semi-factions from being able to take part in the quest.

777 - AN INTERLUDE

Oh, ok and so the seventh sequence saw our conquerors retrieve a lost - .. ...

Oh ok sorry guys there isn't a seventh sequence, cause see what had happened was that apparently Baen and Garrison had consumed a capsule non-designated/signified by The Council and apparently they are both currently experiencing some psychosomatic side effects at the moment and can't currently produce any mosaics at this point in time .. sorry and stay tuned for future developments!!

THE PLANT

Oh well that's cause {as sources apparently indicate that the freighters could possibly have been behind the incident .. (supposedly one of Finn's underlings though perpetrators have been officially identified at this time) but Baen Jadin is seen as a likely culprit.}

Ivan Cantos and Felicia Ducote are currently in the hut 'deliberating'.

IVAN: Ohhh goddamnit we should have put a tighter security net around them, you know Finn and them weren't gonna let this go over easily.

FELICIA: Yeah they also should have been more careful though in what they were consuming The Council capsules are almost patently designated and packaged .. Also who the heck is Baen Jadin?

THE 'OTHER' BAEN

Oh Baen Jadin is one of Finn Alessandro's chief under-lords/'lings who reportedly has become quite adept at mischief and creating semi bouts of disorder within [the hub] as you can see.

And after approximately 5.5-hours they still weren’t able to effectively produce mosaics at this crucial time which was a bummer but back at headquarters they were analyzing/monitoring the [neural] networks to try to get them back on track though.

THE REASON FOR THE INTERFERENCE

- Oh well that's just because Finn and the freighters consortium have a different tracking algorithm than Baen and his cohorts do .. Finn while formidable can't rely upon mosaics to garner information about [the hub] or what's going on around him instead relying on a semi-sophisticated swarm of antennas and minor satellites operating in orbit .. however this means of transmission can sometimes take longer than other types especially if both sides [the sensor and the agent] are able to communicate (even if the dialogue is veiled or en[coded][crypted]) semi-directly via the use of the [meta]entheogen.

AFTER EIGHT HOURS OF NO CORRESPONDENCE

Baen Westcott is speaking to Garrison in the hut.

BAEN: I hope He's(the specter) not panicking .. in the last mosaic I could transmit I tried to point him northwesterly towards a beacon or (communication) tower.

They had some who communicated through words (like Baen and Garrison were forced to do at this point) .. some through images, sequences .. geometries even ..

AFTER TWELVE-HOURS

GARRISON: Did you notice something now?

BAEN: Yeah .. but it was a blurry transmit .. wasn't much of anything but 'something' I guess.

The base of the satellite Finn Alessandro is using to try and locate the missing specter is square pyramidal.

Ivan Cantos most recent mosaic exposed Baen Jadin as a possible doppelgänger .. the validity of such a premise however remains to be determined.

.. 'in the next installment it was revealed to Ulla Laux that Finn and the freighters cell-organization could if they found the specter abduct him and demand threefold the node-ransom' from The Council ..

- However all of their mosaic sequences weren't 'profound epiphanies however with a most recent example being Felicia Ducote's most recent exploit featuring nothing more than 'flying pink elephants' for instance.

- 'The node' being the official currency/means of barter-exchange of all four spherical jurisdictions [the hub, specter isle and other neighboring/adjacent domains etc.] all rights reserved by The Council.

REVELATION

(Was revealed to Baen Westcott)

- In which the identity of the missing specter's identity was revealed to be that of Kiefer Korner noted member of [the souls] conglomerate/sect and organization -

ZETH ENTEJER: (on the interference debacle) Oh well see that's another thing .. the upper sects have more advanced means and methods to protect the cadets from internal and external acts of communicative sabotage as such .. interference with antennas, satellites.. all of that good stuff.

WESTCOTT: He (Korner) can reach the beacon but its approximately 2.1-miles (3.38-km) northwest of his current location so he does have to trek the terrain alittle bit.

The (communication) tower or beacon will resemble a trapezoidal prism .. about 7 feet 7 (91 inches) in vertical height .. it'll be exuding an Aegean-blue tint alight.

WARNING

Don't know if he has a compass system or not but it'd be in Kiefer's greatest interest to avoid the Nexus lining .. [that 'great wall' of Obsidia which stretches some 4788-km (2975-miles)] .. it's a ray band of swirling lights .. an aurora borealis of sorts (and one of which the esperian and alias higher-ups don't even know definitively what sort of spectrum or phenomena the other side houses purportedly.)

If it gives some comfort the terrain that Kiefer has to trek through is not that 'complicated' topographically (not mountainous, hilly or as currently noted housing any adversarial agencies) however some slight gusts and the fact that he's otherwise 'on his own' apart from some input from Westcott and Alcantar .. though the transmissions are still staticky due to Alessandro's (and company) repeated interference and attempts at sabotage does present its own set of challenges.

ULLA LAUX: (to Ivan Cantos) They had said that Trinity [Westcott's] defection is complete.

IVAN CANTOS: Oh really? They couldn't bring him back to this side huh?

ULLA: No not from what I gathered.

IVAN: How do you know?

ULLA: They had videographic indicia showing him being lead into the magma ruins purportedly.

IVAN CANTOS: And Ceridwen Greaves is officially a 'rising flame'

** - rising flames are simply are young, new members/initiates of the heralded P.H.O.E.N.I.X department/initiative - **

They said surprisingly enough that Ulla Laux would end up defecting herself. (She'd decided to join an esperian subfaction doing some vital work apparently .. 'a clergy of mediums' of sorts or something along those lines.)

Of course losing their top specter/cadet [Korner] for the whole circuit was a tough blow to the prestigious souls conglomerate but we have to give credit to Rosette Wakeman who did an excellent job running headquarters and operations in the wake of his absence.

The felines (and faun) that Baen and the others rescued had to go through the Nutrition, Livestock and Maintenance Department for further verification-tagging, medical treatment (if needed) before being shipped to a farm or shelters (for the felines) who would care for and tend to them until adoption.

EXHIBITIONIST

You had an esperian offshoot of young delinquents who took apart the aerial scooters and then lit the scraps on fire and were able to manipulate the parts and pieces while airborne .. some of them were even good .. it was quite impressive when witnessing a virtuoso perform the feat.

The only caveat of the situation however though is that the beacon would be considered a spatial landmark that others could potentially acknowledge, know of or get/intercept signals from.

- See what you had to understand here was that Specter Isle and 'The Burrow' to a lesser extent provided Obsidia and The Hub with chief agricultural products, crops and livestock yields.-

The products cultivated and distributed at The Burrow were considered to be of a more exotic, fermented property of course.

IVAN CANTOS: Only ¥2331-nodes to ensure his safe return? Don't you think that figure is a bit low?

FELICIA DUCOTE: Yeah but the amount is rather 'arbitrary' anyway as a specter of Korner's caliber is rather unquantifiable anyway I even suspect the higher-up [sects] are in on it just watching them (Westcott, Alessandro and the lot) to see how they handle it, ready to step in to prevent any serious harm from occurring.

Most of them (Korner included) commanded much higher compensation on the market anyway once they signed on with official sanctioned unit-members (of an alias or esperian faction) during that lull-period negotiations.

And while it's a fact of life you do kinda feel bad for the cadets sometimes who don't get picked up by the higher-ups as it usually propels them into a cycle of near-exile and the outskirts aren't necessarily dangerous but still demanding and uncertain circumstances .. …

THE SHROUDS

Furthermore in the depths of specter isle (purportedly the shrouds, woods and forestry) apparently the upper-sects like to task/commission cadets and initiates (in orbs and aerial scooters notably bearing pigmentations space-blue and teal) with rudimentary safeguarding and upkeep of the property.

EXHIBITIONIST-2

- However don't get it confused and I'd be remissed to not state it .. as these flame-throwing exhibitionist do not do it all for show .. they use their fire-rings to both a) attack other sects and b) defend their properties and assets (headquarters and huts)

- And actually the somewhat intricate plots of openings, 'in and outs' that The Burrows house actually serves as a microcosm of sorts to the major-class glass portal mirror-ring system which the engravers implement as a sort of transportation hub/network around the spheres -

Flynn Dituri had assisted [Baen] Westcott and [Garrison] Alcantar in the search for his peer however Dituri didn't use mosaic-like communication instead actually controlling a semi-autonomous transfiguring agent on the physical surface (when in specter form bearing a thistle coating and when an orb metamorphosing to an eggplant pigmentation) which traversed the nexus bleak, desolate landscape while Dituri tried to keep it clear of any potential other beings who might be roaming the landscape for whatever reasons.

See the hub has as a result of the nefarious magma sect operation a massive heated convection-core of glass and tourmaline underpinning which would allow (if rightly equipped) Korner the ability to 'magnetize the field' and induce an actual, physical compass-like effect on land if the lad was suchly adept enough to configure and implement such a device/machination or apparatus.

They even have beachy resort like hut amalgamations set up along the coast of the isle.

AND WHAT OF BAEN JADIN

- Well (and as these are merely accusations take them with a grain of salt) allegedly the doppelgänger apparently took a 'dirty cap(sule)' and as a result experienced some quite unpleasant psychomatic and neurological after-effects over an 86-hour span including shock, spasms and a bout of insomnia.

Apparently Finn Alessandro had consulted with Ziven Greaves and Monte Bentzen.

AND WHAT OF BAEN JADIN 2

Well after the shock period subsided a series of hauntings and perilous flashbacks fell upon [Baen] Jadin .. Jadin attributed it simply to 'a prolonged bad trip .. (the result of negative after-effects) and alittle bit of bad karmic residue as well but his younger brother also a noted initiate [Adric] Jadin suspected that external influences could have been at play.

Of the defections the switch of Orion Mattix was the most affecting and surprising.

GARRISON ALCANTAR: (reflecting on the transition) It actually shouldn't be that surprising a flip-up I feel, as the metamorphing octopus-like agent is ‘ever-shifting’ is he not?

THE HEED

FENRIS FOXWELL: There was slight stratospheric disturbance .. a hailstorm of sorts near the tower which Korner would apparently have to wade through so be mindful if that or some resembling abstraction presents itself in a mosaic for instance.

Apparently Monte Bentzen and Ziven Greaves command a convoy of antagonistic semi-autonomous orb implants (metallic coatings bearing notable pigments trombone-gold and iron-grey) which might be patrolling near the nexus-lining as well.

KAMIKAZE

- the surge of these semi-autonomous specters has given the higher-ups slight concern over intent and capabilities -

ABOUT KIEFER KORNER

- Ok let’s talk about it .. let’s talk about how Kiefer Korner got himself into this predicament in the first place .. you see the investigative, curious specter is a ‘prober’ (that’s how he makes his living, roaming into excavation sites, crypts, vaults, chambers etc. and gathering data which he then trades usually on back-markets to bidders of his choice and not necessarily even the highest bidder all the time) well now it seemed that his inquisitive nature brought him a little too far out this particular time as you can see and so a myriad of subsects had to combine their efforts to try and track him down (and as aforementioned) this coming without assistance from The Council or Alias higher-up sects (who have more sophisticated means, channels, methods and modes of operation for such undertakings).

SEVENTH HEAVEN

- And (finally) the seventh transmission for our dear fellow Baen Westcott was a muddled spit wherein upon growing hailstorms and gale in the far off land we saw in the end what could have appeared to be an aegean-blue flicker exuding from the beam .. ... -

FINN ALESSANDRO: (addressing his men, telling them to) Pull back.

- Well it turns out that the stratospheric dissonance was enough to dissuade Alessandro and his mates from any further pursuit -

BOONE TAKACH: (speaking to Baen and Garrison) It's already been installed it's a mini-mandala of sorts in appearance but actually it's a glyph .. it'll be located at the towers apex which whereupon accessing should terraport the fellow back into civilization/sanctioned-grounds hopefully .. .. ..

EPILOGUE

Zeth Entejer and Quint Impston are somewhere in the clouds (or so we believe) supposedly monitoring the situation wherein Zeth exclaims.

ZETH: (in between smokes .. puffs from his cigar) Good job lads and lass, good work .. job well done (this with his peer Quint nodding in approval) .. .. ..
