THE IDEAL

Enjin and the rest of the cleaners Riyo, Rudo, Zanka, Gris, Follo and Tomme went out for a bite— They decided to have a celebration for their successful mission because why not.

"So where are we heading to..." Riyo questioned "... We've been walking for a while and it doesn't seem like we are heading to our usual place". Enjin glanced at her then put two fingers on his chin "Hmm, I really don't wanna go there... At least not today, hmm". He stops walking and the rest also.

Follo speaks up from the back "oh I know a place, it got opened recently but there has been an undying hype about it lately... Never been there before I don't really know—" raise a finger "...But I'm sure it's nice". Enjin nods "okay let's try there— lead the way, I'm starving", They started walking.

When they finally arrived not many vehicles parked outside, Zanka looked at the sign on the top left beside the door "Hearth & brew. Cute. Are you sure this is the place, Follo?"

Enjin looks around "not as flashy as you said they said it would be but it's not crowded so it still counts as somethin', I guess". Riyo steps forward— hands on the door knob "It won't be that bad and besides we came here for food not for the looks", she pushed the door open.

The place was actually not what any of them thought it would look like, chairs arranged in the right place, neat and tidy, plus the unmistakable aroma of the food was definitely something one would want to try. They walked in then chose seats, Follo, Gris and Tomme sat at a different table right next to them. A male waiter came over to Gris's table, Enjin took a glance at them then at the table— tapping his finger on the table "Where is the waiter, We've been waiting—".

"Welcome to hearth & brew, sorry for the delay, sir", He looked up to see you— staring down at him, he went quiet just staring. "Sir... You need to look at the menu booklet..." you tapped the booklet "...to know what you wanna order". He looks at the booklet then at you, why is he feeling like this? Hungry? Definitely no. Picks up the booklet opens it then hands it to Riyo "Y'all choose first", She takes it and shows the others— "So... What's your meal here that you would recommend?" He turns to look at you— changing his sitting. "Uh, I mean all the foods here are nice, I'd recommend any of em'" You started out.

"Is that so?, you don't have favourites?"

"Even if I did, I wouldn't want that to bother you and your choice."

He nods then turns his glance to Riyo "Y'all are done?". She hands over the booklet back to him, "yeah, Zanka and Rudo are gonna have this and that and I'll have that" says as she pointed at the name. Enjin takes the booklet "Alright then I'll have what Zanka's having", his eye darts at you "yeah?"

"Alright, I'll be back with your order" you give a smile then walks out. Riyo raised a brow with a smirk "Enjin, you know her?" "Nope, I've never seen her in my life..." he stared at the door you walked through "...never".

A few minutes later you came back with what they ordered and placed them on their table— each meal to what each member ordered, "Enjoy your meal", Enjin nods "bet it will surely taste good since it came from you, right?". You just smiled then walks off and damn if that didn't affect him in some way.

Enjin and the others finished their meal and sat there for a while. "That didn't taste bad at all, can't say I'm surprised... I mean look at this place" Riyo stated out— "Let's head back."

The cleaners went back to their base— some heeded to the common room while some went to their room— including Enjin...

He lay on the bed, arms under his head— staring at the ceiling, "What's with me, it's just a person... I see them everyday" A beat. "...But there's something about her"— The way you walk, the way you talk, the way your hair moves when you make a move, that goddamn smile, fuck even your eyes— "She's just so perfect" He sits upright, "I'm gonna back there, if I don't feel the same then it's just because she's pretty, hopefully this nagging feeling fades off." He was being serious, right?.

The next day, he was free so he decided to go early maybe he could see you before you started. When he arrived there he just stood in first of the door— standing. then click, he opened the door. The familiar scent hits him, he steps in then runs his hand through his hair and chooses a seat— staring at the table— Waiting. Minutes later, not a single trail of you... Where were you?— a waiter was passing by then enjin stopped him, "A moment?" The waiter nodded "... I'm looking for someone, average height, female..." The waiter raised a brow "apparently all our female waitresses here are average height, are there any problems— complaints?" He shakes his head, the waiter continues "Perhaps, is it someone you saw yesterday?" Enjin nods "yeah, she had this little badge thing stating..." He thinks "... 5, right that it." The waiter's eyes widened in realisation "Oh, number 5, she just ended her shift, she'll be heading home today" Enjin nodded "Okay, thanks..." The waiter nods and walks off.

"That means, she's still here" A beat. "Dude, I'm acting like a stalker... So not cool, man. Even if she comes out will I say 'Hi, I saw you yesterday and I want to know more about you' that's just stupid, ughhh mannn." He stands up ready to leave then that familiar voice called to him "Sir" He turns around to see you standing in a casual outfit... That it shouldn't make you this attractive "Me?" He asked, You nodded walking to him "My colleague told me you wanted to see me?" A beat. "I mean that's what he was yapping about." Sassy. He looks down at you— the height difference was very visible. Cute. "Let's go outside, yeah?" He mentioned, you nodded. You both walked out, side by side. Now outside, "So where ya heading?" He rested on his car driver's door, "Home... I mean my house... not so far from here" "Mind if I offer you a ride?" Enjin added, "uhh... No no... I can walk no need to waste your time" "I insist, really". You stared at the car then at him, he looked sincere, right? "I-" he cuts you off "I'm not gonna kidnap ya or anything" you sigh then look up at him "sure". He pushes off the car then walks around to the passenger door and opens it then glances at you, You entered— he did too.

He starts the car— the engine roaring to life, "So what's your name?" He questioned not looking at you, eyes on the road. "[Name]", Damn if that didn't make you more interesting, "Beautiful name" "Thank you, and you? What's your name?" You looked at him, "Name's Enjin" he replied. "Enjin... Okay, so why were you—" you got cut off by the sudden drifting— the fuck?, you swear you almost hit a wall— you stared at him, shocked? Fuck yeah because what the hell was that? "My fault, my bad" but he doesn't slow down, you nod then stares at the road "Well— that was a close one" "Really was, was it?" A beat. "Lead the way [name]."

You directed— not to your house just a few houses close to it. "Thank you so much, I owe you one" "don't bother, so you'll resume your shift— tomorrow?" He questioned "No, the day after tomorrow…" you raised two fingers "…Two days", He hummed "Okay then, see ya later" you nodded then started walking "Thanks again."

Enjin stared longer than he intended to, "Perfect" — he started the engine— "Well meet again, [Name]." A beat "she smells so good too" he grins "I must meet you again, [Name]."
