Chapter 13: Zain Offer Prayer
Maida is in danger. Zain Shah was going crazy thinking about it. Shayan Shah said to Zain Shah, "Control yourself. Men don't cry." Zain Shah was not in his senses.
Shayan Shah: "Does a man not have a heart? Don't they feel pain? Do men have no feelings? Does it not affect them? They also have a limit to their patience. This world says you are a man, crying does not suit you. Why? Why, Shayan Shah? A woman cries and washes away the grief of her heart with tears, but a man cannot cry because a man is strong. Why?"
Zain Shah said to Shayan Shah, "Shayan Shah, patience does not come with every hardship. Not every loss is one you can be patient with."
Everyone felt Zain Shah's words deep in their hearts. Right then, a nurse ran out of the ICU. "The doctor says the patient can't breathe and her pulse rate is dropping." Everyone's breath got stuck.
"What happened to my Maida?" Zain Shah ran towards the doctor. "Look, just pray," were the only words the doctor could manage. The doctor walked towards the ICU.
Zain Shah turned his steps towards the hospital corridor, walked out of the hospital, and headed to the nearby mosque. Zain Shah entered the mosque, performed ablution, and made the intention for prayer. Zain Shah was praying. After 10 years, he was praying. That man was in prostration. By God, what a beautiful sight. Tears kept flowing from his eyes. After praying, he raised his hands for dua.
"Oh my Allah, oh my Lord, I know I am very far from You. I am very far from Your obedience. I am a sinner. I am a wrongdoer. My Allah, forgive me. Ya Allah, Maida Shah is my life. Maida Shah is the guarantee of my every breath. Ya Allah, make my Maida well. (Seeing a man in prostration is a beautiful sight.) Ya Allah, put the seal of 'Kun' on my prayers. My Allah, make her my destiny."
That man was crying out loud. Syed Zain Shah, in the mosque, before his Lord, with eyes wet with tears, was asking for his Maida Shah. When a man loves, he loves madly. There is no end to his love.Whenever a man wrote about a woman's character, he only wrote her as a half-character. But when a woman picked up the pen, she wrote a man as dignified, gracious, and a protector of women.
