Synopsis

The Vane Dynasty: First Curse of the Frozen Heart

Synopsis

For fifty years, King Alaric Vane has ruled the Kingdom of Vane as the “Tyrant”—a man feared, isolated, and hollow. Cursed by the “Lineage Fever” after a past act of devastating betrayal that led to the death of his own son and his son’s lover, Alaric’s blood has turned to ice, leaving him incapable of feeling warmth, love, or empathy.

Driven by a desperate, mechanical obsession to produce an heir and break the curse, the King subjects himself to endless, empty unions with noblewomen and witches, only to find the “winter” within him growing colder. The cycle of despair seems inescapable until the arrival of Ren, a man born of the rare, life-giving Valkari bloodline.

Ren becomes the unexpected “Anchor” to the King’s frozen soul. As their bond deepens, the King begins to thaw, rediscovering his humanity. However, this transformation threatens the power of Queen Elara, who orchestrates a brutal conspiracy to destroy them both. After a harrowing betrayal and a near-fatal poisoning attempt at a royal gala, Ren makes the ultimate sacrifice: he absorbs the King’s curse and poison into his own body to save his lover.

Following the collapse of the conspiracy and the exile of the Queen, a miracle unfolds: Ren, a man, conceives a child—the reincarnation of Alaric’s lost son, Julian. With the bloodline redeemed and the curse broken by love rather than iron, Alaric and Ren establish a new legacy. They codify the “Valkari Anchor” as a sacred tradition for all future Vane heirs, ensuring that the cold of the past will never again consume the heart of a King

Shawna: I really enjoying reading this book, I read it twice back to back just in case I missed something lol. Mira & Devryan are actually perfectly fit one another, even when they tried to deny it. You could tell that he wanted her, human or mystic, he was just scared to admit it to himself. She was scared...

Walker of the Dark: Short but definitely intense and amazing. Rage and Aspen were amazing together and I am glad to see a woman who is strong, determined on what she wants and well connected as a bonus. Also enjoyed seeing how even the Mafias is not all "stable" and how a bad bean can spread like wildfire if not contro...
