Seafell Dreams

The setting Sun shines in my eyes as I search for solid land from the Krow's nest. Allen, my first mate, calls up to me from the deck. "Any land yet captain?"

"Nothing yet, Al!" I shout down, grinning. Allen is basically my best friend, and I know he'll be cracking jokes later if I don't find some land soon.

As I begin to climb down, a flash of Green catches my eye. I with my head up, and spot a huge island to our left.

It looks uninhabited.

"Al! There's a huge island to our left!" Allen glances that way then starts directing the crew to turn the ship in the island's direction.

I jumped down, running to the bow, leaning over the railing as I watch us get closer and closer.

We could have our own island! Or a home base more like.

We hit the sand with a jerk, and I jump off the ship, the sound of the crew leaping off with me all around. Shouts of laughter and victory echoing through the air.

I look towards the jungle, already buzzing with excitement at what we could find. I turned around and yelled to get the crew's attention. Everyone grows still, looking at me expectantly. The anticipation in the air is palpable, everyone excited at the prospect of a completely undiscovered Island.

"All right crew! I need Allen, Rosa, Emma, and Mark to come with me to search the island. The rest of you, stay on the ship or the beach. We'll be back shortly!"

Hopefully.

My chosen crew gathers around me, and we turn as one walking off into the jungle.
