I asked the angels why

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Some battles are never fought with swords. This poem lives in the quiet space between angels who stayed silent and demons who never left—a place where faith, pain, and loneliness collide. It is a journey through unanswered prayers, inner darkness, and the desperate hope that love might still be stronger than both Heaven and Hell. A dark poetic reflection from 053SADBOY for anyone who has ever felt caught between who they were, who they’re becoming, and who the world believes they are.

I asked the angels why

I asked the angels why

they watched me drown

without ever touching the water.

They lowered their heads

and called it fate.

I asked the demons

why they never left my side.

They smiled and said,

“Because pain never abandons its own.”

So I became the space

between Heaven’s silence

and Hell’s laughter.

Every prayer I whispered

returned with no answer.

Every sin I carried

remembered my name.

The angels feared

what I might become.

The demons loved

what the world had made of me.

Neither understood

that I never wanted wings.

I never wanted horns.

I only wanted someone

to choose me

before the darkness did.

Now I wear a smile

that neither Heaven nor Hell can read.

The angels still wait for me to change.

The demons still wait for me to fall.

And I…

I am still waiting

for someone to prove

that love is stronger

than both.

How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
