The midnight scream

"10 years ago......."

** the night was unusually quite.

Everyone in the house was fast asleep... Untill na-ri eyes slowly Opened.👀

She set up in bed, her breathing heavy, as if something had disturbed her sleep.

The room felt strangely cold.🥶

After looking around for few second, she got out of bed and quietly walked downstairs to get a glass of water.🥛

The moment she stepped into the kitchen, a sharp pain shot through her head.

"She froze."

'Another wave of pain spread through her legs, making it difficult to stand. her vision blurred.'

"Then,

A blood curdling scream echoed through the house.

Without warning, na-ri begins smashing her head against the wall again and again.🧱

The terrifying sound woke her family. Who rushed downstairs in panic. They stood frozen in the honor.

"Na-ri....!"🗣️

'They tried to move closer, but she suddenly grabbed a kitchen knife and pointed it at them.'

"Don't come any closer..."

Slowly, she turned the knife towards herself and began stebbing her own leg.🔪🔪

Blood stained the floor.

"I....don't want to live anymore..." She whispers.

'Then she violently slams her head against the wall again.'

Her family finally manages to restrain her, and, takes to her female shaman, who lives nearby.

As they plead with the shaman to save na-ri, the women's face is never shown. The only thing visible is her calm voice,💂🏻‍♀️ As she begins performing a strange and unsettling ritual.

After na-ri's family leaves, the room falls silent.

"In a shadowy corner beside the shaman lies a small doll."🪆🪆

"Dozens of nails have been hammered into its head, while tiny cuts cover both of its legs...."

It doesn't look like an ordinary doll

As soon as se-rah, opens her eyes, she starts getting ready to go to school. Then, stuffing a sandvich into her mouth,🥪🥪. she makes a call, and while eating a sandvich, she connects to a group call to talk to her friends." 🤳🏻🤳🏻

"Then, everyone reaches school. Just as they all enter the school. Gu-won intentionally bumps into se-rah, winks at her secretly, and goes inside."

Then se-rah's friend semi asked her if she still hasn't found out anything about her father???

to which se-rah replies no.

jong-gu comes from behind,and pushes them, and asks what they are talking about.🗣️

Just Then, sang-ung walked up from behind, jong-gu grabbed his arms, pulled him closer, and asked him with grin,

" So what's the plan for today, bro."

Then everyone reaches the class, and se-rah sits in her seat.

Just then, gu-won comes and says to ser-rah,

" I want to sit with you, do you have any problem?"

At that moment, everyone starts looking at se-rah and gu-won.👀 And then semi starts teasing se-rah by making gesture.

Meanwhile, sang-ung look at se-rah and gu-won. But that moment ser-rah suddenly looked back at him, sang-ung quickly turned his face away.

Later, se-rah and gu-won were sitting together.

Se-rah turned to gu-won and questioned him,

" Why did you do that,? Now everyone will find out that we are together!"👫🙎🏻

Gu-won replies nonchalanlenty, " yeah, we are together, and that's exactly what I want to tell everyone.

"The thing is... I'm just way too handsome ✨ a hot face is practically locked in every girl's eyes."😏

"Some girls ask me out on dates, and honestly, I'm totally exhausted from turning them down all the time!"😩

Later, when it was a break time, se-rah, gu-won, semi, jong-gu were sitting together.

While sang-ung set all by himself.

Just then, jong-gu turned to gu-won and said, " how long are you to going to keep sitting there, dragging out the exact same argument? 🤦🏻

" god knows when you two finally make up!🙏🏻

Hearing this, gu-won snap back in annoyance, " oh please! And how long have the rest of you been stuck on this exact same topic, huh?"😤

With that, gu-won turns around and Storms off. Sang-ung watches him walk away, then turns to the rest of the group,

"Why do you guys keep asking him the same question over and over?

I honestly don't think he and I will ever sort things out, so just stop trying."

Trying to change the subject, sang-ung asks, "anyway is anyone up for lunch? 🍱

Semi and jong-gu immediately shout back in unison, " heck yes! count me in!🙋🏻

Sang-ung gives a quick note to se-rah and walk away.

Meanwhile, se-rah head straight over to where gu-won is pouting. She sigh catching up to him, " seriously?

"Do you have to throw a tantrum over every single little thing? You are such a baby."🐥 🍼

She shakes her head and change her tune, alright whatever let's drop it.

"And tell me this, " she challenged, a mocking edge to her voice....

You love showing off in front of the class, don't you? "

Slowly se-rah began to close the distance between them, stepping directly into gu-won's space.

She looked up at him, her eyes locking into his.

" Prove it then. Kiss me. Kiss me right here, 💋😚 and I'll believe you actually have the guts to tell everyone about us."

'Se-rah and gu-won having fun together. Then sar-ang arrives.'

She sees se-rah and gu-won having fun together. She walks up to gu-won and says,

" hii! It's been a such a long time since we last met . How have been gu-won."

Just as gu-won was about to reply to sar-ang, se-rah shot him a sharp, piercing glare, 👀 catching se-rah's eyes, gu-won kept his gaze fixed on her and offered sar-ang nothing more then brief, clipped "hii."

Then se-rah chimes in, " oh, yes, absolutely it's been long time. By the way, where have you been all this time?"

"Sar-ang simply nods in response to se-rah."

She then turns to gu-won if he is also going to the camping trip🏕️🏕️ se-rah quickly interrupts and answers on his behalf, saying,

"yes, both of us are coming too!"

As sar-ang walked away se-rah shot gu-won and annoyed look, waved goodbye, and turned to leave.👋🏻👋🏻

Before she could take another step, gu-won gently grabbed her wrist with a playful smile.😉

" Leaving already?

" I thought you wanted a kiss, 😚" he teased, aren't you going to take it?"

Se-rah glanced at his hand before pulling her wrist free.

"You can keep it to yourself."she replied coldly, then walked away without looking back.

Gu-won could only smile as he watched her leave.

The next day all the students from the class, along with se-rah and everyone else arrive at the camping site in the jungle.🏕️🏕️

After setting up their camps, they all gether in one spot and sit down to play a game.

"As night slowly began to fall..."

Suddenly, one of them says, "hey guys, can you hear those birds?" 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛

"Then, one of them smirked and said in chilling tone."

"Yeah, it's nothing. They are just the servants of the spirit. The one that guards this jungle once night falls."

" Meanwhile, gu-won discreetly gestured for se-rah to come with him.

Se-rah shook her head slightly and whispered,

"not now, everyone will notice if we disappear together."

Gu-won leaned closer with a playful smile.😏

" Then come quietly... Or I'll call you out in front of everyone."

Then se-rah rolled her eyes and says,

" Fine... wait. I'm coming. "

Gu-won and se-rah quietly walked away from the rest of the students. A short distance from the campsite, gu-won head prepared a small surprise.

* Moment se-rah sow it, her eyes winderd in disbelief.

She looked at him with a teasing smile and said,

"Wait.... When did you do all this? And how? You can't even do a simple things so properly, so how did you manage this?"

Gu-won stared at her with an offended expression before letting out a dramatic sigh.

" Seriously? Instead of encouraging your boyfriend, you are making fun of him? You should be praising me so I can keep surprising you like this.... But look at you."

Pretending to be heartbroken, he turned his back to her. Realising she has gone to far, se-rah smiled softly and walked over him from behind . She hugged him tightly.🫂

"I'm sorry," she whispered. "I won't tease you like that anymore. Please.....keep doing things like this for me."

A smile slowly appeared on gu-won's face.

After a brief silence, se-rah looked at him curiously.

*Before she could react, gu-won suddenly turned around, gently took se-rah's hand,

Wrapped his another arm around her waist, and pulled her close. Locking eyes with her,👀 he held her gaze without saying a word.

"What do you think will happen next?"
