Sera immediately feels like someone you want to understand more, especially with the complicated relationship to her mother and the life she’s trying to leave behind. I also loved the mix of vampire politics, mystery and the university setting. It has that slow feeling of something dangerous building underneath everything, and I’m curious to see where it goes."
