The Watchers' Fall
The Watchers’ Fall
Verse 1
From pristine skies the bright ones came
With beautiful wings and hidden shame
They shed their light for mortal clay
And threw their heavenly thrones away
They took the daughters of mortal men
To build an empire that would end
They brought secrets, dark and deep
Forbidden knowledge humans shouldn't keep
Chorus
They ignored the warning,
They chose the night,
They penned their doom
In the stolen light.
Now the bonds snap,
The heavens crack,
No throne survives,
No empire back.
Verse 2
To the line of Cain, rogue Loki turned
Where ancient envy deeply burned
In Angrboda’s blood, the shadow slept
The cosmic debt that must be kept
From that dark womb, the backfire grew
The very doom the Watchers drew
God warned the rebels of the trap they made
But they mocked the light, by dark betrayed
Chorus
They ignored the warning,
They chose the night,
They penned their doom
In the stolen light.
Now the serpent thrashes,
The kingdoms fade,
For their own creation
Must be repaid.
Bridge
(The Building of the Ark & The Tears of Heaven)
While Watchers feasted, gopher wood was laid
A silent vessel in the shadows made
The righteous family boarded from the shore
As heaven's teardrops started down to pour
The beautiful wings were shattered into ash
Beneath the lightning and the thunder’s crash
Verse 3
Mighty Thor stood tall and brave
To fight the serpent on the wave
But raw Nephilim strength could not delay
The crushing weight of Judgment Day
Thrusted down to the burning core
With beautiful wings they wear no more
Beside his kin, he waits in chains
While over the deep, Noah's Ark remains
Chorus
They ignored the warning,
They chose the night,
They penned their doom
In the stolen light.
Bound in the earth, the rebels cry
In the black prison where empires die
While daughter Hel keeps silent watch
Counting every scar and every notch
Verse 4
(The Sealing of the Abyss)
The Maker spoke, the iron gates slammed shut
The silver cords of false divinity cut
No spell of Odin, no deceptive art
Could tear the bars of Tartarus apart
The oceans settled o'er their hidden grave
Leaving a blank world for the pure to save
Outro
When the veil drops
The back will bleed
The silver scars
Long decreed
They wait in darkness, trapped below
Until Christ returns to strike the blow
For true judgment was never meant to bend
The rebels were never free.
