Chapter 1 The Forgotten Classroom

A girl stood alone in a classroom swallowed by darkness.

The silence was so deep that even the sound of her own breathing felt out of place.

Moonlight slipped through the cracked windows, casting pale silver lines across the dusty floor. Cobwebs hung from the corners of the ceiling, untouched for years, while old wooden desks stood exactly where they had been left—as though time itself had abandoned this place.

It looked like no one had entered the classroom in years.

The girl, dressed in a blue school uniform, stood frozen near the doorway.

Fear was written all over her face.

Her trembling fingers tightened around the edge of her skirt as she forced herself to take one slow step forward...

Then another.

Her footsteps were so light they barely disturbed the thick layer of dust beneath her shoes.

The room felt strangely alive.

As if countless unseen eyes were watching her every move.

A cold breeze drifted through the broken window, brushing against her skin.

She shivered.

Not from the cold...

But from the unsettling feeling growing inside her chest.

Her gaze slowly lifted toward the wall ahead.

A single framed photograph hung there.

Inside it was a boy wearing the same school uniform as hers.

He looked no older than a student.

Strikingly handsome.

Almost unreal.

His dark eyes seemed unnaturally lifelike.

The longer she looked...

The more it felt as though those eyes were staring back at her.

Her heartbeat quickened.

It's only a photograph...

She tried to convince herself.

Yet her feet refused to move.

She remained standing there, completely captivated by the image.

The world around her slowly faded away.

The silence.

The darkness.

Even her own breathing.

Everything disappeared except those mysterious eyes.

Then—

Crash!

Something heavy hit the floor somewhere inside the classroom.

The sharp sound shattered the silence like broken glass.

She gasped and spun toward the noise, her heart pounding violently against her ribs.

Nothing.

Only darkness.

Her breathing became uneven.

A strange uneasiness crept through her body.

Slowly...

Almost against her own will...

She turned back toward the photograph.

Her blood ran cold.

The frame on the wall was empty.

The boy was gone.

Her eyes widened in horror.

Before she could even process what she was seeing—

Someone was standing directly in front of her.

The same boy.

His face was calm.

Unreadable.

His presence felt strangely quiet...

Yet terrifying enough to steal the air from her lungs.

She couldn't move.

Couldn't scream.

Couldn't even breathe properly.

The room around her began to blur.

Her vision spun.

Her head grew unbearably light.

She instinctively shut her eyes.

Still...

She could hear him.

One step.

Then another.

Each footstep echoed through the empty classroom.

Closer.

Closer.

Her heartbeat became painfully loud.

It was the only sound she could hear now.

Her knees finally gave way.

The darkness rushed toward her.

And everything disappeared.
