The morning sun shone through the curtains of the Nelson family's living room. Kelvin sat comfortably with his parents, excitement written all over his face. His class was planning a trip to the zoological garden the following week, and he couldn't wait to tell them.

"Daddy!" Kelvin called eagerly.

Mr. Nelson looked up from the newspaper in his hands and smiled.

"Do you remember the school trip I told you about last term?"

"Next week already?"

"Yes, Mum," Kelvin answered with a grin. "I need to buy some things I'll be taking along."

"Alright. How much do you think you'll need?"

Kelvin scratched the back of his head before replying.

"Hmm... I think ₦100,000 should be enough."

Mr. Nelson smiled.

"And what about your pocket money?"

Kelvin laughed softly.

"Maybe another ₦150,000."

"Alright," Mr. Nelson said warmly. "I'll transfer the money to your account."

Kelvin's face lit up with excitement.

"Thank you so much, Daddy! I love you."

Mrs. Nelson folded her arms playfully and pretended to be jealous.

"So... you don't love me anymore?"

Kelvin laughed and walked over to hug her.

"Of course I love you too, Mum."

"Look at you two."

Mrs. Nelson smiled mischievously.

"Leave us alone. I'll also send Kelvin another ₦100,000."

She laughed before turning to her husband.

"What would you like to eat?"

"Anything is fine," Mr. Nelson replied.

"Dad, I'm going to see my friends. I'll be back shortly."

"Alright," Mr. Nelson replied. "Just don't be late."

"I won't," Kelvin promised before leaving the house.

"Sweetheart!"

"Yes, I'm coming!" Mrs. Nelson answered from the kitchen.

"Hurry up."

"I'm almost done," she replied.

"Okay. Come and see me when you're finished."
