Chapter 1

Lily was a 18-year-old who was marrying her high school sweetheart when she turned 18. Her family already approved of Corey because his family was wealthy, but Lily loved him for who he was. Not his money. Lily used to work at a diner full time and was even up for a promotion until Corey told her to stop working after they got engaged, because he wanted to take care of her. She soon realized love doesn't always hold someone to you. Wearing a blazer set with a pencil skirt and knee high boots. Lily felt her heart get stepped on.

"What the hell!?" Lily screamed standing in the door of her home that Corey had bought them. The scene she had walked in on was Corey balls deep inside a woman. Corey turned quickly seeing a shocked Lily standing there who was getting angry by the second. He pushed off the women stammering "Your home early" he said as Lily rolled her eyes walking up to their room, on passing she turned to see who the woman was. It was her younger sister who had a smirk on her face. Lily's younger sister Abby got her mother's looks, which was skinny as a twig with flawless skin. Lily was curvy with red hair and freckles. As Lily walked to their room that was around the corner, she started to grab her bags and pack "Lil, let me explain" Corey said pleading "Okay go ahead" She finally said throwing in her last piece of clothing that would fit. "Uhhh" is all Corey said not expecting her to allow him to explain. Lily zipped the bags and began walking to the door "Where are you going to go. You have no one. Just stay and listen to me" Corey begged "I will be just fine without you." She said moving one bag to the other arm as she used her teeth to get the engagement ring off. she spit it at him once she did "We are done" she said going out the door to her car and getting in throwing her bags she had in the passenger seat. She headed towards the diner she once worked at

"Hey Ms. Letty. Please tell me you are hiring" Lily said sweetly the older women frowned "Sadly, no. I thought you..." the older women trailed off seeing the missing ring. "I can find a spot for you. I am so sorry sweetie" Ms. Letty touched Lily's face and sighed "Do you have your old uniform?" She asked making Lily nodded "Yes ma'am. " Lily said hopeful. "Well, you start tomorrow night at 5pm. Don't be late" Letty said as Lily smiled standing up and hugging them women. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, " Lily repeated as she nodded "You're very welcome, dear. Go get settled" she said as Lily smiled grabbing her keys. When she turned, she noticed a tall man with shaggy black hair staring at her in the corner of the restaurant. Lily gave a quick nod as a hello and headed out to her car. She turned on the car seeing it was 1pm. "Shit." she whispered knowing she had another interview at Rhodes Corp. They did the photos for all the new models and that was Lily's passion, she loved being behind the camera to capture someone's special moment. That is where she had been this morning was doing maternity photos for a couple. When Lily was buckled up, she began her 15-minute drive to Rhodes Corp.

I'm glad you got your old position back, Lily. Corey isn't worth the aggravation. 👍
