Give this a chance!

"This story was a lot darker and more emotional than I expected. Lin’s introduction as Twenty-six immediately pulled me in, especially the way the numbered identities show how little control the characters have over their own lives. I really liked how her colder personality slowly started to make sense as more of her past and relationships were revealed. The Purist facility feels genuinely unsettling, and the trials, forced roles, and fear of people suddenly disappearing create a strong sense of danger throughout. I also enjoyed how the story explores chosen family and identity without making the characters completely good or evil. Their loyalty comes from love, but it also pushes them into some morally complicated decisions. It’s intense, unusual, and definitely not afraid to go to dark places. I’m really curious to see how the different characters and storylines connect from here. Very good writing! Keep it up and I will keep reading. "
