The Night That Changed Everything

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Time: 9:15 PM

Heavy rain poured over the busy streets of Bangkok. Neon lights reflected on the wet roads as people hurried home. The sound of police sirens echoed throughout the city.

Police Officer Kawin had just finished a difficult case. Known for his calm personality and sharp instincts, he was one of the most respected officers in the Metropolitan Police Department. Even after long hours of duty, he never ignored anyone's call for help.

Meanwhile, Tawan had just finished hosting a charity event at a luxury hotel. His warm smile and friendly personality made him popular with everyone. However, behind that smile, he carried many hidden pains that no one knew about. After changing into casual clothes, he started walking toward the nearest train station.

As Tawan was crossing a quiet street, he noticed a little girl crying in the middle of the road. Her teddy bear had fallen onto the street, and she was too frightened to move.

Before Tawan could reach her, a black car came speeding toward them.

Without thinking for even a second, Tawan rushed forward and pushed the little girl to safety.

Screech!

The sound of the car's brakes echoed through the street.

Just as the car was about to hit Tawan, someone grabbed his arm and pulled him away with great force.

It was Kawin.

The two of them fell onto the rain-soaked road. For a few moments, they simply stared into each other's eyes while the rain continued to pour around them.

"Are you okay?" Kawin asked.

Tawan slowly nodded.

"I'm fine... Thank you."

The little girl's mother ran over, hugged her daughter tightly, and thanked both Kawin and Tawan with tears in her eyes.

Before they could say anything else, Kawin's phone rang.

"There's been another attack," his colleague said urgently. "We need you here immediately."

Kawin nodded.

"I have to go."

Before leaving, he looked back at Tawan once more.

"Take care of yourself."

Tawan smiled softly.

"You too, Officer."

Kawin disappeared into the rain. Neither of them realized that this was only the beginning of their story.

---

Meanwhile... In another part of the city...

Police Officer Than entered a small neighborhood coffee shop after finishing his long shift.

The owner of the coffee shop, Mek, welcomed him with a warm smile.

"Long day?"

Than nodded tiredly.

"The longest."

Mek placed a hot cup of coffee in front of him.

"This one's on the house."

Than looked surprised.

"You don't even know me."

Mek laughed softly.

"Kindness doesn't need a reason."

For the first time in weeks, Than smiled.

As they were talking, the television suddenly interrupted its program with breaking news.

"Police are investigating a series of mysterious attacks across Bangkok. Citizens are advised to remain alert."

Than immediately stood up.

Duty had called him once again.

Before leaving, Mek handed him an umbrella.

"Return it someday."

Than accepted it with a gentle smile.

"I promise."

Neither of them knew that this small promise would change their lives forever.

---

Later That Night...

A man wearing a black hoodie stood on the rooftop of an abandoned building, silently watching the city of Bangkok.

In his hands were four photographs.

Kawin.

Tawan.

Than.

Mek.

With a cold smile, he placed the photographs on the ground.

"You can run from your past..."

He lit the corner of one photograph with a lighter.

"...But karma will always find you."

The wind carried the burning ashes into the dark night sky.

Far below, Kawin, Tawan, Than, and Mek continued living their lives, unaware that their destinies had already been tied together by an invisible thread.

Their journey of love, mystery, danger, and karma had finally begun.
