Great stuff
"This reminded me why I started reading in the first place. Some stories just have that quality where everything clicks and you remember what fiction is actually for.""
The Final Act:Rewritten
"First, Chelsea in this story seems like an introvert. What's funny is she was excited to be in the play, yet it went horribly wrong straight away. It already feels like a friends-to-lovers type of book and it's only chapter two. If the teacher knew, she should be at fault for not warning anyone before others went missing. It's strange that she didn't stop the acting for students or at least give some sort of warning. At first, the play seemed to be going well, and the story has a haunted/paranormal school vibe. If there's an old panel, you probably shouldn't mess with it; I'm surprised the school didn't close it off. The notes they keep finding seem like hints to stop the act, maybe whoever is leaving them wants the madness of missing students to end. The two should definitely become detectives when they're older. The shadowy figure could be watching the students closely to mimic them better so it doesn't look like they're acting strange. I kept reading "Heroine" wrong. If Amara and the others disappeared, why doesn't anyone mention how the main character in the acts disappears too? It would be a pretty obvious pattern. The constant notes and appearing clues, do they disappear afterwards? Small theory: The distressed old lady, maybe she is Amara, or someone who played Ms. Evelyn Hart, otherwise where have the missing people gone? The whispers that the two hear, maybe other students hear them sometimes too? Could be the missing students' whispers. Instead of helping the cycle end, the voices could actually be keeping it going. A perfect performance can be given, yet it shouldn't be expected of senior high students. When the story changes, the girl seems rather worried because it's bound to happen, maybe she was forced to and got used to mimicking the students. The final chance was the last moment to decide if Chelsea would disappear or stay, and the mystery in that is interesting. When the story is finally free, the decades of those who were affected by it could be put to rest, otherwise why would the curse be lifted. The ending is good. Overall, the story is brilliant, the plot is wonderful. The way the text was laid out was neat and easy to read. The book? 10/10 The many questions that wander make the book more interesting than it already is."
