Chapter 1
Erina’s POV:
It was Sunday. Uh, finally the weekend. I usually woke up around 9:30 on weekends. I just finished my high school final exam and was preparing myself for college. I got up , made my bed and went to the bathroom to get fresh. I went downstairs with my pajamas on.
My father , Mr. William Melron was one of the famous businessmen in Lisbon. Dad was already in the living room with his business staff. I greeted him-” Good Morning, Dad”.
" Morning, sweetheart. Get ready to start your day”
Start my day? Isn’t it the same way I start every day? Was something going to happen today? Whatever.
I went to the dining room which was beside the living room. I took a seat and started with pancakes.
Mmm, It’s delicious, Serena Aunt. Serena Aunt is a maid in our house. I have been seeing her since my birth. She is my favorite. I spent most of my childhood with her as mom was on a business trip with dad often.
Suddenly , Ryan came along. Ryan was my baby brother. He was 8. He always loved to tease and annoy me but I love him. He goes,” Hey, sis! Do you...?” Mom cut him off.“Shh, Ryan , go to the garden and play . Go”
I wondered, “what are they hiding from me?” Dad went with ” ready to start your day” and now mom and Ryan?
All of a sudden, I heard his voice . There he went, Mr. Adrian Rossi. I didn’t know he was sitting with my father on the couch. I didn’t notice him. Woh, how could I?
Adrian Rossi was my father’s business partner for more than 7 years. He was also one of the successful businessmen since his young age. He is so tall, up to 6 ’3 I guess, brooding, masculine, with sharp jawline, intense blue eyes and the mysterious look on his face. People rarely caught him smiling. At least , I never ever saw him smiling in my life. But he was quite handsome, attractive. He radiated his light into every room he entered and made people stare at him. I looked at him and focused on my breakfast. I didn’t want to hold back but I couldn’t stop myself from stealing glances at him.
I finished my breakfast and took a glance at him. I found myself still. He was already looking at me. “Oh no, I am gone today.” I didn’t say anything. My whole expression was blunt. Then he gave a sweet smile and said- “Hi! Little Melron!”
I thought I was dreaming. What just happened? Did this man even smile? I caught myself off guard. So I looked away and directly ran to the kitchen to hide from him. The faintest curl of his lips when he smiled. God, it was divinely beautiful.
