About The Characters

Marigold: A twenty-seven-year-old graphic designer from Brooklyn. She measures success by kerning precision and survives entirely on coffee. She refuses to panic over supernatural creatures, choosing to get deeply indignant about being treated like a science experiment instead.

Barrett: A massive mountain woodworker and bear shifter who handles stress by tearing kitchen towels to ribbons. He speaks in grunts, glares at squirrels, and loses his entire mind every time Goldie steals his flannel shirts.

Sawyer: Julian’s corporate lawyer brother. He treats shifter biology like a legal merger, drafts fake occupancy agreements, and runs the entire matchmaking operation with deadpan efficiency.

Toby: Julian’s younger brother. He wears skateboard shoes in the woods, eats charred marshmallows, and treats family interventions as premium entertainment.
The Grizzly’s Unintended Guest
Marigold just wanted a quiet weekend in the woods. Instead, she gets trapped in a timber fortress with a giant woodworker who treats social interaction like a personal insult. Barrett does not want guests. He blames an imaginary bear for his insomnia and spends his nights shredding kitchen potholders.
Marigold refuses to be intimidated by a man who communicates through heavy sighs. As a bizarre shifter mating cycle approaches, both of them discover that fighting the bond is much harder than arguing over font choices.
