Chapter1: The devil's son
Chapter 1 — The Devil's Son
Rain poured over the city, turning the streets dark and empty.
Por pulled his hoodie over his head as he ran through the alley, trying to escape the heavy rain. His phone had died an hour ago, and he was already late getting home.
"Just my luck," he muttered.
As he reached the main road, a black SUV suddenly stopped right in front of him.
Its headlights blinded him.
The windows slowly rolled down.
Four men in black suits stepped out.
Por immediately took a step back.
"What do you want?"
None of them answered.
Instead, they moved aside as another man got out of the car.
He was tall, dressed completely in black, with silver rings on his fingers and a gun tucked into his belt. His expression was calm, almost bored.
But his eyes...
They were cold enough to make anyone nervous.
Por had never seen him before.
The man looked him up and down before speaking.
"You're Por."
It wasn't a question.
Por frowned.
"Who's asking?"
The man ignored him.
"Come with me."
Por laughed.
"You think I'll just get into a stranger's car?"
"No."
The man took another step forward.
"I think you'll have no choice."
Por's jaw tightened.
"I don't know who you are."
"You don't need to."
"I said I'm not going."
For a few seconds, neither of them moved.
Then the man smiled.
It wasn't friendly.
It looked more like a warning.
Before Por could react, one of the guards grabbed his arm.
"Let go!"
Por threw a punch, hitting the guard hard enough to make him stumble.
Another guard rushed toward him.
Por kicked him in the stomach before trying to run.
He only made it three steps.
Someone grabbed the back of his hoodie and slammed him against the car.
Pain shot through his shoulder.
"Damn it!"
He struggled, but the grip was too strong.
The mysterious man walked over and looked down at him.
"You fight well."
"Go to hell."
Instead of getting angry, the man chuckled.
"I like people who aren't afraid of me."
Por glared at him.
"I don't even know you."
The man's smile disappeared.
"My name is Tee."
The moment he said it, the guards lowered their heads.
Por noticed.
Who the hell was this guy?
Tee leaned closer.
"My father is the head of the Viroj family."
Por's heart skipped a beat.
Everyone knew that name.
The Viroj family controlled half the city's underground world.
Drugs.
Weapons.
Casinos.
If people whispered about monsters, they were talking about them.
Por swallowed.
"So... you're the mafia heir."
Tee didn't deny it.
"I've been looking for you."
Por frowned.
"Why?"
Tee pulled a photo from his pocket and held it in front of Por.
It was an old picture.
A little boy...
And Por.
"You know him."
Por's face immediately turned pale.
"Where did you get that?"
"So you do know him."
"Answer my question!"
Tee slipped the photo back into his pocket.
"I will."
He opened the SUV door.
"After you come with me."
"I'm not going anywhere."
"You really don't understand your situation."
"And you don't understand mine."
Tee sighed.
"You have two choices."
"You either get in the car yourself..."
"...or my men will put you in it."
Por clenched his fists.
He hated people who thought they could control others.
Especially rich, powerful men like Tee.
Without warning, Por shoved the guard away and tried to run again.
A gunshot echoed through the street.
Bang!
The bullet hit the ground just inches away from his feet.
Por froze.
His breathing became uneven.
Tee lowered the gun slowly.
"I wasn't aiming at you."
His voice was calm.
"But next time..."
"I won't miss."
Silence filled the street.
Por looked at the gun.
Then at Tee.
Hatred burned in his chest.
At that moment, he made himself one promise.
No matter what happened...
He would never forgive Tee.
Not in this life.
Not ever.
He didn't know that this one rainy night would change everything.
And the man standing in front of him...
Would become both his greatest enemy...
...and the person capable of destroying his heart.
