The Meadow
Come meet me in the meadow,
In the sun kissed, dewy grass.
The blades grow tall around us,
Concealing lovers as eyes pass.
Throw the blanket wrapped around us,
Let our soft skin greet the sun.
Persephone herself invites us,
As our bodies bloom as one.
Listen closely for the walkers
On the pathway to the right.
Hush now darling, they might hear us.
Wouldn’t we be quite the lovely sight?
Drinking nectar from the flower
Where earth and body meet,
Let me sing to you in birdsong
As you take what’s wild and sweet.
Let us dance within this wildness,
Longing, tender, warm, and free.
Lustful, open and unafraid.
In the heart of the green country.

I love the story
