Chapter 1

In the heart of Mumbai stood the magnificent Rajvansh Mansion, home to one of the India’s most influential business families. The Rajvansh Group was an empire built over generations, real estate, infrastructure, shipping, finance, and international investments. Their name commanded respect in every boardroom and influence in every industry they entered.

At the centre of that empire stood Arjun Rajvansh, thirty eight years old…Powerful….Disciplined….Respected. He is a man known for his sharp mind and unwavering control. People feared his silence more than his anger. Arjun lived in the ancestral Rajvansh Mansion with his mother, Savitri Rajvansh, and his elder brother, Vikram Rajvansh. The two brothers managed the Rajvansh empire together. Vikram was calm and approachable, Arjun was decisive and relentless and together, they were unstoppable.

Vikram is married to Nandini Rajvansh. They have two sons. Aryan Rajvansh, twenty, was studying MBBS . Rudra Rajvansh, eighteen, was in college and far more interested in computers.

Arjun’s personal life is simple. He has a son Ayaan Rajvansh who is 14 years old. He is the legal guardian. He is the son of Arjun’s cousin and his closest friend, Kabir Rajvansh. Kabir and his wife had lost their lives in a tragic car accident, leaving Ayaan alone in the world.Without hesitation, Arjun became his legal guardian. He gave him a home and the security of a family. He wanted the boy to have his parent's names. He didn't want to erase Kabir and Kiara from Ayaan's life.

To Arjun, Ayaan was his son in every way that truly mattered. His life revolved around his family, his business, and the son he had chosen to raise. No one knew that fate had written another story for him years ago. A story he himself knew nothing about.

Fifteen years ago.

During his final year at university, Arjun attended a celebration with friends after completing an important Project. There was music….Laughter….Alcohol and one unexpected encounter.

That night he met Maya Anand. She is the daughter of an Indian family settled in America. She was in the same celebration. A friendship was formed…Nothing serious…Nothing planned. Then one drunken night changed everything. The next morning, both understood it had been a mistake. A moment neither had intended.

The next morning, Arjun spoke to the girl with complete sincerity. “If anything comes out of this, I’ll take responsibility.”

She denied him. She believed that some moments were better left in the past. Maya didn't want to be with a man who worked in the university to pay his fees. Soon after the final exam, she left the city and went back to her family and life carried them in different directions. Arjun returned to India, joining his elder brother in building the Rajvansh business into an empire.
