Summary

Until the Last Bell 🔔 Some stories end with the last bell. Some memories never do. In 2016, Fourteen-year-old Prishaanvi Sharma begins Class VIII at Oakhaven Public School, carrying more than just a schoolbag on her shoulders. Raised in Delhi by her strong, independent mother, Dr. Nandita Sharma, Prishaanvi has always known that life does not come easily. When financial circumstances force Nandita to send Prishaanvi and her little sister, Charvi, to Bihar to live with their grandparents, Keshav and Meera Shah, Prishaanvi finds herself beginning a completely new chapter of her life—away from the mother she loves, the city she knows, and everything familiar. At Oakhaven, she has her friends beside her, a new routine to adjust to, and years of school ahead of her. And then there is Vivaan Malhotra. Studious but mischievous, popular yet mature, Vivaan is simply another boy in her class at first. But as the school years pass, ordinary days begin turning into unforgettable memories—shared laughter, friendships, classroom moments, celebrations, misunderstandings, growing dreams, and feelings neither of them quite knows how to name. While Prishaanvi grows up between two homes and Vivaan grows up surrounded by his own close-knit family, life continues to change around them. Childhood slowly gives way to adolescence, friendships evolve, and the innocent world of Class VIII becomes a collection of memories they will carry long after they leave Oakhaven. But not every story unfolds the way we hope. Some bonds are tested by time, distance, circumstances, and choices. Some endings hurt precisely because the feelings were real. Until the Last Bell is a story about growing up, family, friendship, first love, and the moments that seem ordinary while we are living them—but become precious once they are gone. Because sometimes, the most unforgettable love stories are not the ones that begin with a grand confession. They are the ones that begin with a classroom, a school bell, and two people who never knew how much those ordinary days would come to mean.
