I finally found the dark romance novel i was looking for

"Loved how quickly the story sets up the conflict. Being handed over to clear someone else's debt puts Elena in an impossible position right away, and the atmosphere reflects that danger. The pacing is solid, the tension never lets up, and the interactions between the characters feel charged with real friction. Adding this straight to my reading list."

"I came over to read Christian's story because he had followed me. I am so glad I checked it out. The Zombie one did not appeal to me but...this one? I thought I could read comfortably and leave some nice comments here and there. Well, this kid blew me out of the water from chapter one. I am not into Bond movies, or Mission Impossible...but this writing (while not following any formula I have ever read) is taut, concise and spellbinding in its fluidity alone. We meet Elena, a young budding singer, wishing only one thing in her young life. Then all hell breaks loose and she find herself wrapped up in a dark, sinister world that she never was meant to be in. Her humanity, her reluctant strength, her bravery...even when terrified...her spirit which cannot be suppressed even by a man who instills fear into each he meets. That's his job, by the way and he excels in it. But for some reason, even I don't know yet...for we only have six chapters of this gem. He decides not to kill Elena, but takes her to his 'fortress' for lack of better words. I don't even think he knows why he spared her... Elena makes mistakes. Elena is flawed. Elena, in my eyes? is one of the most original, captivating protagonists to come along in a very long time. I usually gravitate to the male in any story and I do appreciate Adrian very much but at this moment in the writing...my entire focus is on...not the menacing, dark persona of Adrian...but a small, defenseless female who has more balls than anyone I've seen in a while, even though she has no idea she is that strong and capable. Yet. Had to come over and ask readers to check out this story. They will not be sorry then did, no matter what genre you fancy, this one will satisfy. Now...writer guy. Get busy and continue with this story. It is brilliant and so are you. "
