About The Characters

1. Aria
Aria is a freelance graphic designer from the city who accidentally ends up stranded at Blackwood Manor after her apartment building is fumigated. She’s witty, observant, skeptical, and tries very hard to explain away everything strange happening around her. She’s practical on the outside, but underneath, she’s romantic, curious, and braver than she thinks.
She can spot bad kerning from across a room.
She will absolutely judge a person by the quality of their coffee mug.
She keeps trying to explain werewolf behavior with “there’s probably a normal explanation.”

2. Graham Vance
Graham is the Alpha of the pack and the structural-engineer-meets-mountain-werewolf dream man of the story. He is protective, quiet, deeply competent, and intimidating without trying. Underneath all the Alpha control is a man who is loyal, tender, and completely undone by Aria.
He can build a fireplace, split wood, and emotionally stare a person into silence.
He has the patience of a saint unless Leilani is sabotaging his love life.
The pack claims he can brood so hard the weather changes.

3. Leilani Vance
Leilani is Aria’s chaotic best friend and Graham’s long-suffering sister. She knows exactly how dangerous an intense Alpha mate bond can become, so she spends much of the story launching ridiculous operations to keep Aria and Graham apart. She is funny, impulsive, loyal, and emotionally protective to the point of absurdity.
She could turn “grabbing coffee” into a full tactical evacuation.
She treats every family problem like it needs a color-coded emergency plan.
Her natural habitat is panic, sarcasm, and glittery chaos.

4. Grandma Helen
Grandma Helen is the heart of the Blackwood Pack. She runs the kitchen, commands the family with a wooden spoon and iron authority, and instantly decides whether a person belongs under her roof. She’s sharp, affectionate, impossible to fool, and terrifying in the most comforting way.
Her hugs are loving and mildly dangerous.
She knows everyone’s business before they do.
Her spoon has ended more family arguments than any Alpha command.

5. Uncle Rick
Uncle Rick is the lovable chaos uncle of the pack. He’s large, loud, shamelessly funny, and always one sentence away from making a bad situation worse in the funniest possible way. Beneath the teasing, though, he’s affectionate and fiercely loyal.
He has probably placed a bet on literally everything.
He stretches like a man trying to scare the furniture.
He gives terrible advice with tremendous confidence.

6. Marcus
Marcus is one of the friendliest members of the pack and often acts like the unofficial commentator for the family’s chaos. He’s charming, relaxed, funny, and always seems to know what’s going on before anyone says it out loud.
He would absolutely narrate family drama like a sports announcer if allowed.
He can carry heavy boxes and gossip with equal efficiency.
He enjoys watching Leilani lose her mind over Graham and Aria.

7. Sarah
Sarah is one of the tougher women in the pack—capable, strong, blunt, and not interested in nonsense. She has an intimidating edge, but she’s reliable, grounded, and deeply loyal to the family.
She can make a person feel judged without saying a word.
If she owns a favorite axe, nobody is brave enough to ask follow-up questions.
She is not mean. She is simply aggressively efficient.

8. Thomas
Thomas is one of the sturdier, quieter men in the family. He doesn’t speak as much as Rick or Marcus, but when he does, it usually lands. He’s dependable, intimidating at first glance, and built like someone who can carry a fallen tree by himself.
He looks like he could win a lumberjack competition by accident.
He says little, but his facial expressions do a lot of work.
He somehow makes silence feel like a full opinion.

9. Leo
Leo is one of the younger members of the pack and brings youthful energy to the family scenes. He’s sharp, quick, curious, and always a little too interested in everything happening around him.
He notices everything and absolutely should not be trusted with secrets.
He would one hundred percent eavesdrop “for emotional support.”
He acts innocent, but that innocence is suspicious.

10. Maya
Maya is one of the younger female pack members and adds a bright, observant presence to the family dynamic. She’s clever, athletic, and has the kind of quiet confidence that says she always knows more than she lets on.
She has definitely watched drama unfold while pretending not to.
She can look supportive and entertained at the exact same time.
She has excellent timing when chaos needs a witness.
