"I started this expecting a typical werewolf story, but the mystery around Lily’s past is what really pulled me in. There are a lot of secrets, betrayals, and moments where you realize almost everyone knows more than she does. Damien frustrated me plenty, but I could also see why he made some of the choices he did. The story takes its time building the bigger picture, but the later chapters made a lot of the earlier clues click into place. I liked Lily’s growth most, especially when she finally started pushing back and making her own decisions. I’d recommend it to readers who like supernatural romance with mystery, politics, hidden identities, and complicated relationships."
