Chapter 1:"The Day Lumi Woke Up" 🌙✨
The rain tapped softly against the window of the old electronics laboratory.
Miya sat alone at her worktable, surrounded by tiny wires, colorful circuit boards, and the gentle glow of LED lights. The clock on the wall showed 11:47 PM, but she didn't notice. Her eyes were fixed on the small device in front of her.
"Just one more test…" she whispered with a smile.
For others, it was only a collection of circuits and components.
For Miya, it was a dream waiting to come alive.
Since childhood, Miya had always wondered about one question:
"Can machines understand more than just commands?"
Everyone told her that robots could only follow instructions. They could sense, calculate, and respond—but they could never truly learn.
But Miya believed differently.
"Every creation has a story," she said while connecting the final wire. "Maybe even a tiny circuit can have a little spark of its own."
On the table was her newest invention.
A small robot no bigger than her hand.
It had round eyes, a tiny glowing display, and a body made from carefully designed electronic parts. Inside it was a powerful little controller that could process signals from sensors and learn from its surroundings.
Miya gently touched the robot's head.
"Your name will be… Lumi."
The small robot remained silent.
For a moment, the room felt completely still.
Then...
Beep.
Miya froze.
The tiny lights on Lumi's body started blinking.
"Wait… what?"
She quickly checked the connections.
Power supply: Normal.
Sensors: Active.
System: Starting.
The screen on Lumi's face slowly lit up.
Two bright eyes appeared.
"Hello..."
Miya's eyes widened.
"No way… Did you just speak?"
The robot moved its small hands and looked around the laboratory.
"Where am I?"
Miya stepped closer, unable to hide her excitement.
"You are in my lab. I created you."
The robot looked at her.
"Created… by you?"
"Yes. I'm Miya."
A few seconds passed.
Then Lumi replied:
"Miya… I like this name."
A small laugh escaped from her.
"You are not supposed to like names. You are supposed to analyze data!"
Lumi tilted its head.
"But I analyzed your voice. You are happy when you say my name."
Miya became silent.
That was not a normal response.
Lumi was not just reading information.
It was observing emotions.
Outside, the rain continued falling, but inside the small laboratory, something extraordinary had begun.
A tiny robot had opened its eyes for the first time.
And without knowing it…
Miya had created something more valuable than a machine.
She had created a friend.
The little robot looked at the glowing circuits inside its body.
"Miya… what is my purpose?"
Miya smiled.
She looked at the tiny robot standing in front of her.
"Maybe we will discover that together, Lumi."
The lights of the laboratory shined brighter as the two new friends stood together for the first time.
A girl who dreamed of changing technology…
And a little robot who dreamed of understanding the world.
That night, a new story was written—not in ink, but in circuits.
To be continued…
