Grace and Revan have been friends for years. Yet somehow, every time they meet, arguing comes far more naturally to them than getting along. Stubborn Grace will never back down, while mischievous Revan always knows exactly how to push her buttons.
But everything changes when an unexpected decision binds them together in an arranged marriage—something neither of them ever saw coming.
Amidst endless bickering, slowly revealed secrets, and laughter shared with the people closest to them… could what feels like hatred slowly turn into love?
Not every love story begins with love at first sight. Some grow slowly… with the very person you once tried hardest to avoid.
“If the two of you ever get married, the world will probably end first.”
“Watch your mouth—your words are scarier than any horror movie.”
“Yeah, seriously, that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.”
“Who knows? Maybe fate has other plans.”
Laughter erupted around the café table.
Grace rolled her eyes and tossed a french fry straight at the boy sitting across from her.
“Keep dreaming, guys.”
Revan caught the fry before it hit his face, then popped it into his mouth with an innocent grin. “Please. I’d rather marry my gaming chair than a hot-headed, stubborn girl like her.”
“There you go again. No woman would ever want a man who never stops talking.”
“HEY! And no man would want a woman who looks like she’s about to murder someone at any second!” Revan shot back immediately.
“Ugh, here we go again!” one of their friends groaned, slapping a hand to his forehead as the table grew louder. “Honestly, you two are so loud when you fight. But weirdly… it feels empty whenever one of you isn’t around.”
“Yeah, exactly. Like a cat and dog. Gives me a headache, but life’s boring without it.”
“If they ever got along, I’d probably get goosebumps.”
“Agreed.”
Laughter filled the space once more.
This was just how things were.
Grace and Revan had argued for as long as anyone could remember. They fought over food, music, movies, and every tiny thing in between—always debating who was right and who was wrong… sometimes even forgetting what they were fighting about in the first place.
Everyone assumed they hated each other.
Maybe they did.
Or maybe they were just too comfortable with each other to ever stop.
Neither of them had any idea that, far beneath all their endless bickering, their families were quietly planning a future neither of them had ever imagined.
Would this pre-planned destiny be enough to change everything?
