Chapter 1
Once there was a city. Its name was Downfall. There was a time when this city had not a single drop of water. Scarcity was at its peak.
Now, it is well developed. There was a college where a girl named Lucy was a student. She was so hardworking and kindhearted.
She came to know that a new girl had transferred. She went to class. The teacher introduced the transfer student to the class. Her name was Ella. Ella was good looking and innocent. Every classmate liked her. Lucy was excited to talk to her.
Coincidentally, there was a seat beside Lucy, so the teacher told Ella to sit there. Ella and Lucy greeted each other. Ella found Lucy cute and kind, so she asked her to become her friend. Lucy was happy to have a friend. They spent most of their time with each other. Lucy got so attached to Ella.
But Ella had two sides.
One day, Ella invited Lucy to her home. Lucy was so blindfolded that she could do anything for her, as she was just asking her to come home. That was not a big deal. Lucy went to Ella's home. Ella was an orphan and she lived alone.
In reality, Ella was not innocent. She did things beyond her age. Lucy was unaware. She did not know her bad side. Ella was jealous of Lucy because of her looks, grades, and kindness. Ella wanted to pursue her bad habits.
Lucy went to her home and Ella gave her a drink in which there was a drug. Lucy at once did not find out that it was a drug.
At college, Lucy felt anxious as she was craving for the drink. She asked Ella, "Can you give me that drink again?" Ella smirked and sweetly said, "Yes, you can." Lucy got satisfied with the drink and thanked Ella, and naively said that this drink was magical.
One day, Lucy went to Ella's home. She had just entered the door when she heard some voices. It was Ella and her real best friend. They were laughing and mocking Lucy, saying that she was so dumb. Lucy's heart broke into pieces. Her tears were stuck in her throat. She wanted to scream.
Lucy, who looked like an angel, now looked like a faded beauty. Lucy got dark circles. Her grades got so low. Lucy got back home and controlled herself. She also tried to control her craving for the drug. So she decided to break her friendship with Ella. But first, she wanted to make herself glow and to be strong again.
She made an excuse to Ella and submitted an application to college that her grandmother was ill and she needed to take care of her. The application got accepted. Ella really tried to stop her, but Lucy was now smarter than before. She didn't fall for her tricks and went to her old home.
She started to work on herself and went to rehabilitation. She got rid of her addiction. Now she became a beautiful girl who was more smart, brave, and attractive. She wanted to take revenge. She made a plan that she would expose Ella for her bad deeds.
Lucy took a month to recover. Now she went back to her college and met Ella like nothing had happened. But deep inside, she was just feeling disgusted. Ella got jealous of her again. Ella evilly said to Lucy that she wanted to try that drink again, that was her favorite. Lucy got an opportunity to get revenge. She said yes to Ella. Ella was fooled by Lucy.
Lucy went to her home. Lucy put cameras at her home entrance, where they were sitting, and in her room, on the excuse that she wanted to use her bathroom. Everything was set up. Now, Lucy just needed evidence.
A day came when Lucy could get revenge. One day, a man came to Ella's home. Ella was also a drug dealer. She was dealing with him. It was caught on the entrance camera. Lucy saved the recording.
Lucy came to know that there were more victims of Ella. There was a victim like Lucy. Her name was Anna. Lucy helped her. Anna went to Ella's house. Ella got angry and slapped her. This was also recorded on camera. Anna acted more to trap Ella. Anna yelled at her and told her how she had survived.
Ella said angrily, "You deserved it. You should not be beautiful as well." Anna wanted her to confess what she had done. Ella angrily confessed everything, as she did not know that she was being recorded. Anna was happy inside, but Ella did not confess about Lucy. So Anna made her angrier by taking Lucy's name.
Ella asked her, "How do you know about Lucy?" Anna told her that she had been spying ever since she knew about her real side, as she was lying and covering the real plan. Ella started laughing maniacally. She said, "You know too much. Yes, I ruined Lucy. I made her a drug addict. I also wanted to kill her, but she was lucky." The truth was exposed.
Ella said, "I did not kill her, but I'll kill you." She was going to kill Anna when Lucy showed up with the police and gave all the evidence to them, as per the plan. Ella was proven mentally sick. The court sentenced her to life in prison.
Lucy's revenge was complete. Later, she lived her life happily and started a center where she could guide innocent teenagers who could get manipulated by evil manipulators.
One year had passed.
Lucy was no longer the broken girl from college. She had started a center. Its name was "New Dawn". It was for teenagers who were trapped by bad influences, drugs, and fake friendships.
The center was small, but full of hope. The walls were painted white. There were motivational quotes everywhere. And the first person Lucy had helped was Anna.
Anna was now the co-founder. She taught art classes to the students. She would always say, "I was once a victim. Now I am a survivor. And so can you."
