New place, New people
Luna, 21 years old women, who came to Seoul for her masters as a exchange student program. Luna has a curly hair and slightly tan skin, 5′8 feet tall. She love to be in nature and seek adventure and creative in her own way. She love sports even thought she can play average and so, so. Did she have any idea how her life is going to change after this visit, the mysteries going to happen in her life? The people she is going to fall in love again and find a bond? I woke up to the spring wind from my window. This is my first day of college, and I am really excited to meet new friends in this new place. Yeah, I moved here for my research purposes. My mom, sister, and I moved here to Seoul. I am a sports scientist, researching Taekwondo players. As Taekwondo is a national sport in Korea, I moved here as an exchange student.
I rolled off my bed and picked my dresses along with the towel. I went to freshen up. As I entered my bedroom, I saw my younger sister who was waiting with two cups of coffee in her hand. Of course, one for her and one for me. She took a sip from her coffee and gave me my cup as I started to do my hair.
“When will you come back home today?” she asked as she took another sip of coffee. “I wanna look around the city after you work, Luna. So, come as soon as possible.”
“I dunno when I will come back home after the intro, Zoya. I will inform you once I am done with today. You and Mom get ready and meet me in the park near our apartment. We will go for a walk to explore the city. Okay?.” At the time I finished my sentence, my mom entered the room by calling our names for breakfast.
Then we went to the kitchen and had our breakfast together happily. I bet bye to my mom and my sister. I opened Google Maps cause I am not familiar with the route to the Korea National Sports University yet. On my way, I plugged in my AirPods and lost myself in the music. The view from the window is really mesmerizing...
When I reached the university, it was really nice and big. If I got lost on my way, it’s no wonder about that, cause this is so big. Glad that I got approved to do the research at this university. As my eyes roamed around here and there, noting the details of the building, I bumped into someone. I slightly stumbled back cause the focus of the collision didn’t fall. Later, I realized that a pair of arms was holding me by my shoulder. I looked at the person to say ‘sorry’, and I realized that we were so close, so I released myself from the person’s grip and said sorry by bowing 90 degrees.
The person also did the same. When I noticed his face, he was really cute with his bangs covering his forehead, and round eyes which are shining cause of the spring sun’s light. We just laughed after realizing that we are doing the same thing simultaneously, which reveals his cute bunny smile. I want to ruffle his hair with his cuteness.
“Sorry, miss. Are you okay??” the boy asked,
“Yeah, I am fine. I am sorry too, sir. I didn’t pay attention as I was looking around the building.” I said awkwardly, smiling at him.
“So you are new here??.. that’s why I can’t recognize who you are??”
“Yeah.... Actually, I am here to do my research work, and I don’t know where I should find the principal and start doing the thesis.” I continued, “By any chance, do you guys know where I can find the principal?”
He thought for a moment, ” I think I know, and I am free now, so I can lead you there. Follow me, miss.”
I followed him in the corridor and finally, he stopped in front of one of the doors in the corridor. “This is the room, miss. You can submit your files here and do the thing... mean the research. Yeah, you can start your research.”
“Luna, this is Luna for you.” I extended my hand to shake. ” Ohh... okay, miss Luna. I am Jung Kook Jeon (JK), I am a student here.” he paused and stared at the watch on his right-hand wrist. “Oh god, it’s really nice to meet you, Miss Luna. I have to go now. Hope you like this place.” With that, he disappeared at the end of the corridor.
‘Cute.’ I smiled to myself and entered the office. The head went through the files and said that I can start my research work tomorrow, and they arranged some Taekwondo players for my research. So as of now, I am walking around the university to see my workplace where I will spend three years here...
Behind the building, there was a huge ground. A few students were practicing their running skills, acceleration and deceleration with the cone. As my eyes roam around the bunch of students, my eyes landed on the dark figure which appears under the tree on the side of the ground. When I tried to look into the figure’s face, I blinked my eyes to get a proper view. Within a sec the figure vanished....
I can’t believe my eyes, but I shrugged it off. Thinking that was my imagination... I walked near the tree and looked around, they was a lake on the other side where people are walking, jogging and cycling around it like an echo park.
The sunset view was mesmerizing. Thinking back on the day again, the new place, new people and new experience. I am so excited. Jungkook seems a nice guy. Hope we will get along well.
