Chapter One; Four Years Later

Four Years Later; 15th of June

“Good morning!” Carrie told Asher as he walked into the kitchen. “Morning, is Carter up?” He asked, “Yeah, he’s outside playing, want brekkie?” She smiled then replied. “Nah, I’m good” he said and went outside. Carter was just out reading a book from the library. Asher walked over to him then grabbed his shoulder making Carter jump, ‘What the hell, Ash?’ he signed, ‘Sorry, just seemed fun’ Asher signed back. Carter rolled his eyes. Asher then signed ‘I’m sorry’ and hugged him, the hug broke a smile onto his face and he hugged back. Asher glanced at the book Carter had and picked it up, ‘It’s about aliens’ he signed, ‘Aliens? You mean the green creatures? Don’t they eat humans?’ Asher signed to him giggling, Carter shook his head with a small smile at Ashers small joke. “Hey bud!” Will walked over to the two, “Will!” Asher said hugging him, Will waved at Carter, he waved back. Will signed whilst saying “What’re y’all both up to?” Carter signed back ‘Nothing much, just hanging out’ Asher mainly agreed with the statement. “Alrighty, heads up there, lunch is at twelve by the way” he said and signed before walking off. The two had been close ever since they met, that summer Asher found a new attachment towards Carter.

At lunch Carter and his sister Carrie decided to have lunch with a few of the others.
