Common terms used by the Infrastructure Bureau

Grid — The system that carries power throughout Nethyra.

Relay — A small switch that automatically turns power on, off, or sends it in another direction.

Junction Box — A protected box where electrical wires connect and power can split off toward different areas.

Breaker — A safety switch that shuts off power when something goes wrong or when a section needs to be repaired.

Regulator — A device that keeps the amount of power moving through the system at a safe level.

Power Feed — The flow of power being sent to a certain area or part of the grid.

Transfer — Moving power from one part of the grid to another.

Emergency Transfer — Moving power to a backup source or route when the normal power fails or is shut off.

Reserve Power — Backup power used when the normal supply is unavailable.

Raw Feed — The original information recorded by the grid before the system cleans it up or turns it into an easier report.

Waveform — A line on a screen that shows how power changes over time.
