Was wenn ...
Insane🤯
"You never stop to amaze me, Mae. Following the first book, this one was even better. I can’t explain how it made me feel with words😭 Instead I’ll use emojis: 🫣🫠😫🤯💔😮💨 This book had it all. Love, lust, heartbreak, action and so on!!!!! Loved it, loved it, loved it!😍 The whole plot feels so genuine and true to how life really is and its struggles😫 I felt connected with a lot of it, mainly through Taylor:/ I can’t wait for to throw myself into boom 3. It’s going to be insane I’m sure. Oh by the way, the ending was absolute cinema🔥🥹🖤"
What If 2
"Ein sehr emotionales Buch. Bei den Spielen steht man mit im Stadion, die Autorin bringt die Stimmung sehr gut rüber. Im zwischenmenschlichen Bereich gibt es wie bei jedem Höhen und Tiefen, bis der ganz tiefe Fall kommt. Ein sehr trauriges Ende und meine Hoffnung liegt jetzt auf dem 3. Buch. Sehr empfehlenswert, vorher sollte der erste Band gelesen werden. 💖"
What if We hurt each other ❤️
"Der 2. Teil war auch sehr schön. Sehr emotional geschrieben. Teil🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶 "
TISSUES... TISSUES.. TISSUES.. 😭🤧❤️🩹
"I genuinely don’t even know where to begin with this one because I feel like I spent half of this book crying, the other half trying not to cry, and whatever little time was left smiling through the emotional damage Mae was causing me. 😭 If the first book touched my heart, this one grabbed it, squeezed it, threw it against a wall, picked it back up, gave it a little kiss and then proceeded to hurt it all over again.🫠 This second part of the What If series felt so much heavier and more emotionally intense than the first. There is so much pain, longing, love and heartbreak woven throughout this story, but somehow it never becomes nothing but sadness. There are still those little moments of warmth and happiness that make you smile like an idiot through your tears... although in my case they were probably drowning somewhere between my tissues and salty tears. 😭 And Jamie... oh my baby Jamie. 🤧💞 I already loved him from the beginning of the first book, but at this point I genuinely just want to pull this boy out of the pages and hug him. 😩He has officially become one of those characters I feel ridiculously protective over. Every emotion he feels somehow gets under my skin, and whenever he hurts, I HURT. His thoughts, his vulnerability, his love, his heartbreak... You write his emotions in such a raw and genuine way that I never feel like I’m simply watching him go through something. I feel like I’m going through it right beside him. Forever a Jamie girl. 🦋 And then there is Louis. LOUIS. 😭 The rational part of me understands him. I understand his fears, his decisions and why he keeps doing what he does. I really do. But the irrational, delusional, fiercely protective Jamie part of my brain also wanted to grab him through the screen several times and scream STOP BREAKING MY BOY’S HEART. 😭 Watching two people who so obviously and painfully love each other struggle this much was genuinely emotional torture. The pushing away, the longing, the fact that the love is STILL THERE underneath all that hurt... I swear these two put me through emotional whiplash over and over again. And apparently that wasn’t enough suffering for one book because then we have TAYLOR. I need to mention this girl again because she has completely won my heart. 😭💞 I love her SO much. She hit me way harder than I expected it to, and somehow I found myself hurting for her just as much. My sweet Tatti😩🤧❤️🩹Honestly, this entire book is heartbreak coming at you from every possible direction. Nobody is safe and apparently neither is the reader. But what I love so much about your writing Mae, is that I don’t only feel the heartbreak. I feel EVERYTHING. When they hurt, I hurt. When something beautiful happens, I’m sitting there silently smiling at my screen. When things get steamy... well. 🔥🔥🔥 And when someone makes a decision I don’t approve of, apparently I’m yelling at my phone like these people can actually hear me. 😂 Every emotion the characters experience somehow reaches you, and that is probably what made this book hit me as hard as it did. And then... LANDON. That’s all I’m saying because I’m not spoiling anything. 😂 But if you could have heard the noise I made during those last chapters... I had already had certain thoughts about him and Jamie in the first book, so let’s just say I was VERY normal and composed when certain things started happening. I was not normal and composed. I was screaming. 🤣😭 And somewhere along the way I accidentally binged around the last SIXTEEN chapters because apparently self-control stopped existing. I genuinely didn’t even realize I had reached the final chapter until suddenly there was nothing left to click. Excuse me??? WHERE IS THE REST, MAE??? 😭 I NEED to know what happens next. This book hurt more than the first. It was heavier, messier and so much more emotionally intense, but it was also full of love, warmth, chemistry, beautiful little moments and characters that somehow feel more real to me with every chapter. Mae, once again you’ve made me ridiculously emotionally attached to fictional people, except this time you also made me personally fund the tissue industry. I loved it. I suffered. I cried. I smiled. I screamed at my screen. I probably lost several years of my life because of Jamie and Louis alone. And I’d happily do it all over again. 😭❤️🦋 Now please excuse me while I go stare at the screen and wait very patiently and definitely not desperately for what comes next."
Perfect
"Jamie and Louis’s story is one of those rare books that feels alive. Pulsing with hurt, longing, and beautifully tangled emotions. The angst is so real it practically reaches out of the pages, and following their journey feels like holding your breath. It’s stunning, painful, and unforgettable. I am impatiently counting the days until the ending arrives."
What if... I can't get enough of the series?
"I know I'm early with the review, but fuck I'm heartbroken already. We have: 2 boys who are meant to be 1 girl falling for Jamie AND TRISTAN I will spend this book heartbroken and furious. I already know I will. AND I AM HERE FOR IT. Will update the review once the book is complete but: Damn, you have to read it! "
All the emotion!
"Lord knows I love Louis and Jamie. I will never understand how Ms Miller is so incredible talented at capturing the human experience. The Angst, the hurt, the frustration, the love. All of it captured in perfect, heart-wrenching detail. This book is so relatable that it makes you want to climb through the pages and live, love, and cry with Jamie and Louis. This story is the perfecty amount of running your heart over a cheese grater and then kissing it better. I will update my review when the book is complete but I already know it's going to be perfection."
