Despite this, Mary had always held a deep passion for gardening, and the idea of a world without flowers was unbearable for her. Determined to bring a bit of joy back into the lives around her, Mary decided to cultivate a secret garden in a hidden corner of the palace grounds. The Curse Princess

Chapter 1: The Curse Princess

Queen Annie has welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world, bringing immense joy to King James. The proud parents decided to name their delightful daughter Elizabeth, a name fit for a future queen. News of the little princess’s arrival spread throughout the kingdom, filling the hearts of the people with happiness and celebration. It was said that Princess Elizabeth was an exceptionally beautiful child, with sparkling eyes and a cheerful disposition that enchanted all who laid eyes on her.

As King James proudly paraded Princess Elizabeth before the citizens of the kingdom, sharing the wonderful news and basking in their collective joy, Queen Annie was experiencing a different sort of excitement. Unbeknownst to her husband, she was going through the intense stages of labor once again. The unexpected surprise of a second child was on the horizon, with the royal couple set to welcome another addition to their growing family. While the kingdom reveled in the happiness of their newest princess, a delightful mystery awaited just around the corner, leaving everyone eager to discover what the future held for the royal family.

As the kingdom rejoiced in the joyous occasion of Princess Elizabeth's birth, a dark cloud loomed over the festivities. An ominous figure, Ivy the witch, stormed into the grand castle with a fury that sent shivers down the spines of the revelers. King James, upon seeing her, felt a surge of anger boil within him.

“What business do you have here, you malevolent witch?” he demanded, his voice echoing through the halls.

“I come seeking vengeance!” Ivy shouted, her eyes blazing with fury. “Your wife’s aunt is the one responsible for the deaths of my dear sisters, and now she must face the consequences!”

King James, his patience wearing thin, retorted, “My wife is not to blame for the actions of Felicity! You are mistaken; Felicity is not Anne's aunt but rather her step-aunt!”

The witch’s face twisted in contempt. “That may be so, but her family carries the same dark blood. I will not rest until I see your daughter suffer for the sins of your kin! Mark my words: if Princess Elizabeth dares to step foot outside the castle, she will meet a dire fate!”

With a final, piercing scream, Ivy vanished into thin air, leaving behind a palpable tension and a foreboding threat that hung heavy in the air. King James stood frozen, the cruel implications of her curse weighing on his heart as he glanced towards the nursery where his newborn daughter lay, blissfully unaware of the danger lurking in the shadows.

The maid approached Queen Annie with a look of concern, relaying the troubling news about Ivy's ominous curse placed upon Princess Elizabeth. This revelation sent a wave of fear through the queen, who immediately worried for the safety of her second daughter. Deeply distressed yet determined to shield her child from the impending threat, Queen Annie made a poignant decision. She entrusted her precious daughter to her brother, Eric, and his wife, Monica, believing they would provide the love and protection needed.

Monica and Eric had faced significant struggles in their quest to have children of their own, feeling the weight of expectation and heartache over the years. As they prepared to return to their home in Mississippi, a sense of hope blossomed within them. They planned to introduce the baby as their own, fully aware of the delicate situation surrounding the child’s true lineage.

Meanwhile, King James remained blissfully unaware of the existence of their second daughter. Queen Annie resolved to keep this secret hidden for now, believing that it was in her daughter’s best interest. She decided she would only reveal the truth when the time was right—when her daughter was old enough to understand and navigate the complexities of her lineage. The queen knew that protecting her child from the curse that loomed over them was paramount, and so she prepared for the challenges that lay ahead, committed to ensuring her daughter could grow up safe and loved, away from any dark omen that threatened her future.

King James was deeply troubled, tormented by the fear for his daughter Elizabeth’s safety. Ever since the ominous curse cast upon her by Ivy, the witch, his heart had been heavy with dread. In his desperation, he sought the counsel of another witch, named Chloe, hoping she might offer a solution to safeguard his beloved daughter.

Upon arriving at Chloe’s dwelling, King James poured out his heart. “My daughter, Princess Elizabeth, is in grave danger,” he explained, his voice trembling with concern. “Ivy’s curse threatens her life, and I am at my wit's end to find a way to protect her.”

Chloe listened intently before responding, “The only way to ensure Princess Elizabeth’s safety is to confine her within the castle walls until she reaches the age of 18. Only then will the curse lose its power.”

King James’s face flushed with anger as he exclaimed, “I cannot imprison my own daughter! She deserves to live freely, to experience the world outside these castle walls.” His heart ached at the thought of depriving Elizabeth of a normal childhood filled with laughter and adventure.

Chloe, equally frustrated, insisted once more, “That is the only way to shield her from the curse's harm! You must consider the potential consequences if you do not act. Trust me, this is the safest option.”

Despite his mounting frustration, King James recognized the wisdom in Chloe's words. His heart sank as the reality settled in; if keeping Elizabeth locked away was the only way to protect her, he might have to bear the burden of her confinement. The thought filled him with sorrow, knowing that he was about to shatter her dreams of a carefree life.

Princess Elizabeth was under constant watch, with an array of guards assigned to ensure her safety and comfort. Even in the most private moments, such as when she needed to use the bathroom, her ladies-in-waiting were always by her side, ready to attend to her needs. Meanwhile, King James and Queen Annie were dedicated to doing everything possible to bring joy to their beloved daughter. They made a promise to Princess Elizabeth that once she turned 18, the family would embark on an unforgettable trip together, during which she could choose the destination of her dreams.

Amidst this royal protection and planning, King James had been trying to track down a figure named Ivy, for whom he had issued a warrant for arrest. Despite his efforts, Ivy had managed to evade capture, leaving everyone perplexed and anxious about her whereabouts. In the midst of these challenges, Chloe stood steadfast as a guardian to Princess Elizabeth, making sure that her safety remained a top priority while keeping the princess's spirits high.
