Chapter 1: The Girl Who Remembered Tomorrow
Lena woke up at exactly 6:17 a.m.
Her heart was racing.
For a few seconds, she couldn't remember where she was. She stared at the ceiling, trying to catch her breath while the last pieces of her dream slowly disappeared.
A school hallway.
Rain against the windows.
A boy standing alone.
And a voice whispering her name.
“Lena…”
She sat up.
Then came the strange part.
She remembered tomorrow.
In her dream, the boy had looked at her with sad eyes and said, “Whatever happens tomorrow, don't remember me.”
Lena shook her head.
It was only a dream.
She had been having strange dreams for years. Sometimes they showed small things—a teacher dropping a stack of papers, her mother calling at exactly eight o'clock, a glass falling from the kitchen table.
At first, she thought they were coincidences.
Then she started writing them down.
And they always happened.
Lena reached for the notebook beside her bed and opened it.
On the last page, she wrote:
6:17 a.m.
Dream: Rain. School hallway. Unknown boy. He told me not to remember him.
She stared at the sentence.
Something about the dream felt different.
Usually, her dreams were blurry. This one wasn't.
She could remember the boy's face.
Dark hair.
A small scar near his eyebrow.
And eyes that looked like they had been waiting for her for a very long time.
Lena closed the notebook.
“Forget it.”
She got ready for school.
By 7:30, the dream had almost disappeared from her thoughts.
Almost.
---
The morning seemed completely normal.
The sky was bright, the streets were busy, and students crowded the school entrance.
Lena walked through the gate with her best friend, Mia.
“You look tired,” Mia said.
“I had a weird dream.”
“Again?”
Lena nodded.
Mia laughed. “One day, you're going to tell me you dreamed about winning the lottery.”
“I wouldn't complain.”
They laughed together.
Then Lena stopped walking.
Her smile disappeared.
Rain.
The dream had shown rain.
But the sky above them was perfectly clear.
“What's wrong?” Mia asked.
“Nothing.”
Lena forced herself to keep walking.
She told herself she was imagining things.
Then the school bell rang.
---
Their first class was English.
Lena sat near the window while their teacher prepared something on the board.
A few minutes later, the principal walked into the classroom.
Everyone became quiet.
“We have a new student joining us today,” the principal announced.
Lena barely looked up.
Until she heard the boy's voice.
“Good morning.”
Her heart stopped.
She slowly raised her eyes.
A boy stood beside the principal.
Dark hair.
White school uniform.
A backpack hanging from one shoulder.
And a small scar near his eyebrow.
Lena couldn't breathe.
It was him.
The boy from her dream.
The same face.
The same eyes.
The same expression.
For a moment, the entire classroom seemed to disappear.
The boy looked around the room.
Then his eyes found hers.
They stared at each other.
And Lena felt a strange sensation in her chest.
Not fear.
Not exactly.
Something much worse.
Recognition.
As if she had met him before.
But she knew she hadn't.
The teacher smiled.
“Everyone, this is Noah Carter. Please make him feel welcome.”
Noah nodded politely.
The teacher looked around the classroom.
“There is an empty seat beside Lena.”
Lena's eyes widened.
Mia immediately looked at her with a grin.
Noah walked toward them.
Each step felt impossibly slow.
He stopped beside Lena's desk.
“Is this seat taken?”
Lena couldn't answer.
Noah waited.
“Lena?” Mia whispered.
She finally shook her head.
“No.”
Noah sat beside her.
For several seconds, neither of them spoke.
Then Noah quietly said something that made Lena's blood run cold.
“I've seen you before.”
Lena turned toward him.
“What?”
Noah looked at the teacher.
“Never mind.”
Lena stared at him.
She wanted to ask what he meant, but the teacher started the lesson.
She tried to concentrate.
She couldn't.
Her mind kept returning to the dream.
The hallway.
The rain.
Noah.
And his warning.
Whatever happens tomorrow, don't remember me.
She looked at him again.
He was staring out the window.
Then, without turning his head, he whispered:
“Don't tell anyone about your dreams.”
Lena froze.
Her pen slipped from her fingers.
It hit the floor.
Noah finally looked at her.
His expression had completely changed.
He wasn't smiling anymore.
“How do you know about my dreams?” Lena whispered.
Noah didn't answer.
Instead, he leaned closer.
“Because I have them too.”
A sudden clap of thunder shook the classroom.
Everyone turned toward the windows.
Lena stared outside.
Dark clouds had appeared over the school.
Then the rain began.
Exactly like her dream.
Her hands started trembling.
Mia looked at her.
“Lena? Are you okay?”
Lena couldn't answer.
She looked at Noah.
He was already watching her.
And for the first time, Lena understood something terrifying.
Her dreams weren't simply showing her the future.
Someone else was seeing it too.
