Part One: A Royal Engagement
There was a harsh wind that had settled on the Kingdom of Harvea. A wind that sounded as if it was a five year old girl screaming. There was something so uncomfortable by the way it blew in the faces of the townsfolk out in the village. Even they felt it—but this isn’t about them is what the king would say.
If he wasn’t bed-ridden with illness. His sweet Greemia was at his side. Pressing warm rags to his forehead. Even the King’s doctor couldn’t get him right—and so there was no need for him to be there.
“My love” King Ezzet took his wife’s hands. “There is much I must discuss with you.”
She stared at him. “It can wait.”
“It musn’t” Ezzet argued. “We don’t know if a tomorrow is guaranteed.” He sighed, sadly. “The teller told me I would pass at the end of a day like this.” He smiled at her. “That on any day like this where the wind is violent and unpredictable to watch out for my early death, and I fear today may be the day death will find me.”
“It will not.”
“You must go through with what we discussed” Ezzet told her. “In order for the kingdom to stay in our family name you must—the teller said so.”
“I don’t want us to do that” Greemia argued. “Staven and Vadeena can not marry. They are brother and sister.”
“The teller has predicted everything else and they’ve been right about it all” Ezzet said. “If you don’t do it he’ll marry a whore—someone not worthy of the position and I refuse to let a prostitute be Queen. You must protect our boy from bringing shame upon the title of King. And if you do this they both stay here and we won’t have to marry our girl off to another Ruler from a different kingdom, she’ll get to stay.”
Greemia closed her eyes as a tear slipped down her cheeks. “You can’t leave me.”
“I can’t control it” Ezzet said, reaching up to cup her cheeks with his left hand. He grinned. “When it’s your turn come find me in Teebia’s Slumber. I’ll be the one acting as Lord Cunniska’s most favorite servent.”
Greemia opened her eyes and leaned down to him, capturing his lips as she took as many mental paintings as she could. Of his jaw line, of the way his body was built with muscles and rolls on his abdomen—she didn’t want to forget how kind his heart was but she didn’t want to forget how he felt inside her, either.
Her tongue swirled around his and she took in the bumps she had grown accostumed to. She wanted to remember it as long as she could—so she could savor it on the days she would miss him most.
She placed her hand on his chest as their lips broke from one another. She laid down agaisnt his chest as she cried into it.
His hands ran through her hair and he smiled. It was a sad smile—knowing he didn’t have much longer to be doing such a thing. “It’s alright. You may remarry after me.”
“No” She sniffled against his nipples. “I could never do that. I won’t do that. There is no love like this.”
“You must tell them after I’m gone because he’ll have to be King” He said. “I know you aren’t for this—but it is the only way, and you know that it is.”
Greemia lifted herself and she nodded. She wiped away her tears. “I know.”
There was a glassy look in his eyes, and he asked. “Do you believe it?”
“Believe what, my love?”
“That the world was much more than this” He said. “All those stories the elders told us about those boxes with the black circles that moved you from place to place, or about those birds in the sky that people would get on or that machines could let you discover the literature on them—do you believe that before all of this there was that?”
“No” She forced a smile. “It doesn’t seem likely.”
“Keep our boy and our girl in line” He told her. “Make sure they marry well.”
She touched his face and nodded. “I will.”
And then the lighting struck and he was gone, and the storm cleared. With the end of the storm her husband had passed over and went on up to Lord Cunniska in Teebia’s Slumber. It felt as if her heart had genuinely been ripped from her chest, and she couldn’t help but despise the Lord in that moment for taking away the one person she had always loved.
But she quickly shook away the anger and swore to never think such things again, and then she laid down beside her husband. She placed her hands on his chest as she drifted into a dream where things were different.

Princess Vadeena had gone out to see the market and bought herself a blanket that had been sewn together by an elderly woman. She had gifted the woman tripple what it was worth—something her Princess Guard pointed out—but he quickly realized that was what she was aiming for. There were many that Vadeena wanted to check in on with. That was why she had been told she was the kindest Princess to ever live in the castle because they had never known a more soft of heart woman than they did with Vadeena.
“King Ezzet and Queen Greemia have raised her well!” was always what she’d hear them say. But Father had never had the time for her so it wasn’t truthful. It was something she’d never correct them on because despite that she did care for her father and all that he did to keep them safe in the castle.
“Princess” One of the maids came running down the hill that led to the market. She stood at the edge of the hill and swallowed hard. “The Queen is requesting your prescence in her and your father’s chambers.”
It was an odd thing because she had never been in her father and mother’s chambers. It was only a space for them—and it was something that Vadeena had never thought about. She knew better than to keep her mother waiting. There was a sadness to the maid’s voice and so Vadeena knew there must be trouble.
Her Guard grabbed her hand and helped her step up the stone steps that would help her get up the hill quicker. She held her blanket close against her chest and looked back at her Guard—and he smiled at her. He always did, and she would always feel a funny feeling in her heart at the way his green eyes looked into her as if it was searching for her very soul.
It was silent for the walk. She wanted to ask somebody if they knew the urgency but they wouldn’t know. The one maid knew because she had been sent to tell her, and if she would’ve said anything she would’ve been out of the castle within the hour—and Vadeena knew nobody would risk losing such a position. It wasn’t King or Queen but it was something the lowest of the townsfolk viewed as impressive and exceptional.
They came to a stop at door that would lead to her father and mother’s chambers. She pushed a strand of her curly blond hair behind her ear as her Guard knocked and waited for a response. A second later it opened and she was let in.
“I won’t be long” She told her Guard. “I would like to go back down to the market after this. I would like another blanket.”
He nodded. “Of course, Princess.”
The door closed as her Guard and her mother’s Queen’s Guard stood outside it, keeping out anybody that would dare try to get close.
Vadeena’s eyes went to the bed where her father laid lifeless, and she turned to her mother who was standing. It was clear that her mother had been crying and so Vadeena went to comfort her or to get comfort—but her mother held her at arms length.
“We have much to discuss, Vadeena” Greemia told her. “But first we must wait on your brother—it shouldn’t be too long.”
Vadeena shook her head. “But we could be waiting a long time.” She looked over at where her father lied and tears threatened to spill. They weren’t close because he had always been too busy for her but she loved him. “How did it happen?”
“The storm came just like the teller told him it would” Greemia said, honestly. “And by the end of it he was gone.”
Vadeena walked over to the seat by the bed and sat down in it. She grabbed her father’s hand and squeezed. “Oh, Father.”
The last thing she expected was this. When he had fell ill she had been sure he would make a full recovery like all the other times he had. That he’d back to his podium by the end of the week—but instead she couldn’t feel any breathing inside his body. His chest was moving up and down the way most did—it was stuck in place. He wasn’t cold, he still felt hot but she knew that wouldn’t last long. In a few hours he’d be as cold as the wind had been.

Prince Staven had his personal maid spread out on his bed as his tongue was in her. He licked against her folds and pressed his tongue deeper, and his maid Greva cried out as she could feel his tongue moving within her at a quickened pace.
“Oh!” She fisted the sheet below her.
His hands went up to her breasts and he squeezed them. They weren’t as big as he would like but they felt nice, and he circled his fingers around her nipples as he fucked her with his tongue. Her moans became louder as she pulled at his curly hair.
“Oh my—” She whimpered.
He pulled his tongue out of her and smirked before replaced it with his cock. She gasped as she could feel him breaking past all her barriers—before this she had never been touched and now she couldn’t even think as he slammed inside her.
“Oh, fuck!” She cried.
“You feel so good” He massaged her breast as he hit against her spot already. He didn’t care if he was hurting her. He only cared for his own pleasure and that was he was chasing after. “Like a river.”
There was a knock at the door but he shook his head. “Fuck away. I’m occupied with a maid cunt.” He was sure it was just another message from his father about how he had to stop fucking the maids, but Staven didn’t give it any importance.
“Yeah tighten around me” He wrapped his hand around her throat as he pounded against her sensitive part. “Yeah. Do that.”
“Your grace” He could hear his Guard calling. “I’m sorry to disrupt—”
“Then don’t!” Staven snapped as he rubbed her clit as he hit against her core. “I will call on you when I fucking feel like it.”
“But your Grace—”
Greva cried out as she came around his cock, unable to handle what he was doing to her. He smiled down at her and he nodded as the bed rocked against the wooden walls—and he couldn’t hold back. He pulled out and hovered his cock over her face, cumming all over it.
“Your Grace” He could hear. “It’s your father. Your mother needs to see you in her chambers.”
“Alright” Staven snapped. “Give me a second to put on my cloths.” He leaned over the maid, smearing his cum all over her face. He had a wicked grin plastered to his face. “Don’t leave—because when I get back I’m going to use you again.”
He pulled on his cloths and opened his door. He closed it behind him and then followed behind his Guard. The last thing he wanted was to be around his parents. It was always the same judgements from his father—and that was the last thing he wanted to hear. He was sure he’d never be King with how little his father respected him, but he stopped caring about that long ago.
Coming into his mother and father’s chambers was strange. There was a feeling of loss and the second he looked over at the bed he knew why. He swallowed hard, “What happened to Father?”
“He went with the storm” Greemia said. “He was ready to go but that’s not why I wanted you both to be here.”
Soft spoken Vadeena looked over from the seat she was in. “Then why?”
“You must marry” She looked from her daughter to her son. “The teller has said it and you know he is never wrong.”
“I’ll find a wife” Staven shrugged. “It won’t be hard. I can find one before the day’s even up. I could go get the maid I just fucked. She could be my Queen.”
Her husband had been right. He really wasn’t going to pick someone who would be worthy. Greemia shook her head. “No. You misunderstand. You two are to marry one another.”
Vadeena was uncomfortable by that. “...what?”
“Why would we?” Staven questioned. “There hasn’t been an incest marriage in the kingdom for a hundred years.”
“The teller said it is to be” Greemia told them both. “That our kingdom would prosper with a union between the two of you.” She sighed, sadly. “I’m not too happy with it but it is what the teller said, and he has never led your father astray before so it must be done.”
“But mother—”
“But nothing” Greemia raised her voice at her daughter. “It was your father’s dying wish and so it shall be done. You two from this moment on are engaged to be married, and that is final.”
