Bound To My Nightmare

The next three months of school went by in an instant. Anton truly never interacted with me. Over the summer dad wanted us to get away and just be a family. We even brought Dalton with us. He took us on a cross-country road trip. Me and Lila were enjoying ourselves for the first time in a long time. We were back at the hotel when Lila came into my room.

Lila: Soooo? Meet any cute guys?

Me: I'm not doing long distance.

Lila: Or is it you're not doing anything because of Anton?

Me: Lila please.

Lila: We're on vacation. Have some fun!

Me: I don't know if you have it too, but I'm marked.

Lila: Like a wolf?

Me: Yeah. Marked but not claimed.

Lila: make that make sense.

Me: I don't know it's what dad told me.

Lila: Dad's lying.

Me: No, he's not.

She pulls out one of the books I never got around to reading called multi-shifter for dummies. She flips to the mating part.

Lila: Relax there's no nudes in it.

She searches until she finds the part.

Lila. Right here. It says a multi-shifter is marked when they allow it. They are not born marked.

Me: So, I'm claimed already? By who?

Lila: Someone wanted to lock it down.

Me: Dad said I've had it forever.

Lila: I don't know but someone already claimed that pussy.

I cover my ears and she starts laughing then looks at me. She grabs my hands and moves them away from my ear.

Lila: You're a virgin?

Her saying that reminds me of when Anton called me that. She keeps looking at me and I don't answer.

Lila: You can't be serious.

Me: I want my first time to be special.

Lila: That's so sweet...and boring. Live a little!

Me: Not like that!

Lila: I lost mine.

Me: To who?!

Lila: Not Anton. Thank God!

Me: Can you please stop mentioning him?

Lila: Sorry.

She throws her hands in the air. I remember the last time we somewhat talked to each other. He gave me no deals on the project, and I basically had to fill in the blanks myself since he would tell me and thing about it. We ended up getting the assignment perfect. After that, he switched to a different class.

Lila: Let's go have fun.

She starts pulling me out of bed. Dad and Dalton were out playing golf and then planned on having drinks later. There was a club at the hotel we were staying at. Lila throws on a really short dress.

Me: What are you wearing?!

Lila: A dress. You own some you know.

Me: Not that short! I can almost see--.!

Lila: My ass cheeks? I know!

Me: Dad and Dalton would kill you!

Lila: Only if someone snitches. Like a certain goodie goodie sister named Dia.

She tosses a dress at me. I look at her.

Me: I'm not wearing something like that! I can't!

Lila: Can't or won't?

Me: Both. I won't wear it. And I can't because of my marking. I have too many animals on me.

Lila: you know how I hide mine? Call them tattoos silly.

Me: I'll stick to my usual look.

Lila: Ugh! Why are you such a stick in the mud?

Me: Because I'm clearly the responsible one.

Lila: And the boring one.

Me: HEY!

Lila: Well, have fun Ms. Responsible. I going to have fun.

She leaves and I hear the door close. I look down at the dress she tossed at me. I hold it against my chest. It was a really pretty dress, and it was just this one time. I put the dress on and head to the club. When I walk in the music was pumping and the room was crowd. I keep pulling the dress down as it kept rising up with each step. I feel a hand tap me on the shoulder.

Guy: Haven't I seen you before?

Me: N-no.

Guy: I could have sworn we were just talking.

He steps closer when Lila moves in front of me.

Lila: Back off my sister.

He looks between the two of us.

Guy: Well, isn't today my lucky day.

Lila lets out a soft laugh.

Lila: It was until you said that pervert. Come on sis.

She grabs my hand and we head to the dance floor. She starts dancing. I just stand there.

Lila: Loosen up!

She starts moving and I awkwardly sway to the music. She laughs which makes me still.

Lila: You're getting there. Keep going.

I laugh and she spins me around. I turn around and bump into a fully shift werewolf.

Me: Ah! Sorry!

He looks me up and down.

Werewolf: You can bump into me anytime sweetheart.

His voice was deep and rugged. He walks off leaving me stunned. Lila pulls me back to her and starts laughing.

Lila: Got a thing for furry boys huh?

Me: As if!

Lila: Sorry I got it wrong. The furry boy has a thing for you.

She points behind me. When I turn around, the werewolf guy was still looking at me. I give a shy wave and turn back to Lila and let out a squeal.

Me: What do I do?!

Lila: Talk to him or stay with me. Either way sis that lets you know people have eyes for you, and you don't need to be hung up on someone that doesn't want you.

Suddenly there was a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and the werewolf was standing there. He holds a hand out to me.

Werewolf: Damien.

Me: Dia.

I shake his hand.

Damien: Want to dance?

Lila: She would love too.

She pushes me into him and dances away.

Damien: Sister?

Me: Twin sister.

He laughs and leads me to the dance floor. I just sway to the music.

Damien: Not much of a dancer?

Me: it's like a foreign language to me.

Damien: I get that.

We're having fun dancing the night away when My phone starts ringing. I look to see it was dad.

Me: Excuse me for a second.

I step away and answer.

Me: Hi dad.

Dad: Hey sweetheart. Me and Dalton are on our way back to the room. See you girls in a few minutes.

Me: Ok.

I hang up and get ready to head back to Damien when I look down at my clothes. They were going to kill us! I get ready to run off when Damien grabs my arm.

Damien: Everything ok?

Me: I need to find my sister! We have to go!

Damien: Well can I get your number?

Me: I-I r--.

Damien: Well, here's mine.

He writes his number on my hand and kisses it.

Damien: Text me anytime.

He walks off. I freeze then remember I need to find Lila. When I find her, she was making out with some boy. I grab her arm.

Lila: What's the deal?

Me: We need to go! Dad and Dalton are on their way back to the room.

Lila: It's been fun but we gotta go!

She grabs my hand and he take off back to the room. We get there before dad and Dalton. We rush to my room when the door opens again. I look to Lila and she points to the bed. We climb under the covers, pulling them up to our necks. WE pretend to sleep when we hear the door creak open.

Dalton: Such good kids.

The door closes back. We open our eyes at the same time and quietly laugh. That was the craziest yet funniest thing I had ever done.
