Chapter 5:LOVE, HEARTBREAK AND NEW BEGINNINGS
As I entered another stage of my life, I began to understand love differently.
Like many young women, I dreamed of finding someone who would love me, respect me, support me, and choose me every day. I believed that when two people truly cared about each other, they would face life's difficulties together.
When I eventually opened my heart to love, I gave it sincerely. I did not know how to love halfway. When I cared about someone, I cared deeply. I gave my time, my attention, my loyalty, and my support.
There were beautiful moments. Moments that made me believe I had finally found something worth holding onto.
But life slowly showed me that love and happiness do not always come together.
There were moments of disappointment and confusion. I began experiencing situations that made me question whether the love I was giving was being returned in the same way.
I tried to understand. I tried to be patient. I told myself that every relationship has difficult seasons and that things could eventually become better.
Sometimes, when you love someone deeply, you hold onto the good memories because you don't want to believe that something you once dreamed about could become something that hurts you.
I learned that heartbreak does not always happen because love disappears. Sometimes your heart breaks because you realize that love alone cannot fix everything.
There were moments when I felt lost between holding on and letting go.
Still, I kept hoping.
I believed that perhaps life was simply teaching me something I had not yet understood.
And while I was trying to understand love, I was also learning how important it was to understand myself.
I didn't know it then, but the hardest part of my journey was still ahead
