"This book opens with a bang and doesn't slow down. Not my usual genre but I was so absorbed by the story that I stayed up reading it. The action and drama in the beginning draws you in, and I really had to know what happened to the characters. You don't get too much about the main characters to start but as you go you realise how much depth they have. The fantasy, mythology elements were also easy to follow for someone who's more of a contemporary fiction reader. The consistency in the emotional arcs, family drama and overall themes made this an engaging read. I don't want to give too much away but if you are looking for some drama, action, some undertones of humour at parts I highly recommend this novella. "
Loved it
"I really enjoyed this book. It was compelling, emotional and had a level of lore and description that really appealed to me. Personally I have no issue with a female character having a male wolf. Everything made sense and created a believable world, the strength of the female lead was great and the lure of the ancient. I’m excited to see what happens with the trials of the south and what Is next for our leads, hopefully they finally honour the blood bond. I’m looking forward to seeing what else this author writes"

"I have to admit that it took a bit of focus for me to remember who is who at the beginning. However this story did not disappoint. I would love to read the rest of it."
Short but sweet
"It was good I guess. There is so much more that could have been explored. I want to know why he felt the blood-pull and she didn't. I didn't like thay Aurum was female, then male, and kept being switched. For a story this short, I feel as though it would easy to keep track of Aurum's pronouns and gender. I loved the style of storytelling and would love more."
