Chapter 1 – Rain and the First Claiming
The monsoon had turned Dehradun soft and dangerous.
Clouds hung low over the valley, heavy and bruised, releasing a steady curtain of warm rain that slicked the roads and darkened the deodar trunks until they looked almost black. The air smelled of wet earth, pine resin, and the faint metallic tang of the rain itself. On the university campus the pathways had become shallow streams. Students hurried between buildings with bags held over their heads, laughing or cursing depending on how soaked they already were.
Arjun Malhotra walked with his head down, one hand gripping the strap of his messenger bag, the other trying to keep his glasses clear. He was in the final year of his commerce degree, twenty-two years old, lean in the way of someone who had never quite filled out. Fair-skinned, almost pale against the greenery, with sharp cheekbones, a straight nose, and dark eyes that tended to observe more than they participated. His hair was black and slightly too long, curling at the nape of his neck whenever it got wet. He was handsome in a quiet, refined way—the kind of face that looked good in soft light and better when he smiled, which was not often enough.
He did not hear the motorcycle until it was almost on top of him.
The deep, throaty growl of an old Royal Enfield cut through the rain like a warning. Arjun’s head snapped up just as the bike came around the curve of the internal road, rear wheel sliding a fraction on the wet tarmac before the rider corrected with effortless precision. The front tyre stopped less than a metre from his knees. Water sprayed across his trousers and the lower half of his shirt.
For a moment the only sound was the ticking of the cooling engine and the soft hiss of rain on leather.
The rider planted both boots on the ground, killed the engine, and lifted the dark visor of a matte-black helmet.
Tara Chauhan.
Even through the rain and the slight fog on his glasses, Arjun recognised her. Everyone on campus did. She was in the final year of the management programme, the girl who treated the university gym like her personal kingdom and the winding roads above Dehradun like her private racetrack. Fair-skinned like him, but where his fairness looked delicate, hers looked luminous against the black of her riding gear. Her face was striking—high cheekbones, a full mouth that rarely smiled without an edge, and dark eyes that assessed everything with calm intensity. Her black hair was braided thickly and tucked into the collar of a battered leather jacket that had seen years of rain and road. Beneath the jacket her shoulders were broad, her posture aggressively upright even while straddling the bike. The rain had soaked through her jeans, moulding the fabric to thighs that were thick with dense muscle, the kind of power that came from heavy squats, deadlifts, and years of hill sprints rather than vanity.
She studied him for a long second. Rain beaded on the curve of her lower lip and traced a slow path down her chin.
“You planning to keep standing in the middle of the road,” she asked, voice low and slightly rough from disuse, “or are you going to move?”
Arjun realised he was still frozen. He stepped aside quickly, almost slipping on the wet concrete. “Sorry. I didn’t hear you until—”
“Until I almost decorated the front of my bike with you.” She flipped the visor all the way up. Her eyes were darker up close, steady, not unkind but far from soft. “Commerce side, right? I’ve seen you in the library. You stare.”
Heat crawled up Arjun’s neck and into his ears. He had stared. It was hard not to. Tara moved through the campus like she owned the ground she walked on. In the library she would sit with one ankle crossed over the opposite knee, pencil tapping against a notebook, the sleeves of her T-shirt stretched around the solid curves of her upper arms. He had watched the way those arms flexed when she reached for books on high shelves. He had watched the easy power in her stride when she left the gym, hair damp, headphones in, expression distant and self-contained.
“I don’t stare,” he said, which was a lie, and they both knew it.
Tara’s mouth curved. Not quite a smile. Something sharper. “You do. It’s fine. Most people do.” She glanced at the sky, at the rain that showed no sign of thinning. “You heading toward the hostels?”
“Yes.”
“Get on.”
It was not an offer. It was an instruction delivered in the same tone she probably used when she told the boys in the gym to clear a bench or add more weight.
Arjun hesitated only a second. Then he swung his leg over the pillion seat of the old Enfield. The seat was narrow and slightly worn. There was nowhere to put his hands except on her. His palms settled at her waist, feeling the solid heat of her body through the damp leather and the thin shirt underneath. She was hard with muscle. Not soft anywhere. The contrast with his own lean frame was immediate and startling.
Tara flipped the visor down, kicked the bike into life, and opened the throttle.
The Enfield surged forward with a deep, vibrating roar that travelled straight up through the seat and into Arjun’s bones. She did not take the careful route through campus. She cut toward the back gate and out onto the road that climbed toward the older part of town, where the trees grew denser and the traffic thinned to almost nothing. Rain lashed at them sideways. Water streamed off her shoulders and onto his hands. Every time she shifted her weight into a turn, the powerful muscles of her back and waist flexed under his palms.
He should have been cold. Instead he was burning.
Tara rode the way she seemed to do everything else—directly, with controlled aggression. The bike leaned hard into the curves. The engine note rose and fell like a pulse. She took a left onto a narrower road that wound upward through a corridor of deodars, the canopy thick enough to turn the rain into a fine, continuous mist. The air grew cooler. The smell of wet earth and resin intensified. By the time she finally slowed and pulled off onto a quiet stretch of road bordered by tall trees, Arjun’s heart was hammering against his ribs and his cock was half-hard against the seam of his trousers, the vibration of the bike and the heat of her body having done their work without permission.
Tara killed the engine. The sudden silence felt loud. Rain ticked against the leaves overhead and dripped from the ends of her braid. She removed her helmet, hung it on the handlebar, and turned as much as the bike allowed so she could look at him over her shoulder.
Water ran down the side of her neck and disappeared into the open collar of her jacket. Up close she was even more striking. There was a small scar near her left eyebrow, pale against her fair skin. Her lashes were wet and clumped. Her mouth looked like it knew how to give orders and how to make people grateful for them.
“You’re shaking,” she observed.
“It’s cold.”
“No it isn’t.” She reached back, caught one of his wrists, and guided his hand higher under the edge of her jacket until his palm rested against the bare, rain-chilled skin of her side. Muscle. Smooth and solid and warm beneath the surface coolness. “Feel that? I’m warm. You’re shaking for a different reason.”
Arjun’s throat worked. He did not pull his hand away. He could feel the steady expansion of her breathing, the dense layer of muscle over her ribs. His own body felt almost fragile in comparison.
Tara’s gaze dropped briefly to his lap, then returned to his face. The corner of her mouth lifted with quiet satisfaction.
“Get off the bike.”
He did. His legs felt unsteady, the ground strangely still after the long vibration of the ride. Tara swung off with easy strength, stood the Enfield on its stand, and walked him backward with nothing more than the pressure of her presence until his back met the rough trunk of a deodar. Rain filtered through the canopy in cold threads that traced paths down his face and neck. She braced one hand on the tree beside his head and used the other to grip his jaw—not hard enough to hurt, but firm enough that he could not look away. Her palm was slightly calloused. Her fingers were strong.
“I’ve watched you watch me for months,” she said quietly. The rain almost swallowed the words, but not quite. “In the library. Outside the gym. Across the cafeteria. You look at me like you’re trying to decide whether you want to run or get on your knees.” Her thumb brushed the corner of his mouth, smearing a raindrop. “Which is it?”
Arjun’s voice came out rougher than he expected. “I don’t want to run.”
“Good.”
She kissed him.
There was nothing tentative about it. Tara kissed the way she rode—taking what she wanted, setting the pace, using the advantage of her height and strength. She was only a couple of centimetres taller than him in her boots, but the difference in power was absolute. One of her thighs pressed between his, solid and unyielding, and he could feel the dense muscle of it even through the wet denim. When he made a low sound against her mouth she smiled into the kiss and bit his lower lip just hard enough to sting. The slight pain sent a jolt of heat straight down his spine.
Her hand left his jaw and dragged down his chest, over the soaked fabric of his shirt, mapping the lean lines of him with deliberate thoroughness. She pinched one nipple through the cloth hard enough to make him gasp, then continued lower until her palm cupped him through his trousers. She squeezed once, proprietary, feeling the hard shape of him.
“Hard already,” she murmured against his mouth. “From a ride and a conversation. That’s going to make things interesting.”
Arjun’s hips jerked forward involuntarily. She pushed him back against the tree with her body and kept her hand exactly where it was, stroking him slowly through the wet fabric while she kissed him again, deeper this time. Her tongue slid against his, unhurried and sure. Rain slid down both their faces and into their mouths. The smell of wet leather, petrol, pine, and her skin filled his head until he could barely think.
When she finally pulled back, her breathing was only slightly elevated. His was wrecked. His glasses were fogged and streaked. She reached up and carefully removed them, folding them and tucking them into the inner pocket of her jacket without looking away from his face.
“Turn around.”
He stared at her for a second, rain running into his eyes. She raised one eyebrow, waiting. The command sat in the air between them, simple and absolute. Something in Arjun’s chest pulled tight with a mixture of nerves and sharp, disbelieving arousal. He turned and braced his hands on the rough bark of the deodar. The tree was wide and solid. Moss and rain-slick wood pressed against his palms.
Behind him he heard the soft sound of a belt being unbuckled, the rustle of wet fabric, the quiet click of something being adjusted. Then her body pressed against his back—solid, warm, unmistakable in its strength. One of her arms snaked around his waist, holding him in place with casual power. The other hand worked his belt open, popped the button of his trousers, and pushed the wet fabric down just far enough along with his underwear. Cool air touched his skin. His cock sprang free, already flushed and leaking, the rain feeling almost cold against the overheated flesh.
Tara’s mouth was at his ear, her breath warm.
“I’ve been thinking about this since the first time I caught you staring at my arms in the library,” she said, voice low and calm. “Wanted to know if you’d go quiet and soft for me like this. Wanted to feel how lean you are under all those neat shirts.” Her hand slid over his hip, then further back. Slick fingers—spit or the small bottle of lube she must have carried—circled his entrance with patient pressure. “Breathe out.”
He did. She pushed one finger inside him in a slow, steady slide.
Arjun’s breath left him in a sharp exhale. The intrusion was strange and intense and immediately overwhelming. Tara’s arm stayed locked around his waist, holding him exactly where she wanted him while her finger worked him open with ruthless patience. She added a second finger when he had adjusted enough, scissoring carefully, curling until she found the spot that made his knees threaten to buckle. When she pressed against it deliberately, a broken sound tore out of his throat.
“There,” she murmured, satisfied. “That’s the place.” She worked him steadily, not rushing, letting the rain and the isolation and the sheer unreality of the moment sink into his bones. “You’re tight. But you’re taking it. Good.”
Arjun could only nod, forehead pressed to his forearm against the bark. His cock hung heavy and untouched between his legs, dripping steadily onto the wet leaf litter. Every movement of her fingers sent sparks up his spine. The muscles of her forearm flexed against his abdomen as she fucked him with her hand. He had never felt so aware of the difference in their bodies—her dense, trained power against his leaner frame.
When she finally withdrew her fingers he almost protested at the loss. Then he felt the blunt, thick head of something else pressing against him. He turned his head. Over his shoulder he saw that she had freed herself from her own jeans just enough. A dark, realistic strap-on was harnessed securely around her hips, already glistening with lube. The dildo was thick and veined, not oversized but substantial enough that his body clenched instinctively at the sight.
Tara caught his look and held it. There was no apology in her expression. Only heat and absolute certainty.
“I carry it sometimes,” she said simply. “When I feel like the day might go a certain way. Today felt like that kind of day the moment I saw you standing in the road looking lost.” She pressed forward. The thick head stretched him open. “Breathe out for me.”
He did. She pushed in with steady, controlled force, one long slide that forced a broken moan out of him, until her hips were flush against him and he was full, aching, trembling around the thick length. Her arm stayed locked around his waist like a seatbelt. The other hand braced on the tree beside his. When she started to move it was with the same confident rhythm she used on the bike—deep, deliberate strokes that forced soft, helpless sounds out of his mouth.
“That’s it,” she murmured against the back of his neck, rain and sweat mingling on both of them. “Take it. You’re doing so well.” The muscles of her thighs and core worked against him with every thrust. She was stronger. She used that strength without cruelty but without hesitation, angling her hips until every stroke dragged over the place that made his vision spark white. “I’ve wanted to feel you like this. Wanted to know if you’d let me.”
Arjun’s cock bounced with every thrust, untouched, leaking in thick strands. The bark was rough under his palms. The rain continued to fall in a soft, steady curtain. Tara’s breathing remained controlled even as she fucked him with increasing intensity, her free hand occasionally stroking over his lean chest or down his stomach as if mapping what belonged to her now.
“Please—” he managed, voice wrecked.
“Please what?”
“Touch me. Or let me— I need—”
“No.” Her voice stayed calm, almost gentle, even as her hips snapped harder, driving the strap-on deep. “You come from this or you don’t come at all. That’s how this works. I want to feel you fall apart on my cock without a single hand on you.”
The words pushed him over the edge.
Pleasure crashed through him in heavy, humiliating waves. His cock jerked and spilled onto the forest floor in thick pulses while she held him upright and kept moving through it, drawing the orgasm out until his knees truly buckled and the only thing keeping him standing was her arm around his waist and the tree in front of him. She fucked him through every aftershock, slow and deep and relentless, until he was shaking and oversensitive and making small, broken sounds that the rain swallowed.
Only then did she slow, and finally still, buried deep inside him while he trembled and tried to remember how to breathe. For a long moment the only sounds were the rain, the distant drip of water from leaves, and their breathing.
Tara pressed a surprisingly soft kiss to the side of his neck, just below his ear. Then she carefully withdrew. The sudden emptiness made him whimper. She dealt with the harness and her clothing with efficient motions while he stayed braced against the tree, trousers still open, body humming and spent. When she finished she turned him around with gentle hands, looked him over, and gave a small, private smile that softened the edges of her usual intensity.
“You’re a mess.”
“Your fault,” he rasped.
“Yes.” She stepped in, cupped the back of his neck, and kissed him once, slower this time, almost tender. “I like being at fault for this.”
They put themselves back together in silence. The rain had lightened to a fine mist that clung to their hair and clothes. Tara retrieved his glasses from her pocket and carefully slid them back onto his face. Her fingers lingered for a second at his temples.
She swung a leg back over the Enfield, settled into the seat, and looked at him expectantly.
“Get on. I’ll take you the rest of the way.”
Arjun climbed on behind her again. This time when his arms went around her waist there was no hesitation. He pressed his face between her shoulder blades and breathed her in—leather, rain, skin, sex, and the faint clean scent of the lube she had used on him. His body still throbbed with aftershocks.
Tara started the engine. The familiar vibration rolled through both of them. As she pulled back onto the road she spoke just loud enough to be heard over the motor.
“Same time tomorrow,” she said. “I’ll pick you up after your last lecture. Wear something you don’t mind getting ruined.” A pause. The bike gathered speed, the engine note deepening. “And Arjun? No weights. Not in the gym. Not at home. Cardio only from now on. I like you lean. I want to keep you that way.”
The words settled over him like another kind of claim.
Arjun closed his eyes and held on tighter as the bike climbed higher into the rain-washed hills. He already knew he would be there tomorrow. And the day after. And every day after that she wanted him.
Something had begun on the wet road with the smell of petrol and pine, and he had no intention of stopping it.
