"This chapter does an excellent job of creating a dark, mysterious atmosphere while gradually revealing the strange world Carlos has been trapped in for ten years. The details of the prison, the biblical inscriptions, and the mysterious presence in Cell 65 build suspense effectively, while the Pope’s final proposition gives the chapter a strong hook. To improve it further, the chapter could be tightened by reducing some of the lengthy architectural and descriptive explanations, correcting a few grammatical issues, and giving Carlos slightly more emotional reaction during the major revelations so the tension feels even more immediate."
