"Okay, this one caught my attention pretty quickly 👀 I really felt for Miriam from the beginning. The way she has learned to make herself almost invisible just to get through each day says so much about her without needing a huge explanation. I also really liked the tension around her escape plan. The little details about the coins, the gate, the timing, and the Roman siege made everything feel like it was counting down. You can tell she has been preparing for this for a long time, so hearing that the tribe has decided she isn't coming with them made the situation feel even more urgent. And that ending with “She was going to be gone. She just had to survive long enough to go.” 👀 That definitely made me want to know what happens next. The historical setting mixed with the wolf-shifter mystery is a really interesting combination, and I'm curious to see where Miriam's story goes."
