Wait, another Isekai?

Summary

Typical Isekai story? Yeah, I'm not gonna repeat what I wrote for the last two stories. Y'all get the hint. You get sent to the Hellaverse and... Harem. Yeah. Things happen, yada yada yada, the flow of the story gets altered and all that.

Prologue

Okay, I wanna make something clear, I don’t like the direction the actual story for either Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss went for, but... that doesn’t change the fact that I still like it. So, I’m gonna be going through and/or some parts of the actual storylines but branching off to my own version.

I’m gonna try to put something together that differs from the actual stories in a... less less serious, less political matter while coming the best of both worlds... yeah something like that.

Also, in this case, I don’t know if I should make the main character have like powers or just like be a powerless human. In my Friday Night Funkin’ story, the whole idea of having powers kinda fitted, but having no powers worked in my Murder Drones fic because it kinda fitted there as well.

This time though, I kinda am stuck in the middle on whether the reader should be powerless or have powers since it... really is hard to think of which to go with in this scenario.

So, I’m gonna leave a poll below for that on the Wattpad version, but other than that, if you have something different, I could include for the reader that doesn’t involve powers, I’d be down to hear. Whether it’d be the reader wearing glasses or something else like having the reader have a physical disability.

I say physical because I don’t think I could do a good job at making a mentally disabled reader story. Making them a little insane, maybe, but I don’t know if I could do a good job doing any other way.

I also don’t wanna make the reader some badass hero that ends up in Hell because ‘Oh, he’s good, but he murdered, so he goes to Hell.’ I just feel like that takes away from making the reader ya know... relatable... and also, not make him a gary stu at the start. Making them overpowered over time, sure, but... I think I made it clear.

Also, I’m not gonna do the whole ‘Oh, all the bad people go to Heaven and good people go to Hell’ because it just doesn’t make sense, and that doesn’t even happen in the actual show so... yeah.

And that’s all for now.

Caine: Uh... don’t you think there should be a bit more?

Unfortunately, that’s all I can come up with at the moment.

Caine: ... Huh... pretty lackluster in all honesty.

Look, leaving some things to desire is not a bad thing.

Caine: I think there’s a difference between leaving things to be desired and lack of creativity.

Oh, like you’re very creative yourself.

Caine: HEY!

Exactly, now shut up and let me do your job.

Caine: Do you even get paid for this?

Nope. Cause this is all a self-insert fanfiction, and I don’t need to explain any further. Besides, I’d like to see you try to come up with something better.

Canie:

Anyway, let's-a-go.

Also, one more thing. In this story, you’re not an expert on Hazbin Hotel. You just know the basics like how Sinners work, the plotline, and whatever theories were thrown out there online. Except, some background characters’ names, especially the ones that don’t have official names yet will be out of your knowledge for the time.

“Alright, here it is.” Your father says as he opens a garage door.

You take a deep breath and adjust your glasses as you walk forward, then grabbed the sheet and pulled it off before you looked on in awe.

A 1990 BMW M3. This something hard for you to find anywhere. As you walked around, inspecting the car, you found a note tapped to the windshield and took it off before reading it.

“I know I don’t have much time left, so I’m gonna keep this short. (Y/N), I’m sorry I couldn’t be with you to see you grow up, but here’s a little something that’ll help you get a little start. Take care now, son. She’s all yours.

Love, (Grandpa’s name)”

“Wow, dad really pulled through.” Your father says as he read the note as well.

You looked at the car, staring at it. Brushing your hand across the top. It still felt like it was new. You then looked at the note before looking at the back.

“P.S. Don’t tell your parents, but I left you a little something in the glove compartment. Don’t spend it all in one place ;)”

Your eyes widened a bit before looking over at your dad who was at the back, looking it over. Without saying a word, you shuffled to the passenger door and opened it. Opening the glove compartment, you saw an envelope and opened it to see a large stack of cash.

Your jaw dropped as you took it out. It was full of tens, twenties, there was so much. Then as you dad was rounding to meet you, you quickly put it back and stashed the envelope before closing the passenger door and heading to the driver’s side.

Getting in, you took a second take in the moment. Feeling the seat, feeling the steering wheel, looking down at the keys in your hand.

“Still in good condition.” Your dad says as he walked over to the driver’s side. “If there was one thing about your grandpa, he always made sure his stuff was in the best condition.” He chuckled. “So, how ya feeling, champ?”

You looked at the wheel, then around the inside before sitting back, then smiling. “Good.”

(One month later)

You opened the door of your apartment and took a deep long breath before exhaling. Then smiling as you were getting ready for a nice drive around the city in your car. Why? Well... you just felt like it.

You opened your car door, got inside. Then you put your passengers in the seat next to you. A 3 Ft. red Among Us plushie with a cowboy hat and a mini crewmate attached to it by the leg. It was something you were proud to spend your money on, and you couldn’t have picked a better purchase... well... you could’ve, but this was still worth it.

“Alright, you two buckled in?” You say while attaching the seatbelt on their side, and then adjusting the hat. “Good, let’s go.” You put the keys in the engine and started your drive.

As you were driving, you were taking in the scenery, loving the drive, the sun shining bright and warmly, the roads were clear, the green light you were about the go past was-YOU QUICKLY SLAMMED YOUR FOOT ON THE BREAKS!

Stopping just in the nick of time, a truck flew past you, running a red light. Your heart pounded in your chest as you realize could’ve become scrap in that moment. Unfortunately, you were too out of it to catch the license plate.

You reached into your hoodie and took out a bottle, popped it open and took out two pills. You grabbed your water bottle and drank some before popping the meds in. Afterward, you were starting to calm down a bit. As soon as you calmed down, you shook your head before hitting the dashboard.

“That motherfucker.” You say before the glove compartment flopped open. “Ugh, great.”

You say before you closed it then fixed your glasses, about to drive, but it opened again. You closed again and were about to drive until it opened again. Frustrated, you were about to slam the thing shut before you looked inside.

You saw another compartment inside that had seemingly been hidden until you hit the dash. Then honking got your attention and you pulled over in a parking lot.

Checking it out with your flashlight, you found a book in the hidden compartment and squinted before reaching in and pulling it out. You looked it over. It was a black hard covered book with a cross on the front and a red gem on the side. Maybe it was an old bible or something. Though, you didn’t know your grandpa to be religious or anything.

You opened the book and each page was filled with words that you didn’t understand. Maybe it was Latin or something?

“Weird.”

You shrugged before tossing it in your backseat.

“Maybe I can ask dad about it later.”

Starting up your car, you exited the parking lot and continued down the road. Taking one more look back, the book sat there, almost as if it were staring... okay, that wasn’t actually happening. It was literally just sitting back there.

Still, you couldn’t get the thought out of your head. Sure, you went to church every now and then, but at most, you respected other people’s religions and weren’t... at least inherently into Christianity or anything similar enough to buy a bible. You wanted to learn about God, you could’ve easily looked things up on your phone or computer.

Now sure, technology didn’t exist when Grandpa was around, but he never had anything related to that book back there. Let alone getting a bible in a different language. Even if he had something like this, why wouldn’t he tell you? The two of you were pretty close when he was alive.

You sighed while closing your eyes. Hoping you could get some answers at some point... then you noticed a red glow in the back. Looking back, you saw the gem on the book glowing brightly. Your face scrunched before you heard something approaching your side.

You turned and driving up next to you in the other lane was a truck. Not just any truck though. The same truck that ran a red light earlier.

Eyes widen; you quickly shifted gears and sped up. Narrowly avoiding the truck as it tried to ram into you. Taking the chance, you turned the corner and hyperventilated for a moment before checking your mirror, and relief briefly filled your face before you saw the truck turning the same corner, shaking around the road.

You gulped before speeding up. Questions ran through your head like a train at that moment. Clearly whoever was driving that truck was a psychopath, but why were they doing a high-speed chase with you in the middle of the city in broad daylight? Why you specifically? And also...

“WHY ARE THE ROAD’S SO CONVIENENTLY EMPTY RIGHT NOW!?” You screamed.

You sped up as best as you could without breaking the speed limit, hoping to get away from whoever was trying to fucking kill you right now. However, with the truck catching up, you said...

“To hell with the law right now!” As you slammed your foot on the peddle.

As you sped down the road, you were still trying to escape the truck. Every attempt you tried was in vain as this thing was on your tail no matter what you tried.

Sweat ran down your face as it was inching closer, and closer, and closer. Right as it was about to catch you, the gem on the book in the back started to glow brighter and bright until the light enveloped your vision, forcing you to close your eyes.

As you were blinded, your tires screeched, causing the car to swerve as you rubbed your eyes in an attempt to unblind yourself before screeching to a halt. You panted while leaning back against the seat, heart rapidly feeling like it was gonna burst from how much it was beating.

You covered your face, staining them with sweat, your life practically flashing before your eyes. Letting out one last groan, you opened your eyes, your vision blurry at first which you assumed was because of you just coming out of it. Then you remembered your glasses.

“You gotta be kidding me.” You say as you bend down to look for them on the car floor. “What the fuck was that? Why couldn’t I have run into the police or something?” You say as you find them and put them on. “Seriously, and why where the streets so... empty...”

As if like clockwork, your eyes slowly widened again. Firstly, it was darker out when it was bright out from what you could remember. Now, part of you wondered if maybe you were in a ditch, but... you weren’t. In fact, you weren’t even in the city anymore.

You were... in the middle of nowhere. There was nothing but dirt everywhere. Not even a road. There seemed to be a red tint covering the area which made you think that maybe the sun was setting.

“What the hell is going on?” You say as you open the car door and step out.

Closing the door, you looked around. There was just about no city for miles upon miles. You couldn’t wrap your head around just what had happened to lead to you going out here of all places. You were just in the city.

You rubbed your head to check for injuries. The airbags hadn’t gone off, so you didn’t go through and head trauma or anything. Your head didn’t hurt. Maybe you were just going so fast that... no that wouldn’t make any sense.

Then you looked up and your eyes widened. There wasn’t the sun or moon. There was this big ball with a pentagram in the sky right next to a ball of light veiled in wings. That was a sight you recognized and didn’t want to believe was real.

“... Maybe I have hit my head.” You say to yourself.

You rubbed your head again, still trying to look for a part that hurt or anything to justify what you were seeing. Nothing though. There wasn’t blood or anything. Maybe it was just one of those things where your head rocked so hard that your brain hit your skull or something? As much as concerning that would be, that’d be more reasonable than you just teleporting out of nowhere.

After a second, you looked around again, then started coughing before you got back into the car. You turned on the air, then started driving.

This place made no sense. It had to be a dream surely. But if it was a dream, it shouldn’t be this consistent, right? You expected the road to lead to somewhere or even warp or something, but nothing. You looked out the window, and the pentagram and light ball were still the same.

“No, no, no... please wake up.” You say while lightly slapping yourself.

You wanted this to be a dream. Even if you got sent to an alternate world, the last world you wanted to be in was this world. Did you hate it? No, you didn’t hate the series, but this world was full of horrible things that a normal human should not have to deal with.

As much as you wondered just what brought you here, you were more focused on the fact that you were in literal Hell right now. Not wanting to be there and wanting to wake up from this terrible nightmare before you get attacked by any hellspawn or something.

Eventually, you saw a light in the distance. You thought maybe it was possibly a way out. Your mind was trying to rationalize and believe that you could’ve been saved and not have your body torn apart by demons... or much less getting your ass fucked. Both metaphorically and/or literally considering what world you’re in.

You saw you were approaching a city and were looking happy... until you stopped and took a better look. It wasn’t your city. It was all read and you could see things flying that definitely weren’t birds or anything.

Then you looked at a sign. You were afraid to, but you still read it. ‘Welcome to Pentagram City.’

Your breathing started out slow, then started to get heavier, and faster. You held your chest as your heart started pounding again. You needed to get somewhere safe. Even if this was a dream, this city was the last place you wanted to be at. It may not have looked bad in the show, but things are always worse in reality.

Pulling on your hair, you grab the wheel and tried to think while looking around. In the distance you could see there was another light, a single building. That’s it, that was your best shot. You had to take a chance.

Car already started up, you turned and took off. Your heart was still pounding heavily, but you were able to keep straightforward and didn’t stop. You tried to calm yourself, but after everything that happened in just one day, the stress was not doing you any favors.

You closed your eyes for what felt like a second, only to hit the brakes as soon as you opened them. You almost ran over the statue in the garden, seemingly arriving at the hotel in an instant.

Before you went inside, you leaned back and tried to calm yourself. You were still hyperventilating, your chest felt like it was gonna explode and your vision was becoming shaky. You moved your hand to the handle, managing to open the door and tried to get out. Unfortunately, you forgot about the seatbelt.

It was supposed to be an easy task doing either of these things, but your hands shaking so much made it seem impossible.

Finally getting out of the car, you stumbled and nearly tripped a few times along the way. As soon as you made it to the door, you wanted to try knocking. Instead, you leaned against it and slid into a sitting position as your ears began to ring.

Only then did it hit you that you still had your meds. You reached into your hoodie and had your hands on the bottle. But before you could open it, the door opened behind you, making you fall over and hit your head on the floor, your glasses flinging up and off.

Your vision was now completely blurry, making you unable to see who was standing over you. You could only hear muffles and make out the person leaning down to inspect you. It was the last thing you could see before you blacked out and were welcomed by the darkness.

(Sometime later)

You groaned as you were finally coming to. You were feeling comfortable. As you were waking up, you started to feel relief. It was really all a dream, and you were... wait... your room wasn’t red. It didn’t have a spec of red in it.

You looked around, your vision blurry as all hell and unable to see what kind of room you were in. Then you heard the door open someone walk inside.

“Oh, thank fuck! You’re still alive.” You hear a female voice that you didn’t recognize at first, being wonky and all. “I was worried you died on my doorstep. I didn’t know how I would... well... never mind. You’re probably hungry and thirsty and all.”

“Uh... w-wha...” You stuttered for a moment before feeling something get put next to you. “W-Who are... w-what are you doing in my house?”

“Your house?” The voice says confused. “Oh, uh... ehhh...” She continues before hissing. “Uh... well... this isn’t...”

You realized and looked around. “W-Where are my glasses?”

“Oh, oh, right. Right. You need these.” The woman says before you saw her take something out. “Here, these should help, and...” She placed them on your face, poking your eye at first. “Oh, sorry.” She says before putting them on properly. “And... alright. All good. Can you see me now?”

After that, you could finally see. That blob of yellow and red soon change and turned into an actual person. Now that you could see her, you remembered where you heard that voice from.

“Y-Yeah.”

“Good, uh... how ya feeling? Feeling better? Y-You’re all good right? It’s just, I checked you over for damages when you passed out and I was worried and all that. Uh...” She scratched the back of her neck afterward. “Sorry, I just... ya know... I never met a human before. Well, I have met a few, but none that are really, ya know, alive and all that.”

You couldn’t believe what you were seeing.

“W-What’s with the cosplay?” You asked before she looked confused. “Cosplay. Ya know, the costume you’re wearing and the... the suit and makeup.”

“This is just my normal self.”

You were about to say something else, but then you took a closer look. Even from this distance, she looked like a cosplayer, but taking another look, you noticed a few things. The faint the glow in her eyes despite the room being lit up, her hair looking real not like a wig, and her nose... it looked like an actual animal nose.

She looked to the side awkwardly before you looked closer, which added a bit of red across her face matching her cheeks. Then you pulled away and looked around again, still seeing red in the room.

“Uh... are... you good? You still tired?” She asks. “I could leave you to sleep if you’d like.”

This wasn’t a dream. You were here...

In the Hazbin Hotel.

To be continued...

This chapter was kinda meant to show what the real deals with. If you can take a guess what he has, you get a cookie.

Question before I end this is... should I have the reader start before or after the pilot of Hazbin Hotel. Let me know down below.
