This is a slow-burn romantic comedy (kinda!). It’s strangers-to-friends-to-lovers with slice-of life elements. There’s a lot of yearning and pining and cute shit in general, with a tiny bit of angst too. While very unserious, this version of Chris is kinda reserved and in his head a lot, and this fic talks at length about anxiety and ADHD. Trauma is also discussed to some degree, but it’s pretty brief to keep the story light. There’s also some sexual content, but I’ll be sure to put a warning on those chapters.
Less important stuff: I didn’t exactly have a real person in mind when writing Sage, and especially when coming up with her physical description, so the way she’s described in the story and specifically her hair color throughout doesn’t match that of the face claim, but she’s the closest to the description I could find. In my head, Christian is very 2017 Chris with his natural teeth and no face tattoos.
That being said, aside from the song lyrics used (of which there are a lot — Christian is a songwriter, and they both really love and bond through music), this is my intellectual property.
