Chapter 1: When Everything Changed
I used to believe that if someone said they loved you, they would always stay.
His name was Badado.
He was my boyfriend, but he had also become someone I trusted deeply. I told him my secrets, my worries, and the things that made me happy.
I thought he understood me.
Then one afternoon, Badado asked me to meet him.
โCan we talk?โ he said.
I smiled nervously. โSure. What's wrong?โ
He looked down at the ground.
โI don't think I can do this anymore.โ
I froze.
โDo what?โ
โUs.โ
For a moment, I couldn't speak.
โButโฆ you said you loved me.โ
โI know,โ he said quietly.
My eyes filled with tears.
โThen why are you leaving?โ
Badado didn't answer.
That silence hurt more than I expected.
When I got home, I sat on my bed and opened our old messages.
I love you.
Goodnight.
I'll always be here.
The words were still on my screen.
But everything felt different now.
I wiped my tears and whispered,
โMaybe this is goodbye.โ
I didn't know it yet, but this wasn't the end of my story.
It was the beginning of learning how to heal my heart.
