Chapter 1
Curses have been around for as long as anyone in the Jujutsu world has known. They were born from the negative energy of humans, mostly from such popular hotspots that are a breeding ground such as the schools, the hospitals, and even the graveyards.
Anger, resentment, hatred and so the likes.
Ordinary folks cannot see the danger that is lurking in every corner of Japan, but those that do are either the impending doom of death hanging over them or having the ability to wield the curse energy that sorcerers wield. Sorcerers are tasked with guarding humanity from the curses that continue to be a danger as years go by.
Especially with the looming threat of the possibility of Sukuna Ryoumen, the King of Curses, being incarnated from one of his twenty mummified fingers that are scattered across the country.
2018 is the current year, and the current generation of the jujutsu sorcerers have been promising as of late. There are some who are gifted with such prowess that most would automatically give respect to and see it troubling if there comes the day of rebellion.
One being a young beautiful woman who comes from a Clan that is shrouded with mystery despite the prowess they’ve displayed, the Ceres Clan. She has flowing copper hair and flawless porcelain skin, her eyes a deep shade of red like blood with her lips painted black that contrasts her skin nicely.
Her jujutsu uniform being sleeveless and having detached bell sleeves on, a dark belt with a silver buckle that keeps her skirt on that is double slitted. Black leggings beneath and dark-brown ankle-length heeled boots on.
“Maa... same old, same boring days.” Yelena mutters with a bored expression.
“Maaa... Lena-chan, don’t be so mopey, especially now that I’m here.” a deep voice filled with mischievous banter making her sweat drop.
She turns to a man around his mid to late twenties with a lean but powerful frame with spiky white hair, having an undercut wearing a matching black uniform and a matching black blindfold covering his eyes. It was Satoru Gojo, the world’s strongest sorcerer blessed with his clan’s Six Eyes and Limitless technique.
“You know what I’m talking about, dumbass.” Yelena remarks, rolling her eyes while taking a few steps down the marble stone pathway of the campus grounds of Jujutsu High.
“Just the same old routine of missions and exorcising and shit. I’m practically bored out of my mind. I am suffering from too-powerful syndrome.” Yelena adds with a wave of her hand.
“Now you know how I feel. Being the strongest can be so boring without a challenge, I swear those old fucks are just sending us on these mission just to get rid of us. Not happening, I’m having way too much fun keeping my boot on their necks. It would be so easy to just kill them.” he replied in a nonchalant manner.
“Then they could easily replace them with bigger pains in the asses.” Gojo says in his usual dramatic demeanor, a hand over his eyes for a brief moment before suddenly looking at her.
“Oh! Why don’t we go out on a date?” he suggested with a grin.
Yelena looks at him with an expression of absolute cringe. “And circulate such scandalous rumors of you and me together? No thanks.” she comments.
“Aww but we’ll be a literal power couple.” he replied to her.
“A power couple? Please tell me you’re not into the whole “Celeb” trend thing right?” She deadpanned.
“It’s the most hot topic nowadays in this time of generation.” Gojo remarks with a grin, and Yelena just looks at him with the same expression.
“And I don’t like following trends, too much of a hassle.” Yelena remarks, raising a hand to rub the side of her neck.
“Aww, poo.” The man pouts at that.
“Don’t make that face, it’s weird.” she comments, deadpanning once more.
“What face are you referring to?” He asks, basically trolling the hell out of her. She just looks at him, knowing he is clearly baiting for it, and she just turns her head and starts wandering off.
“Consider the date rejected.” Yelena remarks, waving her hand. She grins upon hearing a rather undignified sound from the white-haired sorcerer behind her.
“W-Wait, you were actually considering it?!” he questioned.
“I was, and now I am standing firm with a cold no.” she cackles.
“Seriously Lena-chan, you’re not even giving me a chance. I’m the most handsome and most powerful sorcerer.” he bragged.
“Yes, and the biggest troll.” Yelena added.
“Being a troll is part of my charming personality.” Gojo clapped back with a grin.
“Says who?” Yelena questions him, and then she points to him when he is about to respond. “Not you. You are the biased one.”
“So cruel, Lena-chan.” he chuckles, and she just puts a hand over her eyes. This is obviously not the first time he would suggest a date.
“Remind me how long since you’ve been practically begging to have a date with me?” she questions him.
“So many times, I lost count.” he replied with a grin.
“And I keep telling you no many times I lost count either. I don’t believe in dating co-workers.” she replied with a raised eyebrow.
“You know I won’t let anything happen to you, Yelena. I know you can handle yourself but still nothing wrong with relying on me as well.” he replied to her. She raises an eyebrow at him for a moment.
Suddenly she is in front of him faster than the blink of an eye, and she has her index finger pressed against his clothed chest. Her black nail polish gleaming in the rays of the sun.
“Only if you rely on me in return as well, pretty boy. It’s not good to make yourself shoulder lots of things and add more pressure to yourself.” Yelena says to him with her eyes gleaming a little, while repeatedly poking his chest with that same finger as though chastising him.
Though the blindfold obscures his eyes due to his Six Eyes, through her perspective she can perfectly see his sky blue eyes through the material due to her ability called Third Eye.
It works similar to how Six Eyes is, only that instead it reveals to her many things that a naked eye cannot see. Like say the true face of what the mask hides, best example being a curse attempting it’s poor disguise to blend in but to be seen through right away.
Gojo grins, gently taking her hand in his, making her blink. Her hand looks so small and fragile in his own large hand, even though she’s capable of doing a lot of damage like him.
“Aww thank you for genuinely caring about me. I know people see me as an annoyance and those old fucks see me as a weapon but you see me as me.” he replied with a grin.
“It’s easy to forget that at the end of the day, we’re still human. We both need a reminder of that.” she responds to him. Then she slips her hand out of his gentle hold, even though she admits that a small part of her is starting to enjoy it and miss it already.
“As much as I’d like to stay and chat longer, I gotta get going. Old coots want me to investigate some rundown hospital that became a domain of some special grade Curse.” she tells him.
“Boooo! God, I hate those fuckers. Don’t they have any marriages or something like that?” he deadpanned in annoyance, making Yelena giggle in amusement.
“Well, didn’t they hand you a mission as well at the moment?” she questions him curiously.
“Yeah they did but I was already done with the mission, it was too easy.” Gojo says with a pout.
“As always. Well I have to go do it unfortunately, especially since they believe that one of the twenty fingers might be hosted in that very special grade. A Finger Bearer, I think it’s called?” Yelena remarks, and instantly she gets a look from him.
“I’m sure Megumi will do fine along with Yuji and Nobara. Those three have great potential.” Gojo says with a grin.
“Who and who?” Yelena remarks with a flat expression, making Gojo sweat drop a little.
“Oh right, you were away from the previous mission for a while. You haven’t gotten a chance to meet Yuji-kun and Nobara.” Gojo remarks, and Yelena simply looks at him for a moment. She tilts her head for a moment.
“The newbies then?” She questions him.
“Yup. They should be halfway from making it there, since they left an hour ago.” Gojo remarks, and that only Yelena stares at him for a moment.
“I’m still heading over there. While I will trust your judgment in them, it wouldn’t hurt to be careful if things go haywire.” Yelena remarks.
“True but they have to work together if they want to thrive in this dirty world of ours. I don’t want them to end up like us, we were young just like them and look how the adults failed us.” he replied with a serious look on his face.
“Even if that is the case, what good would growth and thriving be if they end up dead? Anything can go wrong in any mission. I still want to see how they do myself. Megumi, I have faith. But for the newbies? I want to see them up close and personal.” she says, before giving him a slight smirk.
“Don’t worry. I won’t get involved. I’ll just observe unless things go too crazy for them to handle.” Yelena tells him.
“Fair enough but still let them figure it out for themselves. This is the world they signed up for and they can’t grow if we’re coddling them.” Gojo replied wisely. Yes Gojo can be a mischievous troll and sometimes acts like a manchild, however he didn’t become a force to be reckoned with by batting his pretty little eyes.
He could literally bring the world to his knees but he chooses to make changes himself, which she finds admirable of him.
"Ara, ara. Don’t worry, don’t worry. I’ll watch over them and grade their efforts.” Yelena says with a closed-eyed smile. She then turns, turning her head around appearing to be surveying the area but Gojo knows that is her pinpointing the destination of where the Cursed Womb would be.
“Found it.” Yelena says, before suddenly teleporting out of there.
She could sense Megumi’s curse energy, using it as her mark to head over to where they are. At the moment, Yuuji and Nobara were facing two curses but they were ordinary curses. They were definitely not the top honcho they needed to deal with though.
Although the domain expansion here is quite dreadful, like a maze once going in one way after another. That isn’t an issue for a skilled sorcerer like Yelena. But for ones like the newbies for instance, they’d have trouble unless Megumi uses his wolves to lead them out.
Now getting a good look at them, Yelena notices something is off with Yuji, the teenager who looks to be a high schooler with the red hoodie to his customized jujutsu uniform. Her eyes blinked a few times.
“Pinky, on your left.” Yelena calls out from her place nonchalantly, seeing a curse about to strike him from the left.
Yuji’s blinks look around. “Huh?” He says in shock, but nonetheless strikes the curse on the left knocking the curse back. Yelena was impressed seeing the boy’s strength.
“I’m impressed.” she commented.
“Was that you, Kugisaki?” Yuji hollers over to his comrade, who just nailed a curse with her hammer to a wall. Yelena was able to identify her curse technique being Straw Doll.
“Hell no! Too busy to even warn you at the moment!” Nobara calls back to him.
“Above you, hammer girl.” Yelena calls out once more.
Nobara turns towards her, spotting her sitting atop of a stone beam. Yelena grins, giving her a wave.
“Where did you come from?!” Nobara says in shock.
How did she not sense her presence?
“I just got here.” Yelena explained to her.
“Eh?” Yuji looks up and spots Yelena as well. His face went pink, “What’s a chick doing here?!”
“Hey! Focus, you haven’t exorcised them yet!” Yelena says with a stern look, snapping her fingers to have them pay attention to the curses. They turned to the curses they are currently facing; they will ask about Yelena later.
Yelena looks on as an observer wanting to see what they are capable of as a team but also as individuals.
~
While they fight, they will soon awaken certain individuals that shouldn’t be disturbed.
Neither folks to this day are aware of the fact the building that became the domain of a special-grade curse was once a resting place centuries back, even beyond the Heian Era. The seal on them starts to crack.
It grew a little more, until the fight dwindled down as the two finally exorcized the two curses on their own, which took a while.
The seal remains intact, for now that is.
~
As the two regular curses are fading, Yelena then drops down from her spot as she lands near the newbies. “Nice. Based on what I observed, I give it a B minus.” Yelena remarks with a clap of her hands.
Nobara was not satisfied with that grade. “Eh?! A B-minus?! I should be getting an A+!” she says to her.
Yelena chuckles. “I see but sorry that’s the best I could give you for now, but you both have potential, that’s a start.” She says to them in a honest direct way.
“Uh, who are you?” Yuji asks her, making Yelena turn to him.
He did not miss the way her eyes narrowed towards him, because little does he know that through her Third Eye, she is seeing the black markings on his face and the extra two eyes beneath his main ones.
She then gets in his face, making him yelp as he leans back for personal space. She stares at him deeply for a moment with Nobara looking at this with an odd face, before a smirk forms and she moves back.
“Interesting... Looks like things are finally starting to be fun~” Yelena comments in a gleeful manner.
Nobara and Yuji looked at each other nervously as they felt something was off, really off.
“You didn’t answer my question, who are you?” Yuji asked her while still keeping his guard up, like really up.
“Oops sorry for that! I didn’t mean to weird you both out, not the kind of first impression I hoped to make towards the newbies.” Yelena says with a closed-eyed smile, having her hands up to show that she comes in peace and that she is a friend.
“My name is Yelena Carmella Ceres, fellow Jujutsu Sorceress, Grade S. Nice to meet you two freshmen.” Yelena introduces herself to them, opening her eyes as she smiles towards them in a friendly way.
“Wait, you’re Special Grade?!” Nobara says in shock, making Yelena nod with amusement.
“How come Gojo-sensei never told us this? Does Fushiguro know about this?” Yuji asked her.
“Of course Megumi knows about me, but not the fact I was sent here to partake in the mission. And that blindfold dumbass tends to forget to say much about me. I was away, which is why I never officially met you both.” Yelena tells them.
“You could have helped us earlier!” Nobara says with annoyance, but Yelena shakes her head smiling.
“Now, now. I promised Gojo that I won’t get involved in your guys’ fight. You have potential, and you need to have growth. I’m just here to observe.” Yelena says, making the other female look very annoyed by this even more.
“Anyways, where’s Megumi actually? Dealing with the Special-grade curse or looking for it?” Yelena asks them curiously.
“We got separated for a while. We’re not sure.” Yuji replied sadly when Yuji noticed Sukuna was quiet, like really quiet. Which is odd to him unless he’s plotting, but even if he’s plotting he always finds a way to taunt him.
“Hmm... that’s okay. I can easily track him down.” Yelena remarks with a reassuring grin.
“How?” Nobara blinks.
“With my all-seeing eye, of course!” Yelena says, clearly being a bit playful about it but at the same time it isn’t a lie thanks to her Third Eye ability.
“We’ll go with you.” Yuji replied to her.
“Alright then, that way you both could see me in action.” she replied leaving the area with the first years following her. Sukuna was still eerily quiet, and it’s really starting to bother Yuji at his silence.
“So.... Yuji, right?” Yelena remarks, getting the teenager’s attention. “When’s the last beef jerky you ate?”
“Huh?” Yuji blinks in confusion.
Yelena glances over to him, and simply wiggles her fingers around. He instantly gets the info that she is referring to when is the last time he ate one of Sukuna’s Fingers.
Which also made him slowly realize that she must’ve figured out that he has Sukuna within him. Or maybe Gojo told her about it?
“It’s been a while, but lately he’s been quiet and I mean really quiet.” he replied confusing Nobara and Yelena.
From what they heard, the King of Curses is not known for being quiet. Either that’s a good thing or a bad thing since this is Sukuna they are talking about.
“Quiet, huh...? May I try something?” Yelena says, stopping and turning to him.
“Eh..?” Yuji blinks, though he doesn’t stop her when Yelena raises one of her hands that is inching towards his face.
Poke~
Wait, did she just-
“Hey, Sukuna! Hey, Sukuuuuna~!” Yelena chirps, tapping Yuji in his cheek with her finger repeatedly, much to his and Nobara’s astonishment.
Does she have a death wish or something?!
Suddenly his mouth appears, making her stop her poking antics. ”You crazy bitch, don’t touch me!" He called out in annoyance.
“Oh so the King of Curses was actually worrying everyone since you’ve been so quiet.” she replied with a tilt of her head.
"Why does it matter if I’m quiet or not!" He says to her, still annoyed at her.
“Awww did I interrupt your beauty sleep?” She asked, shocking both Yuji and Nobara.
Is she really having a conversation with Sukuna, the King of Curses who is known to be very frightening and the damnest being to ever exist, like this is normal?
This lady really has balls.
“No need to be so prissy, Sukuna~! We’re just worried! Or actually, can I call you Kuna? Kuna, Kuna. That sounds much better!” Yelena adds with a smile.
"No, you will not call me that!" Sukuna called out angrily, but his anger didn’t faze Yelena at all.
Nobara and Yuji were still freaked out seeing the two having a somewhat casual banter.
“Kuna it is!!” Yelena laughs a little.
"You bitch, I will murder you for that!" the curse growls, but again Yelena isn’t intimidated at all.
“Ooooh, I’m so scared!” she grins, before raising a hand. “Okay, enough for now!” she adds before smacking the cheek that Sukuna’s mouth is dominating. That also in return got Yuji yelping from the smack.
“Oww!” Yuji says, although he doesn’t feel Sukuna’s mouth lingering there anymore.
“Oops, sorry for that. Anyways, Megumi’s just ahead!” Yelena says, pointing down the corridor that turns to the right.
“Right.” Nobara and Yuji answered they followed the female sorcerer.
They arrived to Megumi facing a curse, a Finger Bearer. Megumi was holding his own against the curse, although soon he was being tossed around like a rag doll his body landed against a wall.
Finger Bearer went after him when it felt something was off really, really off. It took a step back, sweat forming on his body.
“What the hell?” Nobara called out, her eyes being very wide seeing a woman walking out of the hole carrying Megumi in her arms.
The woman looked foreign with brown skin, long black hair and sharp purple eyes that are staring down at the curse as if it was dirt.
She was wearing a black kimono with a temari ball pattern and wearing a pink obi around her waist although they could see she has a feminine figure. A split was there giving her more mobility and heeled geta shoes, a sword was attached to her waist. A choker wrapped around her neck, as she wore dark pink lipstick to finish the look.
Her overall presence was intimidating.
‘...Now I see. This must be what made Sukuna silent for some time. He sensed that we’re not the only ones here.’ Yelena thought to herself with a frown on her face.
But still, could the presence of the woman giving off be the very reason why Sukuna was suddenly so on edge? The Finger Bearer was staring at the stranger like she is Sukuna herself, but perhaps much worse.
In the corner of her eye, she saw Yuji about to move but then she stuck her arm out to hold him back. She feels his gaze coming onto her.
“I don’t think she’ll endanger Megumi.” Yelena mutters to him silently, seeing that the woman places a knocked out Megumi aside while still eyeing the Finger Bearer like a predator never taking eyes off its prey.
Finger Bearer tries to escape only both of his arms and legs were cut off, shocking it given the woman hasn’t moved. She flicked off the blood from her sword.
“S-So fast, i didn’t see her move...” Nobara says in awe and shock.
“Was it you who woke us up?” The woman asked the curse.
The curse can only make pathetic sounds, genuinely terrified. Yelena’s eyes narrowed even more as she looked to the hole in the wall where the woman came out with Megumi. There are four more presences there.
With a flick of a wrist, Yelena had Megumi suddenly appear over her shoulder which surprised the two first years with her. Unaffected by the additional weight, she glances over to Yuji.
“Carry him, and you two get out of the domain.” Yelena remarks.
“But...!” Yuji mutters.
“This situation has become indeterminate, not exactly in our favor given this was supposed to be a mission to test your limits. Besides Megumi is injured, you both need to get him some help.” Yelena mutters while boring a stern look.
Sukuna’s mouth appears on Yuji’s left cheek. ”Listen to your sensei and get out of here. That’s no woman, that’s a demon wielding a sword." he says to them, shocking them all.
For someone as nefarious as Sukuna to call someone a demon is quite alarming. This only made Yelena narrow her eyes even more, as she looks to the Finger Bearer who is still scared out of its wits as it tries regenerating its missing limbs.
She eyes the hole on its body, where one of Sukuna’s Fingers is within. She has to get that finger before the woman and whoever the other four are thinking about taking it or doing something to it.
“You’re gonna have to eat it as soon as I get that finger out.” Yelena informs Yuji seriously, making him balk a little. “Sukuna. Be a fucking sweetie for once and help them out if you really value your own life.”
"First of all don’t call me sweetie, and fine." Sukuna grumbled.
Finger Bearer was trying to scramble but the woman stabbed the curse in its back causing pain.
“Where are you going? The fun has just begun.” the woman says with a blood thirsty smile on her beautiful face as she was tormenting the curse.
“Yup, she’s crazy..!” Yuji mutters with a pale face, and Megumi is within his arms bridal style.
“Go. Now." Yelena tells Yuji and Nobara with a hardened look to leave the domain now. She can’t even tell if the woman and the four are enemies or not, but she cannot take any chances to risk the first years getting caught up in a potential fight neither of them couldn’t even hope to last.
Perhaps.... Not even Sukuna could have a chance.
The woman just kept stabbing the curse, until she felt a familiar presence. “Sukuna?” She called out with a grin, as she grabbed the finger from the curse.
“No doubt about it. “The King of Curses” is here...” she says with a grin.
“And how long has that been?” a deep voice called out and a man with a short but muscular frame came out.
He has black hair growing counterclockwise with matching black eyes with a marking in the center of his forehead. He wore a crimson bodysuit with white insignias on them exposing his chest and abs, he also wears black boots with silver gauntlets. He too has a sword attached to his waist.
“Don’t know but compared to then versus now the energy is more tamed, more civil.” the woman replied to the man near her with a grin.
Yelena raises an eyebrow at that. They knew Sukuna? Why wasn’t there any records of him having some kind of enemies or rivals or whatever?
Then again, records of him are very scarce to this day.
The Finger Bearer was struggling to get up, only to shriek in pain as it was suddenly engulfed in purple flames that felt hotter than the normal flames. Almost like being near the volcano of the sorcerers has to admit.
“What are you doing with that finger?” another deep voice drawled out, much more menacing than the other man’s that had chills traveling down the first years’ spine. It was another man who resembles the dark-haired man but instead owning golden blonde hair and wearing a sleeveless white coat with black cross pins and matching gloves, dark trousers and metallic high-knee boots.
There is a dark-green moss weapon with golden accents on his back in its sheath. His eyes are equally dark, and there is a mark in the center of his forehead that is much different compared to the other man’s.
“Don’t know, although I’m surprised they were able to keep him at bay considering how indestructible his body was.” the woman replied as she was not fazed by their presence while everyone else could barely breathe. It was suffocating.
“Do you know who woke us up?” A voice calls out, this time it was a woman with her heels clicking on the pavement. The woman owns long silver hair, pale skin and orange colored eyes with a triskele symbol.
She too had a feminine figure, and she wore a short white backless dress with a maroon tie with black leggings and matched white heeled boots. She has two sets of wings coming from her back and although she looks like an angel, her presence is just as intimidating as the others.
“Nah. Couldn’t be the curse I was tormenting with.” the dark-haired woman comments while messing with Sukuna’s Finger in hand.
“Then who?” Calls another woman merging from the wall. She owns blonde hair that is in a braid by a teal ribbon, with pale skin and red ruby eyes. She is wearing a golden battle armor with a purple underskirt that shows a healthy amount of cleavage, wearing iron-heeled boots beneath. Her lips painted coral pink, and a fang is barely poking out.
“Hmm? Guess it would be-” the woman stops, and then slowly she turns her head towards their audience. Yuji nearly freezes, noticing that her gaze is on him directly, ignoring others as a grin that craves blood widens.
“There he is! Sukuna is right there!” the dark-skinned woman says, and instantly the others look at Yuji. With incredible speed, she is right in front of him with her blade brandished as he simply stares with wide eyes.
But suddenly, the woman felt herself being pushed back with great force, colliding into the undamaged wall across. Yuji and Nobara blinked in shock, now suddenly seeing that Yelena is now standing in front of them. More precisely in front of Yuji with a menacing look on her face, her crimson eyes gleaming.
“S-Senpai...?” Yuji mutters.
“Too dangerous to have you all leave on your own.” Yelena mutters, before she then claps her hands and the first years are instantly teleported out of the domain and far elsewhere for safety measure.
The woman comes out of the wall, dusting off her kimono. “Sorry about that I do tend to let my bloodthirst get the best of me. And I understand that you were protecting your students, I respect that. Can you tell me where we are?” The woman asked Yelena casually as she looked around her surroundings.
Yelena simply stares with the same expression, keeping herself alert for any sudden movements as her Third Eye is active to the fullest for predicted movements.
“Hand it over.” Yelena simply says.
The woman blinks. “Oh the finger? I’m curious though, what are you going to do with it?” she asks curiously towards the sorcerer.
Yelena’s lips twitched a little, her gaze unmoving.
“Curses will gather to swallow the finger in hopes of gaining more power, endangering the people within its vicinity. Though I am aware based on what I am seeing from you five, that isn’t an issue for either of you. However, that finger must be within the possession of the Jujutsu High Tech.” Yelena remarks with a stoic tone.
And also to have Yuji devour the finger one at a time. Yelena isn’t aware how many fingers he has eaten so far, so extra caution is necessary.
The woman tilts her before going over to give Yelena the finger without hesitation.
“I rather the finger be in good hands than let it be used recklessly.” The woman replied, making Yelena blink.
“I may be a blood knight but I do think logically. Plus I’m sure my friends and I won’t cause any trouble.” she replied.
“Friends?” Yelena replied, and the woman nodded.
“Yes. I’m sure you heard of demons and goddesses right?” The woman asked her shocking Yelena. She was sure those type of creatures are a myth, there’s no way.
But then again...
That’s saying something given that curses exist and also with Sukuna being known as the Imaginary Demon. Just one of his colorful monikers he earned from his time, in his own body of course.
Her shock dwindles down, and takes Sukuna’s Finger. “At this point, I might as well rethink many things that can actually exist.” Yelena comments, while putting the finger in her pouch that is strapped to her belt.
“Whelp, this place is empty now. No reason for me to stick around here any longer. Cursed Womb destroyed thanks to you.” Yelena adds, making a turn on her heels to leave the building free of cursed energy.
“Cursed womb? What’s that?” The woman asks her, given she’s not familiar with everything. That made Yelena pause, moments away from warping herself out and looks over to her.
Oh right.
“It’s.... When an immature cursed spirit devours one of Sukuna’s Fingers, and overtime evolves into a special grade curse. The one which you just killed, called a Finger Bearer.” Yelena explains rather reluctantly.
“Oh that pathetic leech, well technically I didn’t kill him I just stabbed it. It was Meliodas who killed it with his hellfire but who’s counting? Still, I never thought our sleep would end so quickly.” the woman replied.
“And Ryoko, you just had to throw me under the bus.” Meliodas replied to her with a raised eyebrow.
“But you did, unless Zeldris beat you to the punch.” she added in amusement.
“No, it was him.” The dark-haired demon, revealed to be Zeldris remarks with a roll of his dark eyes.
Yelena furrowed her brows even more, opening her mouth to say something when she felt her phone beginning to ring. The unfamiliar sound instantly had the five look at her, looking about ready to attack.
“Sorry...” Yelena mumbles, taking out her phone and looks to see it was Gojo calling her. She turns her back to them so she can answer it privately.
“What? I’m in the middle of something here.” Yelena says into the device.
"Aww I’m just calling to make sure everything is fine with you, but mostly to see how you’re doing of course." he replied, making Yelena sweat drop.
“Yeah everything is fine but um.....we have a bit of a problem, it’s better if you see it for yourself. I’m going to be honest with you, these five make Sukuna look like an infant.” she replied.
There was silence from him for a moment.
"For real?" Gojo asks.
“For real. Kuna even called one of them a monster which says a lot. Ask Yuji, he can confirm it if you don’t believe me.” Yelena deadpans.
"He did? That’s hilarious! And seriously, Kuna?" Yelena misses the fact there is a hint of a frown after hearing the nickname Yelena gave to the oh-so terrifying King of Curses.
“What? It’s cute. Anyways, I’ll be heading back in a few moments. Gotta go.” Yelena remarks before ending the phone call before Gojo could get a say in it.
“Sukuna actually called Ryoko a demon. A psychopath is more like it.” Zeldris deadpanned.
A vein popped onto Ryoko’s forehead but she kept a smile on her face. “I’ll take it as a compliment from you, Zeldris.” she replied with a grin.
“As much as I hate to say this, but unfortunately given you’re all some ancient beings from a time far back, it would be quite rude of me to leave you all wandering around in an era completely unknown and foreign to you all. You’re gonna have to come with me.” Yelena remarks with a stoic expression towards them.
“Where are you taking us? That’s the question.” Meliodas asks her.
“I’ll be taking you five back to Tokyo Jujustu High School. Also another sorcerer by the name of Satoru Gojo will be there as well.” She explained.
“The Gojo Clan is still thriving?” The winged woman asked.
“I’m not surprised given they are Sugawara’s descendants.” The vampire woman replied.
Yelena blinks, wondering how they are not aware of these five. She wondered if the elders were hiding something.
Why though, if these five knew so much and even were the ones who could make Sukuna on edge within their presence? Could it be that they feared them or something?
Such questions will be held off for now.
Yelena teleported them all within the vicinity of Jujutsu High Tech with a simple clap of her hands, neither of them weren’t even fazed by the sudden change of surroundings. She supposes that is fair given they aren’t exactly ordinary.
“Follow me.” Yelena says, leading them up the stairs and they followed her. She doesn’t bother looking back to them, allowing them to take in the view of the new world they are not much familiar with.
It must be making them feel very small, in a way. To be awakened within a world that isn’t familiar and evolved so much with new advancements, she would understand the feeling of alienation.
It’ll take a long time for them to adjust.
“Lena-chan~!”
Yelena then grunts when she is suddenly pulled into a hug by the blindfolded sorcerer himself.
“G-Gojo!” She squealed. Gojo grins then he frowns, feeling something sinister. He turns towards the five individuals, and he has to admit their presence is suffocating.
It wasn’t even funny.
“Lena-chan, who are these five?” He questioned.
“Um.....previous warriors from either from The Heian Era or maybe beforehand. All I know is that Sukuna’s presence woke them up.” she mentions to him.
“Sukuna woke them up?” Gojo repeats, his frown deepening at that. That could either be a good thing or a bad thing.
“So far, they don’t appear to be hostile towards us. Ignoring the fact one of them was about to kill Yuji, mistaking him for Sukuna for a moment there, which is a sign that they are enemies with him. I think I can attest that they’re more of a neutral kind of party, for now at the moment.” Yelena says to him, while managing to get out of his hold.
“By the way, how is Megumi?” she then asks the white-haired sorcerer.
“He’s fine but he was roughed up a bit.” he responds, making her hum at that.
“Well luckily one of them managed to save him from the curse. And they know about your clan, Gojo.” she replied, which made Gojo stunned.
“How much are we talking?” he questions.
“Basically from what I hear as they talk among themselves, I assume they know everything from what they know on ancestral origin grounds. So, enough is what I’d say.” Yelena responds to him, and Gojo hums at that.
“Do they know yours?” he asked.
“I don’t think so, I haven’t mentioned anything to them. All I know is they are familiar with the world of jujutsu but my main issue is that we’re not aware of them. We know about Sukuna and other threats but not them, and who sealed them in the first place...” she says to him as she got more questions than answers.
“Hmm... that is a mystery. Should I bring it up to the old coots and wring the answers out of them?” Gojo suggests with a grin on his face.
“I don’t trust a single word out of them. Which leaves me with one other thing that could have all the answers.” Yelena says, making Gojo look at her when she suddenly produces the retrieved Sukuna’s Finger from her pouch.
“I’m gonna wring it out from him.” Yelena remarks.
“Sukuna?” Gojo says to her.
“So far he’s the only valuable source that we could trust, since he’s familiar with them and vice versa. But for now, we have to get them adjusted to the modern era.” she replied, referring to the five.
“I suppose that’s fair. It’ll be kinda hilarious to watch them struggle at first.” Gojo admits with a chuckle. Yelena simply smacks his chest a little with the back of her free hand.
“Behave yourself.” she scolds him.
“You wound me!” he says dramatically, clutching onto his imaginary pearls.
The five gave him a deadpan stare.
Yelena sighs, turning to the five. “I’ve never asked your names, what are they?” She asked them.
The vampire woman messes with her hair a little. “Gelda is my name.” she remarks.
“Elizabeth.” The winged woman says her name next.
“Meliodas, and this is his younger brother, Zeldris.” Ryoko says while introducing the two only men among the five respectively. She then gestures to her, “And I am Ryoko Kuromiya.”
“Hmm... noted. As I mentioned before, this blindfold idiot here is Satoru Gojo.” Yelena says while gesturing to the white-haired male who looks at her with dramatic aghast at being called an idiot.
“As for myself, I am Yelena Carmella Ceres.” Yelena introduces herself to them with a neutral expression and tone.
“Ceres? Why does the name sound familiar..?” Meliodas mutters, placing a hand to his chin.
“Ceres, Ceres... We are familiar with Gojo Clan, Kamo-chan and last but certainly least the Zenin Clan.” Zeldris replied.
“Wait, those pigs are still alive, but then again the Kamo Clan has a known rapist in the clan. So far the only good clan I actually like are The Gojo Clan.” Gelda added.
“As you sh-”
“Don’t push your luck.” Yelena deadpans towards Satoru, obviously preening into the fact his clan is the only well-likable one in the five’s opinion.
“Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna find Yuji and hand this to him to eat it.” Yelena remarks, waving Sukuna’s Finger a little in her other hand. “How many fingers has he ate so far?”
“That should be his third one.” Satoru remarks.
“How is his body able to keep Sukuna at bay?” Elizabeth asked curiously, given how strong Sukuna is even with one finger their curse energy increases drastically.
“Is it possible that the boy could be a curse as well?” Ryoko asked curiously.
The questions had both Gojo and Yelena share a glance at each other. They both came to an assumption that Yuji is just naturally resilient to Sukuna, given his inhumane strength and all.
But at the possibility that he could be a curse?
“Gojo, do you mind doing a background check on Yuji? Just to see if there’s anything that might be unusual.” Yelena questions him, just to get to the bottom of it.
“Ya got it.” the white-haired sorcerer remarks.
“And take the five to my place. I’ll go find Yuji and take him to some place out in the open in case Sukuna comes out for even a little while when I give him the finger.” Yelena remarks, and she notices the look Satoru is giving her.
“Relax, it’ll be fine. I can handle Kuna.” Yelena reassures him with a smirk.
Gojo snickered. “Kuna. That’s funny, only you have the balls to say that to the King of Curses.”
Ryoko giggles with a blush. “She is a lady.” she commented.
Beautiful and strong, but also a lady.
This did not go unnoticed, with Gojo turning his attention to her and seemingly raising an eyebrow beneath his blindfold.
“Any who. I’ll be back in like an hour or so, keep them company if you can.” Yelena remarks with a carefree grin, and starts wandering off to go look for Yuji. She was instantly gone before the blink of an eye.
Ryoko blushes with a giggle. “Is she single? And does she like women?” She asks, referring to Yelena.
Gojo stares at Ryoko for several moments.
“Why do you wanna know?” Gojo questions her. Though if he had to be honest with himself, he knew that Yelena is actually bisexual. She admitted it through a game of truth and dare some time ago.
“Well I want to ask her if she wants to be my lover.” Ryoko replied to him with a grin in a very bold manner.
The white-haired sorcerer makes a sound like he just got punched in a gut. Harshly. That was something he kinda saw coming, but either way he was not prepared for it.
“You just met her!” he points out to her.
“Maybe but have you heard of Love at first sight? Especially given that she protected her student from me when I lost it.” she replies and Gojo just stares at her as if she’s insane. No wonder Sukuna was on edge with her.
Then he turns to the four. “Your friend is insane.” he blurted.
“We know.” The four respond back to him in unison casually. Oh dear, the fact they were not bothered by this at all tells it that they are completely used to it.
Although he also noticed that they appeared rather... bothered? Or did he misread whatever he saw within their facial expressions?
