"I am completely hooked on this book! The author’s writing style is fantastic. It’s punchy, direct, and moves with so much confidence without ever feeling rushed or over the top. What completely sold me is Rose. Too often on here, authors just slap a "badass" label on their main character and expect us to run with it, but Rose actually feels like a real, flesh-and-blood person with a distinct personality. She’s messy, funny, and bold, but seeing the rumors get to her and watching her make the conscious choice to sit down, open those books, and actually put in the work to prove everyone wrong made me respect her so much. Her competence isn't just handed to her; she’s actively earning it! And don't even get me started on her first encounter with Dante in that darkened office... LORD HAVE MERCY. 😮‍💨 It was magnetic, sensual, and dripping with raw tension in the absolute best way possible. The lighting of the joint, the banter, the chocolate... I honestly don’t know how the author managed to write a scene that electric, but I’ve re-read it an embarrassing number of times! If you're looking for an FMC with a functioning brain, elite chemistry, and a heroine who actually earns her character arc, start reading this right now.
