Chapter 1: Do I Know Him?

I entered the classroom expecting it to be full of chaos, and loud noises, but surprisingly, it was empty. Almost empty, as, on closer look, there was someone looking through the window. I went closer to him, and he turned.

My first thought was "Oh wait, why is he so freaking HANDSOME?" But, then I was hit by some weird feeling. Some feeling which said that I knew him. But I had never met him, why did it feel like we had been best friends for fifty years?

I pushed the thought away, and decided to say something before our first interaction got awkward.

"Hi! Nice to meet you, I'm Nora."

"Nice to meet you too, I'm Elias," he said, with a smile, which came across to me as something mysterious.

His eyes.

There was something about them, it's like I had seen them a million times. I could stare into them all day, which I would be doing because I had officially found my first crush. Okay, I might have told everyone that love at first sight was nothing but I never said anything about crush at first sight.

Or have I?

He was about to say something when my eyes were covered by something. It was someone's hands. A voice said "Guess who?" And I instantly knew it was Lana, my best friend. I said playfully, "How would I know? Are you a kidnapper or what?" just to keep the vibe alive with her. She took her hands off my eyes and said, "Didn't expect you to be such a bad friend."

"Aww, I was joking!"

She looked at him, then back at me, and said to me, "First crush?"

Before I could process what she just said, she turned to him and said, "Treat her right. She might behave like a joker sometimes, but she is not naturally bad."

I was flustered and turned bright red. WHY DID SHE HAPPEN TO KNOW EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING THROUGH MY MIND? I looked at him and he was smiling which made me even more embarrassed.

I held her hand, took her out of the class and asked her furiously, "WHY DID YOU DO THAT?"

"Yo, calm down. You liked him, didn't you?"

"Bruh, but you just messed our first interaction. I wonder what he might be thinking of me, at this point."

"As something you actually are – a joker"

"You can't be serious right now"

"You're fighting me over a random boy, you just met today. Anyways, you told me that you weren't into these things."

The bell rang. Everyone rushed into the classroom and so did I. As soon as I entered, I scanned the room with my eyes to see where he was sitting and sat right in front of him. Mission accomplished.

Lana followed me, sat beside me and whispered, "Oh, it isn't suspicious at all!"

First off, welcome to Inkitt, girl, and congrats on publishing your very first story, Samriddhi!🥹🎉
After reading the summary, I'm honestly super intrigued already! That plot twist has me so curious. I'm getting major reincarnation vibes since you mentioned that Nora and Elias die every single time they fall in love. I'm definitely excited to see how all of that unfolds.
As for the first chapter, it was short, sweet, and such an easy read. Nora's inner thoughts felt charming and easy to relate to, especially her instant confusion over why Elias seemed so familiar. The little moments between Nora and Lana gave the story a warm, natural feel, and Lana nearly made me laugh out loud with her teasing.
Looking forward to finding out what happens next.
Ti auguro di cuore tutto il meglio!
